Just remember, the show home is finished to a much higher standard than all the others. I don't mean furnishings and decor, I mean the quality of the build itself. Barrat are one of the many major builders who build poorly but because of the constant high demand, they can get away with it
My grandparents got theirs about 25 years ago. Was shocking then what they found hidden in the shower to keep it in place. Then they had to spend more money to get the drainage out of the garden. There house was 63,000 for 3 bed detached.
I live in a ex council house in Swansea and its brilliant the walls are straight solid its lovely and warm 3 bedrooms large living room outside toilet and large back side and front garden and for 350 thousand pounds you can almost get 3 houses for this price......YOU ARE ALL BEING RIPPED OFF 😊
From working in property it's the location too. Near good schools, nice area, not Council, decent garden, preferably non estate are all the things people want. Or if it's a new build, one where there are different styles of home & some landscaped shared areas, so it's not too cheap & mass produced looking.
It's a mess, doors all over the place in such a tiny house really limits where furnish could go. Vile garden going round back of next door, absolute disaster of design.
Love you two, watched you and subscribed since the beginning . The outside of the house reminds me of my home, boxy. It’s from the 70s, everything is square and boring. Love you vlogs and watching you inspire and just looking for my forever home, so I can sell this one xxx
newbuild council and housing assocation homes come just as beautiful as this now, not to mention after a certain amount of time you can buy it with a discount haha.
Having lived in a Barratt Homes house with 5 bedrooms, with 2 en-suites, (from new) since 2001, I’m sorry to say I would never buy another house from this builder! Absolutely terrible builders! Such awful workmanship!
Love the kitchen but find the rest a bit small for the price 🤷♀️ would have been nice if they had done built in wardrobes in the master to make use of that space. There wouldnt be any space for anything else in there other than the drawers so it feels compact.
Great house tour as usual. I suspect that the neighbourhood isn't posh enough for Maureen. Love your tours as you bring a special something to the tours. keep them going it's nice to see how you would actually get the houses.
Reminds of my grandmothers house which was built in the 1950s but was on a slant and all the rooms were odd shapes...i thought it was a perfect house....
Downstairs great I like it. Upstairs no bedrooms to small. My bedroom is 13x 12.5 and is defo a double room. I doubt very much any of these so called double rooms are these dimensions????
I would get rid of that first door to the kitchen… Extend the cupboards and countertops and add a pantry in the space behind that extended cupboard/cabinet space.
Looks like a new build from 25 years ago. Nothing new or special about it at all. It's 2024, where's the solar, Heat pump, underfloor heating, EV charger etc? Zero forward thinking in a world of passivhaus type houses.
I live in a new build. My daughters bedroom is smaller than a cell 6ft x 6ft. I would say my old 2 bed council house is bigger than this 3 bed new build. Also in this new build I can hear my neighbour taking a 💩 😂
It's a nice enough house, but I wouldn't pay £329k for a cookie cutter new build. The unusual shape makes it seem bigger, but compared to the house I live in, that master bedroom is a box room. I'd rather have a nice old house with character, and renovate to a high standard myself, retaining and restoring as many original features as possible.
345k for something you would consider a start up in the US for the lower paid 9 to 5 minimum wage worker. Definitely need trailer parks (dont sneer they arent all bad) if thats what you get for your buck in the UK. How and where does the average joe live if thats all you get for over a third of a million?
I agree! This is a new build house, new build houses are expensive for what you get. They are built quick and cheap as possible and priced as expensive as possible.
Most of us average Joe's in the UK wouldn't be living in something nearly as crap as this lol. Probably a current or ex council house about a 100 years old, better built, twice as big and less than half the price of this new build. Put it this way in my area (which is quite a nice area tbf and not council) £345k would get you at least 5 bedrooms, a garage and good sized font/rear gardens lol.
For £345k that is shockingly small. I also don't understand the thing with new builds trying to cram in more rooms than theres space for. I'd rather lose the single room and ensuite and just have 2 nice big bedrooms and a spacious family bathroom. If i had children and needed a 3rd bedroom I'd rather buy an older home than this. New builds are like living in rabbit hutches. Different strokes for different folks and all that but for me personally this isn't a home I'd ever consider moving into, especially at that price tag.
This is exactly the same layout as a new build I looked at about 15 years ago! Same layout. I wouldn’t have been able to put my furniture in the sittingroom and I don’t really like the having to have two sofas along one wall! Horrible. And Barratt homes are dreadfu, ex husband and various friends had major snagging issues.
Hopefully an extractor fan in the loo as no window ... Horrible garden idea, you may as well remove the fence as you'd be cheek by jowl with the neighbours if you were all outside in your gardens. Hilarious of Barratt to put a two seater sofa in the kitchen by the oven😂 Well overpriced house for the pokey setup .
£345,000?! I hate to think how much it would cost if it wasn't a small box, had some aesthetic character and charm, a proper garden, a driveway for at least 2 cars, a garage, without the house having parking spaces a few feet from the house and, finally, at least some semblance of privacy. That is a ridiculously overpriced house. It is NOT a home. 🤣

