- Minecraft is a massive game with so many different ways to play, and that's shown very well in minecraft java’s five gamemodes: Survival, Creative, Adventure, Spectator, and Hardcore. Each of these provide a lot of content of their own to enjoy, and that includes creative mode. While creative does have a lot of features that would be too powerful for survival like command blocks, there are actually a surprising amount of secret features exclusive to creative that should be in survival. This includes exclusive mobs like the illusioner and zombie horse and other features like exclusive paintings, potions, and easter eggs! So today I thought it would be fun to go over Minecraft’s creative mode secret features and my update ideas on how I think they should be added to survival. Who knows, maybe one of these will get added for the upcoming 1.21 Trial Chamber update!

The elder guardian ghost is used for the Mining Fatigue animation. It was added later because there originally was no animation.
But why is it an entity? Can’t it just be an animation like in java?
What is weirder about the illusioner is that in a snapshot not long ago they changed 2 pixels in the texture that were wrong even though the mob isn't used

They even gave it a makeover for Minecraft Dungeons. I think that they want to add it to survival unlike the Indev Giant and Killer Bunny, but they just do not know how to balance it.
I've always thought that Zombie Horses would be fun to be added to Zombie Sieges, you know when a massive group of Zombies spawn at a Village, perhaps there could be an armored Zombie leading the group riding a Zombie Horse

Fun fact they already exist, they can happen at night, and spawn ton of zombies near the village, and unfortunately they do not include zombie horses
The thing I want most is being able to place items on the heads, like how an ender rod makes a horn, a lighting rod looks like a snorkel, or glass looks like a helmet. It'd be neat

I think the Potion of Luck should be implemented by having it being brewed with a rabbit's foot, and making them drop it way more rarely to emphasize the luck aspect. Then make potions of leaping obtainable by making frogs drop frog legs

i think the best time and place for the illusioner to be added is right now, make them a room in the trial chambers
Honestly, potions of luck would be a cool addition to survival. They could change the leaping potion recipe, and make the rabbit’s foot the luck potion ingredient.
That would make a lot of sense considering how rabbits foot are usually seen as a sign of good luck
At one point you could get luck tipped arrows from fletchers

For the zombie horse, it would be cool if there was an event like the skeleton horse where zombies spawn in riding a zombie horse
Maybe there could be a blood moon that spawns them. Or maybe they can spawn in the trial chambers.

@@kacperkonieczny7333that’s what i was thinking. Ever since they added illager raids the zombie ones have felt so boring and bare bones in comparison. Just adding a few zombies riding zombie horses so that they would be faster would be really cool

I think the most metal way to finally add zombie horses would be to make a very rare (Ice Spikes rare) biome called something like “Blighted Lands” that has dead trees and grass, spawns undead enemies during the day and has zombie horses instead of regular ones. Also the skybox should be sickly green or dirty red.

I feel like the Illusioner could be spawned in the trial chambers, having a special room designed around it, like how the Breeze has a room that takes advantage of its mechanics
The elemental paintings are also obtainable with the give command and from the operator utilities tab (which has to be enabled first)
The Elder Guardian Ghost is already used in Survival. It is only used to display the Animation that plays when you get cursed by an Elder Guardian. In Bedrock Edition it got revamped to show an actual 3D Model even in 3rd Person which is why that Thing exists

i would implement them so that Zombies can attack horses and have a chance to become zombified (just like Zombie Villegers)
this could make horses even more useless though so maybe thats why they didn't do it, but doing it this way could also make it so horses are more common

I love the atention to detail. Like, when you where talking about the armor stands, the ARMS main theme was playing, and when you where talking about paintings, it was the Mario Paint one.

In a random 1.14 snapshot, the Giant actually had AI built into it after 4 years of having no AI. It was essential a much more powerful, much faster zombie. And by powerful, i mean it two shots in full prot 4 diamond armor. They even went as far as to give it a baby variant, and make it infect villagers. But then only 2 snapshots later, all of those changes got removed.
I wonder if that Giant could contend with The Warden or "balanced" modded entities like the Dragons from Ice and Fire, or any of the mobs from Orespawn or Scape and Run: Parasites.
I think they're planning on using the elemental paintings for something. Maybe they're leaning into elemental stuff now to build up to a new boss?
I thought that they were modded at first. Since I have only ever seen them in the Lich Tower from Twilight Forest.

the elemental paintings are practically ancient, but only recently became usable, theyre nearly as old as paintings as a whole are so if they were to tease anything it's pulled a Tuning Fork and left when Notch did
Make the rabbits foot give luck and add in springbeans for leaping - adds a new plant for sniffers and a new food source.

cool video. idk how many of these are really "secret", aside from maybe the skeleton and zombie horse. i think anyone following minecraft for the past 10 years would know most of these things already, and they have pretty significant recognition within the community.

