THANKS SO MUCH FOR WATCHING! - Jak na to + styl
I gotta say Adorama knocks it out of the park with these videos!
So happy to hear that! :)
I love the way Emily Teague takes pictures
I love reading that- thank you!!
This channel definitely needs more videos/tutorials by Emily Teague. Also great choice of model, she’s beautiful and very photogenic.
Thank you so much Enrique!! Having Masumi as a model definitely helps ;)
I agree with you, she is very beautiful. I really love her eyes.
I like Emily. Clean and simple but beautiful results.
Thank you Robbie. I really love your work too
@@EmilyTeague We should start a fan club! lol! Seriously though, thank you for the kind words. It really means a lot to me.
Yay, Emily! Great work as usual.
Thanks Mark! Makes me smile to hear that from you
another great video... my favorite shots are those with lights reflected off her hair and shoulder with back lighting!
That's great to hear, thanks! :)
I love how Emily really explains things she preferred more and less when constructively criticising her stills. In a way, it widens my eyes to see areas in which I can improve and venture...
Thnk you Emily!
Awe I love hearing that, thank you!
So many photo videos only show us the retouched images. Really appreciate Emily Teague showing us the unretouched images to compare and to really see the quality of the light in each set up.
I appreciate hearing that. Thanks Nina!! :)
Love the simplicity of the lighting, yet beautiful results. Having a beautiful model helps too.
Definitely doesnt hurt having a gorgeous model on set ;)
Having a 600€ strobe, too.
Having a single colour makes things to look more beautiful.
I really like monochromatic scenes :)
Beauty in subtleness. It's close to having black and white where we eliminate the colours.
Can you please do a black and white session ?
Keeping it simple and beautiful - great refresher to see. A great setup for any onsite shoot away from studio also.
Thanks Frank!! :)
Ahhh 👏👏👏👏👏 amazing job Em & team! Such a beautiful concise breakdown of easy ways to get beautiful light without spending a lot on equipment! 🤍🤍🤍
Have I mentioned you are the sweetest and best?
We need more Emily!
I love hearing that ^_^
Great stuff, Emily - I really enjoy seeing you work through your process. Masumi's face is amazing and your pictures of her are beautiful!
Thank you so much, Alun! :D
Love it the simplicity is wonderful. Great for portrait photography too!
Thank you so much!!
This was thee best photography in depth video I have ever seen!! Thank you Emily 🙏🏾
Outstanding! Organized and paced perfectly!
This video is exceedingly helpful. Love the tutorial. And, the model...OMG...she should be an actress. She exudes mystique and a playful smile that's awesome. My goodness! Thank you both for this video.
This is one of my favorite one light portrait settings video. Very helpful! Thank you!
Great demo! I loved the light coming from behind her shoulder and bouncing into the v-flat.
Thank you so much Jill! :)
Excellent job! There is beauty in simplicity!
I thoroughly enjoyed your style of teaching and the techniques you shared.
Thank you.
Amazing job. What a great a talent. The one with lighting from the side and make a good reflection on the model shoulder and hair is my favourite. Even without any editing process, the raw photo is absolutely georgeous.
Great, what a good teacher. Thank you!
Very helpful, thanks Emily and Adorama. I'm just now getting into off-camera strobe. One light, one umbrella. Today I experimented with my Speedlight on a stand with the bounce diffuser. Talk about shoe-string budget lighting! It worked great, and the techniques you show are inspiring.
Wonderful!
I really appreciate not only the way you have explained the setup but also the way each affect the catch light/lights in the eyes.
IHG
Tommy
Thank you for including the settings. Great commentary.
this has been extremely insightful. i'll surely try this out when i get my studio setup
So easy to understand when you teach! Thank you!
I love hearing that. Thank you!!!
Peace be with you. Excellent video. Being new to portrait photography, this is a necessary teaching. Thanks.
Thank you so much Emily for the very informative tutorial!
One light setup. Nice
:)
Fantastic!!!
Thanks Allison!
This was fantastic. Gotta save this video. I learned a lot. Thanks.
Thanks so much C.J.!
Great! So helpful! Always love your videos! Everything is so neat in your studio! Thanks for sharing!
I really appreciate hearing that. Thanks John!
That back light one with the bounce was nice!
Thank you!! :)
I actually enjoyed listening to this video. Thanks adorama you’ve gained a customer
Thank you Ricardo! :)
Love your videos and your photographic style. We need to see more of you on Adorama!
That makes me smile to read. Thank you Darryl! :)
A very simple and clear demonstration of how to do things with just one light source. One minor thing that could be better in the video: When comparing shots, rather than switching the images back and forth, put them next to each other. That makes the difference a little more obvious for the viewer.
