- SsangYong. It's a name not many people know of, but nowadays the Korean company builds some good cars. The Korando is one of its latest, but is it an SUV you should ignore and go and buy a Nissan Qashqai instead? I find out.

Bought this car 2 months ago and I love it! safest car i ever had
How are the feelings now? After 5 months of use, looking forward to get this car
@@user-mm1pl3pb1c feels amazing! And boi the features are just that good
Great review Batch, thank you for the positive comments and feedback! Question is... did the trousers match the car?
Very good review i’m willing to give it a shot.
very useful review ,thanks
Top notch review 👌
Always good reviews. Congratulations. Now you just need to improve the editing of the videos.
Stiff suspension is down to the wheels. 18-inch is too big. Swap for 17" or 16". Comfort before looks.
Wish the sound quality and film was better
I had a petrol one for 2 weeks rented during a holiday last year, great car, the only catch is poor mpg
What was the MPG please?Petrol?
How do you think Sang Yong and Hyundai Tusan compare which one is better? Thank you.
I compared both; SY seems more spacios and robust, all necessary systems from base, rest quite similar except price.
PLEASE post more often
I try and post as often as I can - your comment will kick me up the arse to post more often! 😊
@@batchreviews cool. Ur reviews are great. Quite underrated actually 👍
Agreed, would like to see more frequent videos.
Definitely agree with everyone else. Your reviews are fantastic. We need to see more please Batch.
Very good review thanks. Nice car but needs a better petrol engine.
Having tested the 1.5 petrol engine, I have to disagree. It's quite responsive at low rpms and it delivers reasonable power for this price bracket. Honestly, can you really find better in terms of drivetrains and in THIS price range? I don't think so. On the other hand, the real downside is fuel consumption and one of the reasons for my choice of a Duster 1.3 tce instead of this car.
To compare the Korando with multiple bland, SUV/4x4 lookalikes is unfair. It's actually a very capable, well specked car. And if you need it to actually do any 4x4 off road type stuff; well, it can actually tackle it. Ah, but I hear the easily led chirping. What about it's reliability, compared to the Germans? Good question 🤔 How many of them offer a7 year warranty! 😐
Your delivery reminds me of Quentin Wilson of old Top Gear fame. Wish Ssanyong well. Always seen them as Suzuki rivals and were doing reasonably well until they got into trouble
Does it include radar cruise and lane keep assist?
I believe so, but I’ll double check and get back to you
@@batchreviews Thanks
@V-GUN it has cruise control and lane keeping assist as well as lane departure warning
Radar cruise is not an option, but it has LKAS and RTCA.
Nice car
My understanding is it's not Korean brand any more, please correct me if I'm wrong
Is this same as Tivoli?
This is a family car, and you don't show the back seats 😒 or talk about space for car seats. Did I miss it?
Was the outside footage of a 3 year old car, stock footage? and was the inside filmed of a 1990s vivitar camera , if not you need to upgrade your equipment.
Oh, didn’t you like it Martin?
Not sure , in fact deffo not sure about the Quentin Wilson tribute act. If there's one act that does not need reprising...is him... mind you. Honest review..that's all we want✅.
Like like just need 20k
l do good amount mileage
It's a fairly good car, but the 1.5T likes to drink, and it doesn't give you a lot of confidence in the wet well below the national speed limit and driven like an old person!
Even this good review wouldn’t convince me.
Why u such a badge snob?
@@georgedowns4034 the badge is ok, it’s what it’s on I dislike. Ugly car.
@@colinrenfrew48 ah ok. Just wanted to clarify...
Great video, but I still don't like the car, I think the Dacia Duster would be a better value buy, or even one of the MG
true, as long as you compare top dacia stepway with base korando
I would generally prefer Korean over Chinese for quality, but I have a soft spot for the MG brand.
Dacia feels and looks much cheaper and is only marginally cheaper to buy. It has much less equipment too.
I think I prefer the exterior design of the previous generation Korando.
Why is that?
@@georgedowns4034 To me the old one looks more cute. Like the Vauxhall Mokka
@@reko3103 fair enough...but what is your opinion on the new Qashqai...?...
@@georgedowns4034 I think the Qashqai is keeping with its theme and holding on to its strengths. However, nowadays it has a whole lot of competition rather than just having the market all to itself. If we're talking about looks, I much prefer the current Qashqai to the old one.
I prefer the interior design of the old Korando. This one looks classy outside and the dash looks good but dull.
Trouble is if you buy one,one day you are going to want to sell it or p/x it
Then you will see just how it (didn't ) hold its value.
And on a PCP I suspect the retained future value won't be helping your monthly payments.