I actually never heard of the elder guardian gost, it’s been a long time since Minecraft facts actually taught me something new. But I will say I do use the furnace minecart for transporting villagers.
what if, with your luck potion idea, you could fish for treasure anywhere, even in small amounts of water? so you could do the old AFK fishing strategy as long as you had the effect active. that would be huge

Edit 2: you can get the secret paintings in creative inventory if you enable operator items tab in controls
Edit 3: there's a gamerule which makes you only be able to craft if you have the recipe, which is where the knowledge book is useful

I think a really cool use for the knowledge books could be unlocking new recipes, where you'd find them in a structure and using them would unlock a new recipe to craft and putting it in the recipe book. These items would be quite difficult to craft and can only be crafted after using the recipe book, so smart players can't skip getting the book, making it actually sought after.
Fun fact: the illusioner is in Minecraft Dungeons (but with a different design and modified mechanics) as a fully implemented mini boss
Makes me wonder even more why it's not in main Minecraft's survival
They probably find it difficult to balance for the base game. I installed a mod that adds it to raids, and it is fairly annoying to fight while also being attacked by an Evoker or Pillager that I cannot see. It is not too difficult to defeat, but it is very annoying.
Funnier idea for the killer bunny make it a secret joke boss and make it drop the holy hand grande witch should just by throwable tnt that works after 3 seconds no more no less

The Giant was originally intended to be a boss, but wasn't fully removed because Notch liked it too much. I think that it would be cool to see it return as a miniboss, just like the Illusioner, in a different structure, possibly underground or something like that, with yet another rare drop, some abilities, and AI of course.
For Zombie Horses, I think zombies should have a low chance of spawning on one, and being able to ride it. This gives an added challenge and functionality.

Spawn eggs would be cool collectibles. They are meant for creative but it would still be super cool in survival… or adventure if you’re insane.

Hardcore mode is not really a game mode. It’s just a setting.
When you die, you go into spectator.
You can, with NBT Explorer, have a hardcore creative mode world. When you die, you can even revive your hardcore world with NBT explorer.

There’s a data pack on vanilla tweaks that adds armor stand functionality like arms and poses and stuff in the form of a book, which is really fun to play around with and would be a cool addition to vanilla
If they add a luck potion i would make it a new plant called you guessed it, the clover, but 1/1000 of them would be 4 leaf and brewing those would give u a luck potion
I actually do kinda want command blocks in survival. Just a block created of nine different materials in the most difficult late game areas as a reward for essentially conquering the game.

Perhaps instead of getting the luck effect by brewing a potion, holding a rabbits foot in your off hand could give it to you? Or maybe you could craft an item that’s like a “good luck charm” out of a chain, a copper ingot, and a rabbits foot and holding that would give the effect

Server I used to play had it set so players always dropped thier head on death so the player that killed them would have a sort of trophy wall displaying their pvp wins. It wouldn’t be hard to add

An idea for the spawner minecart is to have it in the trial Chambers on custom rails that can't be changed or interacted with like normal rails
the illusioner and giant could be cool as "bosses" in the trail chambers
Here is my takes on the mobs:
Killer Bunny can be made when bunny is stroke by a lightning(it won't attack player in peaceful mode, but still kill wolfes
Giant would be cool to spawn as an exteremely rare mob during village attacks(when zombies do massive attack on villagers) or when zombie leader summons Back Up
Also make it unable to spawn in caves or near player
Give it cool loot too, because it's intended to be slain
Zombie horse i agree with your take, just add on a detail that makes it more different then regular horse(like make it regenerate or something)
Illusionist i think that he can be summoned if player enters a specific room in a woodland mansion with Hero of the Village effect, other pillagers don't visit the room during this
don't forget the petrified oak slab
IMO it should be expanded into a mechanic where wood can be fireproofed by smithing it with quartz

