      @@kiloton1920 think about it though. Two people here said that the rainbow has lasted them years. I’ve owned a 600$ dyson and it died in two years and they just seem to die fast. 600 x 7.5 (15 years divided by 2) and that’s around 3,750 dollars. One person here said 30 years thats 9000$ you are spending on a vacuum when you could front 3000 to begin with and have a product that’s long lasting.

    I've had the same Rainbow vacuum for over 30 years and I absolutely LOVE it! I get my Rainbow vacuum serviced every few years and my 30 year old vacuum still has the best suction ever. I've retrieved jewelry dropped down drains, cleared clogged dains, sucked up every possible wet mess there is and I would not trade my Rainbow for any other vacuum cleaner. My husband bought mine at my request for an engagement gift; he was shocked that I didn't ask for jewelry or whatever. No better vacuum than Rainbow!

      @@janjones4960 is yours the original chrome dome? I bought my unit and I think it was right after they came out with the beater bar carpet head with the electrical connection in the hose. It came with two hoses, one for wet pick-ups - no electrical connections. It was a huge investment for a 20 something single girl, but I was able to have dogs, even though I suffered with allergies. I sold my chrome dome (I don't know why all these years later) As I was detailing it to sell I discovered that the exhaust air wasn't as clean as Rainbow wanted you to believe. The inside of the walls of the dome had caked on mud that required a lot of elbow grease to clean out. I understand that the newer models have a final stage heppa filter to catch those particles that the water doesn't trap. I don't think they are worth the money anymore since the sales hype leads you to think they are flawless. Frankly, I am very happy with the results i get, and the longevity of, our Dyson. NO VACUUM CAN TRAP ALL OF THE DUST by virtue of the fact that air must flow through to work at all, but Rainbow is definitely one of the best out there. What I miss most with my Dyson is there is no exhaust port to hook your hose up to. My Rainbow also served well as a sprayer! I stained the back deck in short order with the spray jar attachment and didn't have to buy a separate tool to do the job. I have so many projects I could use it for now...

    The HUGE ADVANTAGE of the Rainbow is that bugs, fleas, bug eggs, spiders, are DEAD IN THE WATER!! I've had my Rainbow for almost 30 years and it still runs! I got a deeper water tank so I don't have to fill it up as much as the smaller water tanks. Also, I used to have expensive Kirby's and Electroluxs and the motors all died. You have to get the vacuum bags all the time and all it does is filter out the bigger dirt particles and makes it go out the other end as smaller dust particles. That's why the filters smell so bad. You just redistribute the dirt to go out the other side of the filter and it still gets back into your carpets, floors, nose , air. When you suck up the dirt in the Rainbow, all the dirt, the mud, the dust gets trapped in the water filter and it doesn't go out the other end. No more accumulated flea eggs, spiders, ants, bugs etc. They instantly drown, so you don't have to worry that they will crawl out of your vacuum to go back into your home!!! I love the concept.

    Sat through the in-home presentation. Fatalistically premium product. really. Totally worth it just for the entertainment...and the 'free, no obligation' room sanitizer. Then, of course, the final question: how much. $3995.
    But...the famous, "today" discount, $200 credit if I give him my old vacuum, another $200 credit if I post on social media, my contact list so they can solicit my friends and if they buy, I get $100 cash-back. Financing (thru 'outside' company) at 24%.

    I became a believer a long time ago when I was first introduced to Rainbow by chance. At the time I had been a die-hard fan of KIRBY which is still a good machine, but no match for the Rainbow. I was shocked how well the Rainbow E2 and D-4 spanked the competition.
    I always loved the water and I am a certified SCUBA Diver as well; I was pleasantly impressed with the Rainbow water based filtration system. Simply put: wet dirt doesn't fly! Yes there are a few more steps with Rainbow in comparison-like dumping out the water and cleaning out the tank... who wants to live in a filthy environment? I purchased the old D-4 which is a great choice. I have the bigger tank, you should invest in a bigger tank too. My old D-4 has proven to be the most amazing vac ever! My house has never been cleaner.
    The amount of filth this Rainbow D-4 is amazing. I have two dogs and they can't help it, they are always dragging in stuff with their paws. I'll never be without a dog or my D-4 Rainbow. When I use the Rainbow, I vac very, very slowly, so I can pick up the maximum dirt and filth by the pound, literally!!! What other system picks up dirt by the pound? Oh, the last KIRBY was donated to a charity re-sale store. No more KIRBY's for me, I'm a Rainbow fan for ever and you'll be one too.
    Make sure you get one or two of the little companion Rainmate, you'll love it. Sure it's an investment. Your investing in your family's health. Amortize the cost over 40 years, and you'll see your saving money: not having to by carpet so often. Not having to buy those cheap plastic vacuums from the big box store. Not having to get the carpets cleaned professionally once or twice or year, etc. I did a barefoot test myself. I cleaned and area with KIRBY, then alongside area I did the rainbow with the same amount of vacuum time. The Rainbow side of the carpet felt clean and fluffy-soft, better than new as a matter of fact. The other side done with the KIRBY, not so much. You can feel the difference.
    Then I dumped the Rainbow's tank just to see for my self what would happen if I went over the KIRBY'S area with a clean water supply in the Rainbow. KIRBY left all the dirt for some reason??? Rainbow picked up so much filth, I actually felt sorry for the KIRBY. KIRBY you gotta go! Rainbow saved the day and from that moment on, it's Rainbow for me! Don't be fooled, do your own tests and you'll see for yourself. Rainbow will win every time. You'll love Rainbow as much as I do.

    They do work good but it is like hauling around a shop vac through your house. And you have to take it apart, fill the tub with water, put it back together then pull it around the house. We like ours but pretty much never use it. We bought a Ryobi cordless stick vacuum and love it. You just grab it and walk around the house cleaning. Not cords or huge vacuum to pull around. When we finish vacuuming with the Ryobi, I charge the battery (which takes about 2 hours) and put it back on the vacuum and it is ready to go for the next time I want to use it. And I can clean the entire 2,400 sf house on just 1 charge.

    • @LillithLeonard
      @LillithLeonard Před 3 lety +2

      Because the Rainbow uses air flow and not suction, if you must use the power nozzle on the hard floor, simply use the lowest height setting and DO NOT engage the beater bar (take your finger off the button so the power nozzle motor does not come on). This is to preserve the brushes. Also, do not use the power nozzle to clean up wet messes.

    I myself am a Rainbow dealer that is what I do for a living I sell them we highly recommend people do not buy rainbow vacuums from anybody but the Rainbow industry themselves as we provide a ten year warranty. Also the Rainbow system will not work affectively if you do not have the rainbow attachments that shampooer is not meant for the rainbow that piece that you used on the couch also it’s not meant for the rainbow all of the dry attachments are complete free with your purchase you could also get all the wet attachments completely for free very easily. Also you take all those things that you had listed if someone didn’t know about them they did not buy them from Rainbow dealer that is what makes the rainbow not just good but amazing

    Did anyone ever use a Ocean Blue? This was made after Rainbow. It works just like this but came with extra stuff. It was 2k so, I couldn't afford one but it took sand out of carpet that was cleaned. The sand would be per sand. Just put a panty hose in-between your vac parts u'll see what your picking up that your vacuums leave behind..yes even shark and Dyson...
