    Thank you so much for the honesty. All of the other CZcamsrs rave about ensley Reign, but nobody is talking about creasing... I love shifty shade, but when they are emollient, they crease like hell.... so they are no use to me.

      Depends on who you watch but if they don't have hooded lids they may actually not struggle with it.

      Hey guys 😊
      I actually have problems with creasing with almost every brand. Unearthly, pat McGrath, adept, etc….
      I have very very oily hooded eyelids. When I wear no eyeshadow I still need an eyeshadow primer to assure that my mascara doesn’t smudge throughout the day.
      I need a glitter glue just to make sure that pat McGraths metallics don’t crease on me…
      But I have to say I’m really really impressed with ensley reign, even the emollient shades don’t crease on me for some reason, even after a good 12-14 hour wear there is no creasing 🤷‍♀️
      I was sooo over the moon to discover this brand!!!
      And I’m just a person who loves eyeshadow, I bought everything with my own money, I don’t have a CZcams channel or even any other social media other than Facebook, so here’s also a completely unbiased opinion for you.
      To me these shadows are truly worth the price 😅
      I guess at the end of the day even if we all have hooded or oily eyelids, we are still all different 😊
      Lots of love 🫶🏻
      Ps: I usually just use one matte and one shimmer and be done with it, maybe that’s why they are not creasing on me, less is more 🤷‍♀️
      Also I always use eyeshadow for my mattes and then glitter glue for the shimmers and I apply the shimmers solely with my fingers

    Great advice thank you! You’re a standout; as a reviewer I respect this appreciate it & want to applaud you for this!👍🏻💕💯😊. You actually continue to use what you purchase & purchase what you enjoy & “continue” to use. Thank you! This is what 1st drew me to your channel & I believe draws a bulk of us who don’t have or want Chanel’s but love our makeup and want to get good use out of our products/purchases. This buy everything to turn around and declutter because we’re holding on to 100’s of pallets?? Well.. I believe you understand & I won’t rant. ❤

      Yes I don't only want to focus on the newer products but also want to use what I love. It doesn't make sense to me otherwise.

    Great review Maaike 😊 as always !!
    Another big factor to make the price for ensley reign higher is that they have magnetic pans , which I personally really like because I can rearrange, choose shades to travel with or also mix and match 😉
    Lots of love ❤️

    Hi Maaike the palettes are really pretty and some really ethereal shades I like the look of, but being honest with myself I don’t like huge palettes (too cumbersome) and I love a satin or metallic rather than a very sparkly shade. My older eyes just look better with the less sparkly shades tbh. My lifestyle is more subtle makeup and I am absolutely fine with that. Really pretty palettes though and I am glad you liked them. Best wishes x

  • @averagekittypotato1543

    My favorite matte formula so far is Menagerie Cosmetics but the deeper shades stain my lids... I've never double primed but I'm gonna have to try that!!
    And I've been super tempted by Ensleigh Reign... I'm on a no buy though so not right now. Their palettes are just so pretty...

    OMG 300 palettes?! I have 100 and can barely keep up with them 😛 But, yes, the love of eyeshadows is a wonderful thing!
    I have 5 Ensley Reign palettes but Cold Moon is not a favorite. If you haven't gotten it yet, their Harvest Moon palette is FABULOUS!

    Commenting before I finish watching. I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the Ensley Reign palettes. So excited to watch this video! 😊

    @polakeys Před 23 dny

    Great commentaries and advise. I wait with excitememnt every month for your eyeshadow palette reviews. I have been eyeing the Cold Moon but I will not go for it. At this point I have a big single collection and buying such big palettes with many matte repeats just does not appeal me for the high price point. I wanted to get a Fantasy Cosmetica or an Adept palette during this year, but since I have a 100+ singles from Lethal, for me it makes more sense to get some new special shades and create new palettes with what I have. It is hard to resist though, when everyone is talking about this big indie palettes from Ensley and Blend Bunny. But those, just like you, are people that dedicate full or part of their lifes to review makeup. Now that you said that the Lands of Enchanment was worth 5 days of looks, I really realize there is no place for them in my collection, because I love my korean eyeshadows too and love to rotate, and also do not have the time to do intricate makeup looks everyday, only some 20 minutes if so. Thanks for the reviews and your down to earth opinions.

    There are some very pretty shades in the Ensley Reign palettes. Skipping till they come up with a colourstory that's more up my street. I would wish though, that they would stick to the same pan size so rearranging would be easier between the palettes.

    Thank you for the review! This one gave me an idea for the new indie brands video. Could you, please make a video of either ranking or top brands with the best sparkling shimmer formulas in palettes (not singles). Would be interesting how do you compare such brands as Ensley Reign, Glossgods, Fantasy Cosmetica, Adept, Unearthly, BellaBeautybar and others

      That's a bit too specific bit it is my intention to talk about my fave indie brands soon and about my favorite eyeshadow formulas in the future.

    I’ve purchased only 2 Morphe palettes that are big. Purchased during Covid for next to nothing during a sale. I’ve used one of them, once. And that was a light base for blending. Completely overwhelming and non-inspiring. The midi palettes seem to be the sweet creative spot for me.

    That's still a steal f the Ensley Reign 😅not really but... If you buy them on Etsy as UK customer you'll pay 115 £ or more once you put on shipping and taxes. Definitely not worth it no matter what. Not sure how much Monolith is to the UK, we should have taxes to pay there too.

    Hmmm. I've been tempted to try ER but given that a) they're private label, and b) they use AI artwork, I really don't understand where the price comes from. There are many better indie brands also making large palettes at better prices (Blend Bunny, Bella Beaute Bar, Cosmic Brushes...) and the fact that they're using AI art, which is essentially stolen art, made my decision not to buy.

    • @FloatinginDreams
      @FloatinginDreams  Před 28 dny +1

      They are white label not private label. Most brands don't own their own factories and buy formulas from manufacturers.

    • @natalia9259
      @natalia9259 Před 28 dny +2

      I'll play Ensley Reign's advocate here a bit 😅
      I'd say that the price tag for big BellaBeauteBar's palettes is quite the same as ER's Moon series (all are around 70$ on official websites), while ER has much more shimmers (which are more expensive to produce). Blend Bunny is cheaper than both of the previous brands, but again, usually, they have only 1 raw of shimmers and matts are always cheaper in production.
      As for AI-generated pictures, it's a controversial topic, but digital artist participation would raise self-cost of the palettes even more for sure. And, honestly, I have no clue if other indie brands exclusively invite artists to create their covers. Some of them might use AI as well, just it isn't so spoken because art is not necessarily that impressive.

    Ensley Reign was the first brand in a long time that I felt bamboozled by the hype from CZcams beauty bloggers. The shimmers are pretty… but lots of fallout and they fade so fast. The mattes were the most disappointing. They’re not pigmented. Not really buildable. And faded in half the time of any other brand. And for the 80 to almost 100 plus $15 shipping they charge, I was frankly annoyed. They’re worth it at maybe 70% or even half the price. But the present cost is insulting. I don’t totally mind big palettes and I don’t mind the cost. I will pay that for other brands. I stopped counting how many palettes I gave cuz I worry it’s edging into several hundred and I don’t want to admit that to myself yet. So I have a HUGE range of eyeshadows I’ve tried over the year. But the formula for ensley reign made the price preposterous in my opinion.
