I love everything about it, the shape, the fit, the neckline, the length is perfect to flatter the legs, the sleeves are that perfect elbow length, and most of all, it has pockets!!! Perfect ❤️. A very versatile dress, as you demonstrated with your styling. Timeless, chic and elegant. I must congratulate you on your choice of cardigan too, because I have an identical one, but mine was from Gap several years ago 😂, I feel very pleased with myself for having a similar navy merino wool cardigan in my wardrobe!!! It is also so refreshing to see a "haul" which consists of 2 items, both of which I'm sure you will keep and enjoy wearing many times, rather than 20 items of which almost all will be returned!!! I love to receive nicely packaged clothes . One Canadian designer I often buy from always ships his creations on a hanger which eliminates most of the wrinkles of flat packing . This enhances the initial view of the garment also . Your new dress will be a real workhorse in your wardrobe - so versatile ! The classic cardigan in navy - one of my favourite colours - will see a lot of wear I'm sure .

I love this dress!!! I had a beautiful virgin wool one very similar to this and always felt like a million bucks in it. I often wore pearls with mine and high navy pumps.

Hi Marie-Anne! I love that neutral shoe look with dresses. I have an almost identical dress in black to the one you are wearing - LOVE THIS LOOK!And I wear mine with my neutral patent leather pumps. I switch up my scarves and my pearl necklaces to get different looks. I also have a pale green jade choker that is lovely too. You look amazing and this is my favourite dress style of all time. 😘

Very good video - full of ideas but one great feature of that beautiful , classic dress is the pockets . I think pockets are a “must “ for helping one stand and move with a bit of attitude and chic body - language.

Hi Marie-Anne, I just love the jersey dress and cardigan. I've worn so much black in the past, it's time to change my classic color to Navy blue, since it also goes with everything, especially in summer. My favorite look is the jersey dress, paired with. red accessories. I especially love the red Mary Janes with the strap. I think I'm probably in a warmer climate than you are. I'm not sure about wearing closed-toed shoes all summer, but I actually prefer them. I'll be sending information soon, for my consultation. Thank you for sharing these great looks. It gives me some great ideas.

Loved this. The dress reminded me of my two favorite dresses. One was navy blue that I had when I was in high school (late 60s/early 70s) and the other was black with a long cardigan. I loved I could style these so many ways. They were classics!

I especially liked the dress with the snake heels and trenchcoat. I thought it was so cute with the white collar too. I enjoyed seeing how versatile the navy dress is. The dress with the brown wedge shoes was my favorite look. Even when you had just the dress and shoes, the difference between heels and casual shoes was striking. It's easy to forget how much a basic piece like that adds to a wardrobe. I like to think of simple pieces as a "canvas" that you can decorate in different ways.

What a lovely video! I have a Tommy Hilfiger dress that I bought a year ago. It is navy blue with flutter sleeves, a very similar cut to yours. I immediately pulled it out and made five outfits. It looked lovely alone but with a narrow belt added as you did. I also paired it with a lovely wool blazer from Liz Claiborne that I have had for 20 years! I put it away for a while when it wasn’t being used because it was such a lovely blazer and I pulled it out a year ago. I also combined the dress with a red cropped cardigan I recently got on sale from Ann Taylor. I happen to have a matching belt, in leather, a thrift store find. Then I tried it with a lovely soft green cashmere pullover sweater that I purchased from eBay and an animal print belt that I tailored down to be my size. I tend to have champagne taste but a beer budget, so I have been working on getting some quality pieces at ridiculous prices from unexpected sources. Your channel has been a source of constant inspiration, but today was incredible. I forgot to mention that years ago I had bought a navy gingham shirt for spring which in a million years I would not have thought of pairing with this dress. I also have a couple of silk scarves which would look beautiful paired with the dress. Thank you!!!

With the navy dress, it's so ez to shop your closet. The dress is great because it's machine washable and is a great length. This makes it a great investment. Of course, I prefer red/pink colors in blouses and shoes. You can even wear a blazer in place of a cardigan. The white collar is adorable giving one a collegiate student look.
I love what you bought. I am buying a new wardrobe because of weight loss and I just bought a navy dress that was similar but I didn't think about the sleeves. It's a good day, I learned something!!! Thank you!!

I went to a mall in Southern California, asked the Nordstrom store stylist to help me find a dress with sleeves that came to my knee, after 2 hours she told me it was impossible. I love both pieces. The navy dress is an elegant classic piece. The perfect length and 3/4 sleeves. I have a difficult time finding 3/4 sleeves.Your pearl bracelet is a beautiful accent. Love the blue 3 color shoes too. I have been wondering how you are styling your snake print shoes. Navy is a beautiful neutral especially for summer as it is softer and a little lighter color than black. I always carry a sweater for the air conditioning in restaurants and stores. I too love elegant packaging. It feels as if you are receiving a lovely gift. The gift of lily of the valley is a very sweet gesture! This is the first I have heard of the tradition.
Amazing navy blue dress it so classy and chic I love the loafer high heels those are some gorgeous shoes and it's got to be the shoes. Lovely little package. A thin wool or fine cotton cardigan is one of my favorite items to receive. You can be sure it will fit and suit. As for the dress, it looks great on you and makes me jealous. I cannot wear such a thing because of my body shape that is 2 sizes smaller on top than on bottom and I would just look atrocious in a straight dress

I love Lily of the Valley. It is my birth month flower and the smell is divine. I do enjoy presentation with parcels. I love black but tend to go for more navy blue as I am blond and think navy blue is softer. Would you wear navy blue with black? I have at times worn black trousers with a navy blue top but not sure if I like it together. Also I just love cardigans. Love your videos.

I loved hearing about the bouquet de muguet custom. Such a beautiful tradition. I remember wearing the fragrance Muguet des Bois when I was a teenager. Also really enjoyed seeing your lovely new dress and cardigan, and the many ways you styled them. I would love to order from LK Bennett but not sure about fit and returns to the UK are very expensive from Canada.

Slnce we don't have muguet here (not even in cologne or toilet water form) a few of my French friends sent me some lovely pictures as they know it is one of my favorite flowers. Loved this video and you made two really beautiful and versatile choices.

P.S. I checked out the store LK Bennet. Beautiful dresses. I have seen the label periodically in thrift stores. When I am back at work, I may purchase one of the silk dresses. The different combinations are heavenly it was so hard to choose a favorite. But you know, those red shoes caught all my attention and the outfit with your raincoat just makes me think of my beloved Paris.
However there was one accessory that called all my attention and made me fall in love with; that pearls bracelet. Mon Dieu!
I always wear navy blue with beige and brown (specially in shoes and belt) but also with clothes in white, light gray and cream.
