  • In this video I show you how my mini maglite got destroyed by leaving the batteries in it for too long without checking them.

You ha e to drill the batteries out. Did this the other day. Use a drill bit smaller than the tube of the flashlight. Messy but effective.

Too bad - and I ended up here because I'm looking for a replacement switch contact for one of my 2AA Mini Maglight's, but that was one of the parts destroyed when you attempted to push the batteries out of the tube! At least I wasn't the person that lost mine, someone else at my former work - but I see Maglight wants about half the cost of a brand new light for just the switch, guess I'll be attempting to make a new contact myself.....;)

Yea and if its not LED I would look into getting a new light altogether.
      The leds are much brighter.

@@FixItYourself I'm doing that, contacted Maglight to see if they sold parts to do so - no, only will take my old light as a trade in against a slight discount on a new LED light! No thanks, guess the aftermarket gets my money - 2 lights converted so far, and very happy with them.

Same thing happened to me. Cut mine open with a Dremel cutter.

You could have sent it to the manufacturer for replacement under warranty. I did.
