BOOST! It's What's for DINNER!!
This is a Turbo kit by K&T Performance, it is a prototype kit for the 2020 Kawasaki Teryx KRX 1000 engine, very compact and will come with everything needed for the install including a tune. Estimated price stated in the video of $5,500-$6,000 for the kit, but they want to get it below $5,000 when 100% complete. Estimated to boost (pun intended) the HP to about 175 TO THE WHEELS, which is well over 200 to the crank! Kit expected to be ready by spring 2020. Contact them here: www.ktperforma... Tell them Hester's Motorsports sent ya!

Spring 2030, we finally came out with the turbo kit guys! 😆
Right? 😆
@@HesterEdition id say they decided to go a stock turbo or charger. We shall see Jan 26th. High hopes
@@TheVanguard43 Hoping!
Yeah man exactly why I'm trading my KRX for a Can Am...... it's unbelievable Kawasaki would not have a turbo for this yet
@@trevorbraden5448 covid shut down kawasaki plant for like 8 months keep that in mind. Id say we see a charged or turbo krx on the 26th.
That's crazy, I was thinking maybe 2500 or 3000 not 6k that's too much
considering the KRX 1000 is selling for almost 30K here in Canada, that's X3 Turbo RR territory. Absolutely ridiculous.
If I'm not mistaken....it takes 14.8 lbs of boost to double your engine perfotmance......so in my mind, 7 lbs should be about 150 at crank....
Yeah the company claimed a lot but never followed through I'm afraid.😔
i would rather wait a few years when they decide to put the turbo into the sxs instead of having to buy it separately
Don't hold your breath for either....... I'm trading mine for a Can Am I'm tired of waiting
It’s May 5th when will the turbo kit be ready? Will it ever be ready??
For that price might as well get a turbo utv stock
5500 to 6000 dollars. I can by a twin turbo for my mustang cheaper than that. There must be a lot more parts there than I’m seeing.
I would hope it would be less, but hopefully more places build them too and competition is great to bring prices down.
Just flat-out ridiculous the cost of these turbo add-ons for sxs
@@danpmatz till more people build them to compete to drive the prices doen, and people keep paying it is what it is. I don't make the price I only report it 👍. Makes me want to build my own kits and have some better priced ones out.
People will buy at this price and I feel it’s a tad bit inflated. However they’re choosing to recoup R&D and then overhead costs with mark-up vs volume.
They’ll sell a handful of kits per months and make a few Thousand profit once they hit their target ROI vs selling 50 kits per month, working their fingers till they bleed for the same profit at, lets say $3850.
Their pricing structure is sustainable as long as they don’t have competition undercutting them with the same quality product(s).
Welcome to niche markets.
Remember, it’s only “Over Priced” if no one buys them. The consumer sets the price of a product with their demand and sales. 👊🤙
They’re trying to recoup their R&D real fast!
Latest widget for the big pissin match!
By the time it comes out from factory , can am will bring out something new
By the sound of it K&T has hardly any knowledge of the KRX. Definitely doesn't make me want to be a guinea pig and buy one their turbos.
It is still in prototype phase, the kit won't be ready till the first of the year and the price was a guestimate. I talked to them and they really want to get it done for under 5k. This set up was based off the rzr 1000 kit they make and retro fitted to the krx engine, but it IS in the works. Just everything is so new and all they had was a pre-pro engine and dimensions to mock it for the show. Give them till the spring to have it down pat with flash and all.
@@HesterEdition Being Kawasaki is the underdog I wish they would of came out swinging with a accessory turbo kit from the get go IMO.
I wish they came out swinging with class exclusive supercharger. But I amd very happy with its power TBO. Some of these uber powerful rigs are getting out of hand.
6k and has taken them over a year to make this. Not to mention labor to install it.
if you wanted a turbo you might as well trade it in and get a can am x3 turbo. Not even a vehicle turbo system is that much, crazy.
If my math is correct, and I believe it is, that is too much.
I still do not see this for sale by K&T...When is the release date?
