    This appears to be a wonderful explanation. I will begin working on this immediately as I often struggle with this move....wind up getting stuck on the right side and then over the top. Thanks for posting.

    Outstanding presentation and explanation. Watched video and practiced for an for an hour or so, then played 18. Hit ball much better, lots more distance and consistency. Knew I was having problems with weight shift but couldn't figure out what to do until I saw this.

    Excellent demonstration. IMHO, most of us amateurs over use our hips in the downswing, trying to find extra power. For solid strikes, you have to be posted up before the arms come through. This video helps to get posted up and not over use the hips.

    Been working on leaving the hands and flexing/squatting in transition. Then firing the arms it sounds simple but it works . Love see other ideas 💡

    Does the hip bump coincide with the change of pressure from right foot to left foot? In some videos the pressure shift is said to be earlier in the backswing for most pros. I wish I could do this move consistently.

    • @Hittingitsolid
      @Hittingitsolid  Před 3 lety +2

      Yes it does, with a lot of pros they are shifting pressure to the lead side before their backswing is finished, giving them a head start. Takes a bit of practice. Cheers

    Being an oldie I lift me left heel on the backswing and place it down to start my downswing. Do I need to do more???

    • @Hittingitsolid
      @Hittingitsolid  Před 4 lety +1

      That's still okay Bob, many great players today are doing that such as Bubba Watson and Molinari. The key is making sure you feel pressure in your lead side in the downswing which is what most golfers forget. Cheers

  • @bash2040
    @bash2040 Před 3 lety

    The question is when does that little shift happen as you cannot pause at top and some of the pros shift even before they get to the top of their backswing so how does it work ????

    • @Hittingitsolid
      @Hittingitsolid  Před 3 lety +1

      I feel it happens before you reach the top of the backswing. It does for most good players. Cheers

    Good video. I am good at the 2" hip bump when there is not ball, but I struggle when I am over the ball. Does your "moving the left knee" (czcams.com/video/KaeIb5WmFtM/video.html) achieve the same hip bump. Everyone needs a trigger and i find my knee is a better trigger than my hip, If i concentrate on my hip my swing freezes/stalls and end up on my back foot.

    • @Hittingitsolid
      @Hittingitsolid  Před rokem +1

      Thanks David, yes I think the left knee can work as a good trigger for this move. I would experiment with it and see the results you get. Cheers