Being ripped off is paying 500k for a bed sit in London. It about location and land prices , as much as anything else.
@@damianleah6744 people are playing around with building supply. There should be no reason for homes to be so out of reach.
I love the flow downstairs!
Looks small and low spec for £345k.
please explain the front of your trousers
That’s one of the ugliest houses I’ve ever seen. What on earth are they thinking with this?
It's a very odd shape.
It's the worst.
It's a mess, doors all over the place in such a tiny house really limits where furnish could go. Vile garden going round back of next door, absolute disaster of design.
It’s amazing how well y’all coordinate with the picture above your heads

What on earth is going on with your trousers at the front?
I came straight to the comments
Too tight so everything bulges out 😳😳😳
I thought that 😂 is hiding a gun 😂
I’m so glad I’m not the only one that noticed lol
A nappy maybe?
Shout out to Shrewsbury, yes !!!!!!!!
Love your house show videos. Keep up the great work.
What a lovely house 😮😊.. quite surprising.. love ALL your videos & your garden is lovely & you both are to best wishes xx
looks like an expensive council house 😂

I would agree, I own one for 8 years and was glad to sell it on.
Looking good together
Good job

Beautiful family home, love how safe the garden is for children and pets..🥰🥰
I do enjoy your tours-we use to do that as well in the states for fun. Cheers.

The kitchen 😊
I would get rid of that first door to the kitchen… Extend the cupboards and countertops and add a pantry in the space behind that extended cupboard/cabinet space.
These new builds are just so tiny, not worth the money, not built with bricks and mortar no more..give me an older house any day..
Looks like a new build from 25 years ago. Nothing new or special about it at all. It's 2024, where's the solar, Heat pump, underfloor heating, EV charger etc? Zero forward thinking in a world of passivhaus type houses.
Great house tour! ❤
I didnt like this one, rooms arent all that big for the price of the house 😕
I live in a new build. My daughters bedroom is smaller than a cell 6ft x 6ft. I would say my old 2 bed council house is bigger than this 3 bed new build. Also in this new build I can hear my neighbour taking a 💩 😂
Sink and a half? Where?
Sink and drainer?
Where's the dryer in the kitchen I like the kitchen
Combined washer-dryer.
Dire. 😮😮
What a dreadful looking house let alone inside .these builders are robbing us of a decent home
Looks like a cardboard box with windows & a door. Absolutely no personality-drab 🙄
agreed, its vile

I think our money goes a bit further as we get more things cheaper or ‘free’ such as healthcare.

i like to know the price even if it is just a rough guide , love your vlogs , great fan
Price is on thumbnail ❤️
345k
Extremely poor value. Barratt homes are always very cheaply made too.
Hey hey, great to see you over here. If you were not aware and you are seeing this video organically it's me Royal Reviewer. x
This is the closest thing I have seen to the typical layout of an American home that I have seen so far. We would have fewer doors though.
Very nice house
Get your eyes tested 👀

very small oven
They need to employ architects..... no vision in thesecawful boxes
a floor plan at the beginning of the video would be helpful ....
Hi, one is included at the end. We like viewers to go on an exploration with us.

That is a lovely house. ❤
Trees, greenery?
My tv is too big for this house. And they're only gonna get bigger! 😢
No fireplace
Not all new houses have them.
Where put vacuum cleaner
You could put it In the cupboard under the stairs.
@norabradley9108 sometime l put my vacuum on landing show is easy get it
That living room is a total nightmare. It's like a wide tunnel. Meh.
Hopefully an extractor fan in the loo as no window ...
Horrible garden idea, you may as well remove the fence as you'd be cheek by jowl with the neighbours if you were all outside in your gardens. Hilarious of Barratt to put a two seater sofa in the kitchen by the oven😂

Incredibly ugly on the outside, weird downstairs loo - why not put it on the outside wall so you can have a window ?
the song little boxes comes to mind ... dreadful place to have to live, not enough light too many doors and not enough storage space
No built in wardrobes. How do you Brits manage with little free standing cupboards. No garage. No thanks.
What kind of money is that ffs
You tube unsubscribes me?
Its a box ugly home how much no chance
Looks like an enlarged Doll's House.Over priced!
Dull. Boring. Nondescript. Characterless. Uninspiring. 😶
Oodles of bland
I'm not into new builds
Boring, sterile and nothing unusual..
Ugly and over priced.
Big, BIG gay….. house?
