What if I did put water in the exhaust side before I saw the part that said not to do that?

and foam should come out of this filter after rinsing, on the other hand, when drying

The important part- removing the filter was so poorly made, one can hardly see anything. And then a great view on how to rinse it. Over and over and over again... as if we don’t know how to do it.

I washed my hepa filter as well as just gave my entire rainbow a scrub down and it smells so bad now. It smells worse than any vacuum I've ever owned 😭

Let me clue you in on the issues with Rainbows that make them stink.
Don’t store the rainbow with the water basin installed. Wash it and dry it after every use, and store it on top of the machine until you’re ready to use it.
If you wash the filter, treat it like a Dyson filter. Leave it out in the sun until it’s totally dry.
If you’ve picked up wet messes, use the straight suction hose only, and wash it out with a garden hose or what have you after every use.

@@LarryMarston it’s seriously the most difficult vacuum to use. Not only is it stinky if you don’t immediately clean and dry it after ever single use, you can never get the smell out no matter how much you try to clean it.
The extra 30 mins to clean the vacuum just isn’t worth it IMO. I hate this thing. Just because it’s expensive doesn’t make it good.
I live where half the year it’s below freezing so cleaning it out after is very annoying.

Won't running the rainbow on high on a filter that is still wet destroy the paper-based filter? I've been told you should let it dry for 24 hrs over the water basin before reinstalling.

mark40511 hey! So I’m a dealer of the rainbow. You should get a new one every 6 years. Not just clean it, like the video. But actually buy a whole new hepa filter. So they are around 39 dollars. Call your distributor and get one. (If needed)

      Hepa doesn’t make washable filters.
No matter how many times they call it a hepa filter It’s not hepa. There is no such thing as washable paper

Check if it is actually water washable, because some are not. This video is not best. the unit should be disassembled completely with filter out and washed/air cleaned (brush, compressor). Dry in air or filter yould rip apart.

Why is this filter dirty? Isnt' the water filtering 100% ???

    • @Pukovnik141
      @Pukovnik141 Před 3 lety +2

Water doesn't filter all particles. It is better than only air filtering, but small particles and hydrohobic particles can still pass through water. That is why ttherer is secondary filter after water. The efficiency of water filtration depends on vacuum cleaned design ( airflow ), but generaly water is better than air ( not perfect).

Water should be poured from exhaust-exit (cleaner) side so that debris and dust can be removed easyly. If you pour water from the side air moves whan vacuuming, you will only push dust deeper into filter. Also this wideo is not showing it correctly, this unit should be opened completely until you see filter. Filter should be cleaned after(brush, compressed air, water). CAUTION! Some filters are NOT water washable so check before operation. Dry on air or filter could rip apart.