Good call! Thanks :)
This video is really good. The first two videos I watched explained umbrellas, but didn’t show them in action. I liked this one
I'm happy to hear that! :)
Just love it amazing....
Hello Emily, I'm new to photography but watching this video I've learned so much the shots were amazing. Thank you looking forward to more videos
That makes me really happy to hear, thanks!! :)
Great job! Actually all you need to know for creating beautiful pictures with just one umbrella. Thanks!
Thank you! :)
Beautiful and helpful as always.
Thank you.
Thanks!! :)
Amazing video i love the way you explain every single little detail in your setups , easy to learn from and so inspiring to thank you Emily :-)
I'm so happy to hear that. Thank you!!
Great video with lots of tips, thanks!
Thanks Robert! :D
Super work Emily.
Thank you Eddy!! ^_^
Love the video on lighting very helpful!! and you look Absolutely BEAUTIFUL shooting it ❤️
Thanks Wayne!!
I LOVE EMILY!!!!
There's a massive smile on my face!! ^_^
@@EmilyTeague Em you already know!!
Really liked the video, got the strobes out right after I finished watching
That makes me happy to hear! :)
Hi Emily great instruction . Thank you!
Thank you so much!
For those wondering the shutter speed is 1/160th not 1/60th. That stop and 1/3rd difference would start to bring in the window and video lights. Also noticed the ISO is 125 not 100.
Many cogs moving on a shoot with a video team but these things may make folk wonder. If the shoot was done all at ISO 125 then that 1 stop and 1/3rd becomes 1 stop difference in terms of the quoted shutter speed in the video.
Hey Richard! Thanks for catching that :)
@@EmilyTeague No worries. Thanks again for the videos Emily.
That's great. Adorama you encourage women photographers by brining them to this channel. Great initiative. We already have Lindsey, Vanessa and now Emily. Would like to see Dixie Dixon, Lara Jade and many more.
❤️❤️❤️
I find most of Adorama videos very helpful to learn studio techniques, but what I really would appreciate is a lower volume of the music in between. I mean, I turn up the volume to listen what is being said and then when the music comes on it goes up like “Iron Maiden live in Toronto!” for which normally I’d be over the moon, but not when I’m watching an educating video. Everything else is peerless so thank you ever so much for the great inputs
Hahaha that's an excellent visual though! But really, good to know. We'll take note of that next time :)
Loved watching it, thanks for your work.
Thank you!! :)
So glad I came across this video! Definitely want to try some of these lighting techniques. Thanks so much!
Happy to hear that! Thank you!! :)
Emily, you are amazing! Thank you so much. :-)
There's a lot of green in the studio. Love the setup!!!
I'm trying to make this Brooklyn apartment into a jungle ;)
Great work. I love the comparisons to show the different scenarios.
Thank you!! :)
This is the first time I’ve watched one of your videos. It’s excellent and I look forward to more!
Thank you so much Craig! :)
Fantastic! by far the best lighting video I've seen for my needs this was so simple to follow yet informative.
I'm so glad, thank you!! :)
Such an excellent tutorial. You made it simple, love the photos.
I'm happy to hear that, thank you!!
This is super helpful!!!! I have a few off camera flash clients coming up... just ordered a 60in umbrella ☂
Thank you for the video Emily & team.
I have neve been a fan of the client or model holding the reflector as it can distract them and change how the shoulders sit. Much better to use a stand & reflector arm for £20-30 ... yes they will be garbage but they will get it done.
I like your clean, simple and bold style. So much work shown today is over lit or processed. Also just picked up a similar colour background and can't wait to try it once the UK lockdown allows.
Good stuff
Emily! Great Work! Yeah!
Awesome video, thanks for the tips
Thank you Brandon!
Great video! Your teaching style is direct and very helpful.
Happy to hear that Richard! Thanks!
Really great instruction and process overall. Easy and fun to watch. Thank you
Thank you Taylor :)
Learned so much more new things, well done
Loved it
Appreciate it, thank you!!
EXCELLENT video
Thank you Nenad!!! :)
Somebody else, in the comments below, has used the word 'concise' to describe your video and the way you describe the set-ups. I totally agree with this and your demonstration set-ups and the resulting images made everything clear and unambiguous. So, thank you. I take it that much of this can be applied to using a beauty dish, although I realise that there will be some differences in the quality of light.
Thank you Ray! I appreciate hearing that!
Love it!
Thank you!!
Very beautiful video + photos 👍👍
Thank you so much!
This is was a really good video!!! Thank you explaining what you were doing in the manner that you did.
Really happy to hear you liked it! ^_^
