BIG SPANISH MACKEREL CHAOS!! on hard body lures (Gold Coast)

- On this episode im fishing for Spanish Mackerel using deep diving hard body lures. i started this session on the inclose reefs of the gold coast before moving away from the crowd to the 24 fathom reefs where all the chaos happened. i used three different lures that all dived to differnt depths and colours. i used Samaki pacemakers, Rapala x-raps and Strada deep divers.

Good job mate, I’ve been catching few in that area lately.
You need to keep the boat going forward all the time till all rods are cleared, even by yourself Timmy. I have had to clear 3 rods and teasers by myself till I picked up the rod with the fish on.
I agree Jeff but when a solid fish takes your smallest rod with the least amount of line things get interesting 😂 we will have to go for a session soon

Hey man are the pacemakers that you used in this video 14cm or 18cm and are they the double deep or just deep
Gday Liam, it was the 14cm deep diver. They are sitting very deep atm so I would be running strada lures from Doug Burt’s tackle world. They are weapons

What size is your main line? Mono or braid?
Gday mate, I run 50 pound braid onto 60 pound mono as a leader. You get more bites that way

I ran the deep diver as shot gun, was great to bring them up as they were sitting deep
mate where's your life jacket ,things can go very bad very quick if you have a mishap ,and watching your boat power away on troll with you in the water would be terrifying ,also long kill switch cord attached to self. yes its a pain but it might save your life one day.
My wife agrees with all your very valid points. No more solo session for me
