Hoover Dam ~ Lake mead scenes revised 9 12 22 movie

Now that global climate issues are getting lots of attention, we are reminded of the monumental hydroelectric dams/power plants, built back in the early 20th century, to redistribute water resources, of the Colorado River and other national waterways. The projects reduced massive turn-of-the-century flooding, and produced jobs, while generating electricity, following the great depression.
The 1931 construction, and '36 completion of Hoover Dam, and the formation of the Lake Mead Reservoir, made the growth of Las Vegas, Phoenix, and the development of southern California possible.