It never happened, they never came through with it, very disappointing :(. But we do a good deal of the Kraftwerks Supercharger on the KRX's, that's the perfect way to go on a SXS, no lag! just torque right off idle! Check out our KRX playlist, you will see lots of info on those set ups!
Wont be changing a belt on the trail with that set up.
Any plans for making a kit for the 2018 Teryx4? That's the one that need more power not the new KRX.
Do it! would be epic!
When will we see those videos on the krx
is It Out ? Ive got a KRX 1000 4 seater.. We gonna Need More powerrrr.
Contact K&T I'm sure they can get you set uo. Love to see the KRX4 with it on it!
@@HesterEdition I sent them a Message. It one heck of a Machine.. just everything always needs more power
He got all quiet when he said 5500 to 6000 dollar range lol, you might as well buy a Polaris RZR 1000 Turbo S with Dynamix, harness's, etc.
Yes I hoped for less. But don't we all? One benefit of this system it it does produce ALOT more HP then the rzrs. This is about 220ish to the crank and say a rzr pro is 181 to the crank. But ya gotta pay to play BIG lol. HP is an expensive drug haha
Yea you do gotta pay to play but they would sell way more units and kits if the prices were lower. Nothing has climbed in price like side by sides over the past 10 years. My turbo rzr cost less than this new. Dont know how a n/a unit can cost 2k more than a turbo unit and 7k more with a turbo kit you have you put on your self. Same applies for the talon. The units should be cheaper. To hang with sales. I absolutely love honda and kawasaki but they are gonna loose out because of the prices.
@@anythingfastimdown quality... You gotta pay for it. Crawl under a krx then crawl under a rzr... Huge difference in quality components.
@@mobius012 true...I dont think peoplenotice the quality and upgrades that come stock on the krx.
A 195 hp canam base model is 22000 or so here let's see I buy 21000 klx add 7000 or so for turbo 28000 or so the top of the line canam is that from the factory
We sure hope to see a factory boosted model soon. It's still new.
..the can am is crank hp not wheel hp... But yes.. that's still a lot of $$$
ils parle sur des forum que une foix instaler sa sera autour de 10 000$ sibole definitivement tout coute chere chez kawi
Alll talk... where is it?
So??? Any updates?
Still waiting
So you're nearly doubling power with less than 50% increase in air density? What's next, a perpetual motion machine?
I hear ya! This company never even brought this turbo to market. Best one out is the Kraftworks Supercharger! BEAST!
I just bought a krx yesterday when can I buy this ! #takemymoney #wisewisdompeople
Title: OVER 200HP!!!!
0:15 in “we are hoping to hit about 170-175 horses”
So the prototype hasn’t even been tested yet and you click baiting us with theoretical crank hp numbers...and it’s gonna cost $6k??? Okay guys 👎🏻
170-175 "at the wheel" then right after they state which is well over 200 at the crank. Hope that clears it up.
@@HesterEdition I understand that. It’s just funny that you say 200 in the title, not mentioning that it’s at the crank, and then only 15 seconds in you mention the number at the wheels. Is this kit for sale yet?
@@johnschauder all manufacturers rate HP at the crank, so pretty accurate based on the information given by the builders. 👍
@@HesterEdition yes it’s accurate, it’s just funny. Is this kit available yet?
@@johnschauder if you contact the manufacturer K&T Performance they can give you total details and availability. 👍
Do we know when these will be available yet?
From my last conversation with them, they should be getting ready to come out sometime soon before spring.
@@HesterEdition It's now summer. Any update?
Way to much for a turbo kit and why would you put the inner cooler pipe in front of the clutch more work when you need to change the belt on the trail.
???? Update please!!!!
Just buy a canam
I currently own two X3's.
No shit! $5500 to $6000 and you have to install it yourself or pay someone to install?
That puts it in X3 RR territory and that’s no X3.
That’s a hard pass for me
I’d rather the KRX, honestly. All depends on the type of riding you do.
