I grew up in Georgia, always loved the mountains and eventually moved out to Colorado to live in the mountains in 2009. Had to move back in 2018 because Colorado is outrageous on the cost of living. I still want to move back to the mountains but this time I'm focusing on the Beech Mountain area. Another reason why I want to move there is it's a lot cooler at that elevation than where im at now. When my side business takes off later this year Im going to start looking for a place up there to live.

How's the Internet? Thinking about moving there as a work from home guy
@brucetidwell4068 I split time spending two weeks each month on Beech and the other two weeks in SWFL. I work from home when on Beech. There are two main providers for high speed internet, Spectrum and Skybest. Both are generally reliable. Where you live on the mountain can play a larger role with the reliability of both internet and power. I’m happy to hop on a brief call and answer some questions for you if you are looking to purchase a home in the area. Beech is a great place and offers a lot. Happy to talk through it if you’d like.

Thanks! I'm on Beech now as we're having some work done on the basement of our condo. It's amazing and already a welcome break from the heat and humidity in SWFL. There is a lot planned for the Memorial Day weekend. I'm looking forward to the food trucks in Banner Elk and was planning on hitting up the 5506' sky bar but they delayed opening till early June due to heavy rains a few weeks back. There's always something to do here 😊
@@guillettegroupinthenorthca8436 yeah i saw videos of the flooding, yikes! Good luck with the basement, usually make it up for a few concerts and some disc golf during the summer but winter at least a few times a week. Come see me at 1st tracks ski shop this winter if you need any winter gear!
