"Prosperity gospel preacher Kenneth Copeland thanked Jesus for a dying man's seed offering of a Bentley with a Breitling clock, which he had given in the hope that it would bring healing.
At Kenneth Copeland Ministries' annual Southwest Believers' Convention in Fort Worth, Texas, held from July 29 to Aug. 3, the 87-year-old televangelist regaled attendees with stories about his passion for Breitling watches, of which he owns around 36 coveted timepieces."

Once you get them hooked, and with lots of social/group think reinforcement, it's near impossible to leave. That's what this is. I reckon if you saw the whole clip, or more of it for context, he's not bragging. He's demonstrating how jeebus favors believers, because believers are good people, and good things come to good people. Rich people must be really smart, and really good business people by default - how else did they get rich? If you follow the program, and give until it hurts, it could happen to you someday too. If not in this life, in the next one, for eternity, just you wait and see! Appeal to selfishness and greed. Works on most people. Trump University.
It's not terribly far off certain aspects of the primary buddhist religion where I live over in S.E. Asia. Be a good person and good things will happen to you. Give money to the monks at the temple is called "making merit". It's not making merit. It's buying merit. Same program, just in a different wrapper.
There's a minority knot of hopeful christian converts here, easy prey for pyramid scams in the hopes of pulling themselves up into the middle class selling jesus' Herbalife health drink powders. Remember Amway? Pretty much run out of the USA years ago, but there's a brick and mortar Amway store/office a few miles from my house here. Like christian missionaries, once the jig is up, they migrate to developing countries abroad for fresh, fertile hunting grounds for gullible, easy prey.
The Grift is alive and well. 🤑💰

The American version of Christianity is such a bastardization of the original faith. The same people who preach about Jesus in America on Sundays, are the same people who would call Jesus a socialist and crucify him again. I mean when you have JD Vance in his own book talking about how his grandmother worshiped two gods: Jesus Christ and America, you know these people have lost the message. America is not a God, the constitution is not a Holy Book, the flag is not the cross, and Capitalism and Greed are not virtues. These are the same people that Jesus spoke of when he said many will call him lord and he will turn them away and say "I never knew you". These people have no understanding of Jesus' teachings.
