- Cleaning my pretty new pUrple mattress while my wonderful husband is in the hospital waiting for tests. He’s ok for the moment , not in pain , he had some pressure won his chest and all tests came back good. No heart attack, stress test Monday. I just got home from visiting him and instead of walking around my house in circles I decided to vacuum my mattress! Go figure.
Hey Michelle. First I hope your husband is doing well and you did a great video. I love my srx. I've had rainbows for over 20 years and they are the best out there. One quick tip you can attach the handle of the hose straight to the power nozzle when you vacuum your mattress to make it easier for you to use. You don't nessessarily have to use the wands. I also use the power nozzle on my microsuede couches when I clean to get all the cat hair off.
My previous Rainbow E2 seemed to be much more powerful, as in suction / cleaning power; but the SRX is also way easier and faster to use compared to my older one. I still can’t believe the price jumped from $2,000 to $3,500 since got my first one in 2009. It’s just how it is though. These days, is someone wants quality anything they have to pay a fortune for it. I prefer that route, though, because higher quality stuff doesn’t need replacing so I won’t be spending money on vacuums again for at least 20 years. My sister’s mother in law has a Rainbow from 1993 and it’s still her main vacuum and she uses it regularly, plus they don’t develop that wet dog smell other vacs do. I love to run mine as an air purifier on high for an hour or two each day (and low 24/7) while I’m doing dishes or other house work. It makes my home feel pristine at all times, but what I love about it is that it’s because it truly does make it that way - and for years.
i just got my srx and im in love. the price did shock me but being able to make payments helped a lot. id never heard of it before and its seriously amazing! ii hope to have mine a couple of decades
We’ve had our rainbow SRX for around 2 4 years now. It probably needs serviced by now 😅… I must mention that the hose near the handle started coming apart and the hard plastic part on the same end is separating. I don’t feel like it really cleans and sucks like it used to but again, it could be from the machine not being serviced. I believe they wanted around $150 to service the machine last time i checked.
What?! I had no idea that Rainbow vacuums were still being produced. My mom had one and we loved it!!
Oh yeah! Their best model is the e-2 black, so many features!
You should go real slow to allow the fine particles/dust mites time to reach the surface for pick up.

1st mattress that actually doesn’t make u all hot like normal memory foam ….. However buy a mattress protector the purple one is like $100 bucks for a 3k dollar mattress do it’

Without one it just soaks up swart and body oil making it very dirty!
under the on and off button I get a flashing yellow light what does that mean and what to do when that happens
You do not have enough water in the bowl of the rainbow. You need to have it over the thing in the bowl
I just had my first demo yesterday (I bought this one) and he told me that the water level should be just below the bump. Although I’m not sure what the difference would be between another inch of water. Feel free to educate me, I’m a newbie! Haven’t used it yet on my mattress but it worked great on my rug (with the amount of water the dude told me) yesterday
@@KelseySharp Actually, the water should be even with the post.
I always put the water just above the bump but it can go up or down, it really shouldn't matter.

Our guy told us the water level should be below the bubble.

@@MrJontyPatel Hello, If you use E-bay, you might look for new models. They have new and used models. I just checked if Amazon would have them. Well, of course they do have it. Also, Amazon had new and used models. I thought this would least give you an idea what you are looking for. If you are shopping for one, this would be great place to start, and maybe one would be just the right one for you:)