my idea for implementing zombie horses is to have some zombies ride them in the zombie hordes that can rarely spawn at night at villages
Technically you can bring these features to Survival mode by enabling cheats
I would make the killer bunny spawn in abadoned villages along with zombie horses
Since they spawn in deserts and flower fields maybe have it be a 1/150 chance (on hard mode) to spawn in place of normal ones
I had an idea for the Giant to be added as a rare overworld boss. The End has the Dragon and the Nether has the Wither. Yet, the overworld does not have any proper boss. There are many mini bosses like The Elder Guardian, Evoker, and Ravager, but no proper boss. The Warden does not count as a boss.
My idea is that Giants can very rarely (Similar chance to a Woodland Mansion) be found in open biomes like Plains, Savannahs, Deserts, and Snow Plains similar to the Frostmaw from Mowzie's Mobs. I chose these biomes instead of a structure to allow the AI to path find easier. It sleeps during the day like Foxes but will wake up at night. It can however be woken up during the day if the player, Wandering Trader, Villager, or Golem walks too close to it, if the player makes too much noise, or if it is attacked.
The Giant will employ three methods of attack when in battle, their standard melee attack of crushing their target which they have used since Indev, causing shockwaves by stomping the ground or by jumping up in down in place, and throwing a Mossy Cobblestone Boulder or Tree as a projectile in order to prevent the player from cheesing them by building up or sniping them from a long distance with a Bow. However, they will not do any damage to the environment for their ranged attack, because a mob being overly destructive goes against the design principles of Minecraft.
Upon death, they will drop large quantities of Rotten Meat, Ore blocks that vary between Emerald, Iron, and Gold, and a new weapon, the Titan's Fist. The Titan's fist is the arm of the Giant that is essentially a Diamond Sword with Sharpness III, Knockback II, and Sweeping Edge II + Strength I. The player can even cause shockwaves by slamming the ground with the fist just like the Giant. However, the player must give up their offhand slot to use the weapon due to its size, the durability is fairly low, but not as low as Gold or Wood tier tools, and it cannot be enchanted. So, it is really more of a pinch weapon to get rid of large groups of mobs in a quick amount of time.

I think making a few things which you could only craft if you found the recipe book could be cool. Like if there was a trident craft book which you could only get through some special method. Though we would need to add a duplication method for that, and maybe custom icons but I’m not picky.
Or just let you tag recipes as requiring discovery, like in that one gamerule. Even if we don’t actually use it I’d like the feature as a datapack maker. That would also allow for advancement-tied recipes.

For the luck potion, have frogs drop frog legs and make those the new ingredient for the leaping potion. Then the rabbit's foot is used for luck potions.

It is possible to get wither potions in witch huts, its just very rare. I've only found it in bedrock though so im not sure
My plan for the luck potion: make luck breweable with rabbit’s feet (they’re not a common drop) and add a frog’s leg drop from frogs for jump boost. For bad luck, fermenting a good luck potion is probably a better idea, but you could also make brewing a clock give bad luck potions. Gifting someone a clock is bad luck in china
I slightly disagree about the paintings; they are clearly a different style to the survival ones and the fact they are exclusive to creative is the reason they are interesting in the first place.
zombie horses should definitely spawn during zombie sieges, sucha misse oppurtunity
i like the longer you play in a world the higher chance of zombies and skeletons wearing armor mechanic, so why not let them ride their respective horses too so they can keep up with players better and make them an actual threat late game.
15:29 it would be cool if they added clovers. There will three leaf clovers and four leafs clovers which are rarer than three leafs and will be used to make luck potions.
I feel like zombie horses should take damage at night but also attack enemy's for you. Maybe they don't die in the daylight just get down to low health and can be healed with meat or rotten flesh,
imagine if minecraft added clovers as a type of flower, and very rarely a 4-leafed clover spawns
and this 4-leafed clover could be used to brew a luck potion

i have a zombie horse in survival on a server, they spawned on halloween. maybe it was because it's a modded server because i don't see anything online about that.
There were plans for the illusioner and it would reside in the red wood forrest and have a structure of It’s own, but these plans got scrapped as soon as the red wood forrest was replaced boy the taiga

Another mob that is exclusive to Bedrock addition and can only be summoned using commands is the NPC. If you’ve ever played a Minecraft Bedrock map before you’ll come across these. They can be summoned using commands. When in creative you can edit their text and change their skin. And in survival you can read their text.
The elder gurdian ghost could be like ghost leviathan being transparent and stuff
