    Interesting video re: lifting left foot. I have tried it and have found it also stops me coming over the top if I stomp my heel down towards the target before I start my downswing. I can feel the club path comes more from the inside. Does that make sense ?

    Good tips! For me I switched to a normal from a strong grip, giving me a slight draw. Another tip is make sure your rotating your shoulders all the way through the swing, not hitting the ball and slowing down on shoulder rotation.Trail shoulder coming down and all the way through.

    I alway sat middle for wedges. Left nut through 8 iron and a quarter inch for each club up after then u have driver spot on

      As you move up the numbers, ball position moves back. Wedge middle means you have a higher chance of thinning.

      @@beanman8573 i was super inconsistent until i moved ball up for longer irons. U need to move the ball up for more space and with limited loft it has to be forward to get it up. If back works for you, awesome. But id challenge u to compare dispersement with ten balls slightly forward comapred to back

    Troy, I really like your explanation of shallowing the club, hip rotation, and working the left shoulder down. I've been struggling with all three of these for years. Using your guidance and drills I'm finally able (for the first time) to create some lag in my swing. Hip forward thrusting and early extension have been difficult habits for me to break. I went to an indoor practice range that provides playback from both front and rear cameras. I was simply amazed seeing myself in the proper swing positions for the first time. However, I always have difficulty in transferring the proper movements into a real round of golf. Seems, I have too many swing thoughts (per your excellent videos) to integrate into my game and under the pressure of playing a real round of golf I fail miserably. Can you provide any thoughts or comments on how to move swing changes from the practice range to the first tee? Thanks - Jon

      Thanks Jon, focus on one area of improvement at a time. Do thousands of reps. Until you feel comfortable, then move on to the next area.

    This is a must to do for good ball striking. U must also allow your head to rotate. Keeping your head down & back will restrict this rotation.

    To stop from stalling, just keep the body moving. Quantifying it isn't relevant, meaning that we can "position" ourselves out of stalling. "I won't stall if I just turn my hips through 30 degrees" won't work. Develop pivot lag and keep rotating around the lead heel. Great video!

    How do you stop slamming the club into the deck or taking a massive divot. I’m missing a piece of the puzzle as when I do this I get huge divots, any ideas?

      You’re missing the forward shaft lean and getting your low point in front of the golf ball

      Thanks, my divots are low and after the ball…just too low 😂 my head doesn’t understand how forward shaft lean helps reduce divots, but please advise. I was wondering if I’m just not getting up and out of my left side enough to maybe shallow out at impact 🤷‍♂️ and if it’s just a timing thing I need to work on 🤷‍♂️

      @@ianblackburn5935 No pro here BUT I think with early extension (EE) the tendency is to dump wrist/elbows angles early which is needed to get the club down to the ball. Therefore, without EE one would need to hold onto the wrist/arm angle longer (or at least that's the feel) which gets the hands in front of the ball and makes so you can hit without grounding club too early. That's my take anyway.

    Ive been practicing this so much lately. I try to feel like my arms start dropping as i shift my weight and when I hit about 9'oclock, i accelerate and fire my hips. The crazy part is it doesnt feel like i swing hard but the club makes the swoosh sound.

    Appreciate the translation that this is what the athlete is perceiving, or trying to feel in their movements. Theres similar asvice from baseball hitting coaches to adjust swings where it feels likr youre chopping down on the ball, but its correcting the swing mechanics.
