That song gives me chills every time I hear it. What surprises me the most is that he is singing in English and Italian neither of which are his native language. Then, add in that he sings a duet by himself. Amazing!

A GOD GIVEN TALENT; orphaned at the age of 7.. living on the streets,sad crying and lonely he would sing..he was discovered at the age of 17 singing! (Self taught)

The crazy thing is he was on the same America’s Got Talent as Angelina Jordan and they were both beaten by a Dance Group, a Trapeze Duo and a Violinist!!! Absolutely ridiculous!!

Out of this world! He sets a new dimension of singing.
I was taken in, too. I thought his falsetto (and such a pure falsetto) was his chest voice. And then he comes in with this tenor that borders on baritone. He's gotta have at least a five octave range. I've heard some folks with large vocal ranges, but Sr. Pomoy has to rank up there.
Bill, Marcelito is not singing falsetto. He was born with the ability to sing in soprano, tenor and baritone ranges...all of which are self-taught!! And he's also singing in both English and Italian while sitting down! He is truly gifted.

Back when I was younger, I remembered that it was just a regular occurrence whenever there is a Fiesta in our place in the Philippines. It's called DOBLE CARA, competitors would make a costume with half for female and for male. Do make ups with male.and female faces and sometimes it goes as a funny one because the entertainment is very very incredible. Only Marcelito got to master the technique as I've seen but before it's all our oldies whose been doing that. If only we got phone cams on that Era, you will see a whole lot of them. Everywhere in the Philippines...

The thing to appreciate is he's singing with nuance and emotion in his 3rd and 4th languages, as well as doing two voices simultaneously, AND switching instantly from a pop singing style to a pop-opera style.

This is a great cover, there is another solo performance that you will enjoy. It was done by Anthony Callea while was a contestant on Australia Idol, I may be biased as I am an Aussie but I think it THE BEST over of this song

A duet by himself, female and male parts, in two languages (neither of which is his first language), effortlessly, sitting down on a bus and he is self taught, no singing training at all. There are some special people on this planet and if you read a little about Marcelito's life story you will find it even more astonishing.

But is says here you're doing a duet, so where's the other person?" "I'm doing it alone". "Oh, now I get it: you're a comedian and the introduction was part of your shtick- am I right?"
