  • Camaro start and revving. The fribrasion/rattling is the catalytic convert not the muffler.

    That sounded really nice! Love that wolf 🐺 growl from a V6 exhaust. GM’s 3.8 L Series 1 and II engines were great from all aspects. Thanks for sharing and I hope everyone has a great weekend ✌️

      James Hott 98! It's not bad for a 19 year old car lol 80k miles and very little rust, which is a biggie in NEPA. And yea, it beats his rusted out Subaru. I'll miss the camaro though. It was nice seeing people-oriented around for it even though it was only a V6

  • @YamarDrums
    @YamarDrums Před 6 lety +2

    Did you need any special clamps, reducer on anything else to put it on ? I'm looking to do exactly this on my 98 V6 3.8. I love the sound ! I think the part # is either 42583 or 842583, right ?

    • @jameshott9484
      @jameshott9484  Před 6 lety +1

      Yannick Marcoux I had my dad machine a 1/4 inch spacer with a thin piece of metal off the back spacer. So after that all I had to do is slide everything on and use regular exhaust clamps. If you have a welder you can just use a spacer without the thin metal off the back. For the two pipes out the back I just bought to 90 elbows and and two straight pieces to go out the back but I believe you can get a 90 thats longer on one side that'll work. And thanks man! I'll have to check for the part number when I get home.

    • @jameshott9484
      @jameshott9484  Před 6 lety +2

      Yannick Marcoux 42583 and 842583 are the same mufler pretty much just 842583 is stainless and 1/4 inch less width than 42583 and 42583 is aluminized steel but any way mine is 42583

    • @YamarDrums
      @YamarDrums Před 6 lety +1

      I see ! Thanks a lot ! I was thinking of using the Z28 tail pipes with 2.25 to 2.5 adapters but I will try to find 1/4 inch spacer like you have (if it exists). If not, then adapters is goes I guess ! Thanks again !

    • @jameshott9484
      @jameshott9484  Před 6 lety +1

      Jampee Saenthongkham just the muffler on stock exhaust. You'll want to get the mufler part number 42583 or 842583 one's stanless the other is steal. Two 90 elbows and two pipes to go out the back 5 or 6 exhuast clamps and you'll need to make a quarter inch spacer or find a v6 to Z28 pipe. I just had my dad make a spacer for the mufler.
