This has been such a storm in a teacup by the GP community. The option was still there this morning on EMIS, Capita and TPP would be open to litigation if they went blindly by what NHSE requested. GP surgeries are data controllers, the data processor cannot adjust your data. Even if they removed the nice easy radio button, we'd still be well within our rights to request an opt out.

How does this effect things like Digital triaging tools, would their write back functions be affected by turning this off?
TTP statement today said they are not making this change and will continue with talks with NHSE - But will not make any further changes without notification.
how will this affect things like digital triaging systems and EMIS Hub/Clinical services? will turning this off prevent write back from things like paco and anima?
