As soon as Ryan pointed out the gloves on Samanthaâs outfit I knew he was legit. I wouldâve never caught that. The fact that he got voted out immediately is such bull. They definitely voted him out cause he wasnât dressed in cosplay.

Maybe for videos like these Jubilee can put like a âdress codeâ so that the people that arenât wearing clothing that the majority is wearing, wonât be voted out bc of it

Honestly, this problem occurs often in Odd One Out. It takes away from the point of the series, which is to find the hidden aspects of a group of people that only insiders would know. Like yes, sometimes apearance matters for the group they are doing, like here where looking at someone's actual cosplay is relevant, but in that case just enforce that dress code to be sure everyone follows it

The con crunch is when I knew Samantha was 100% the mole, since she basically copied exactly what AI had said, and plus her costume isn't that involved to justify a con crunch. Still 10/10 Samus cosplay!

I knew it was Samantha from the get-go. I didnât believe someone could have Mercy as their first cosplay, itâs pretty complex! I feel like if I was a cosplayer I would have showed up in my coolest cosplay yet, and thatâs what the girls did. Samus is pretty easy to pull off. I dunno I agree with the âthis is what I think cosplay isâ statement she probs went it. Tried covering up her inexperience by saying sheâs fairly new to it! Ahhh! The Santa Clause cosplay I was like damn this one is legit tho.

It seemed more like he was being playful but after everyone answered when they started he realized he had to give a serious answer, than him just lying and mixing things up completely.

As a cosplayer, as soon as I heard Ryan's comment, I instantly started suspecting Samantha. I hope Samantha gets into cosplay more because she portrayed (zero suit) Samus well, but most cosplayers are REALLY passionate when talking about cosplay and all of their past cosplay stories. Cosplayers (especially if they make their outfits) have a dedication and whenever Samantha spoke, we didn't hear that same level of excitement as when the others spoke. Samantha also gave shorter answers and gave off body language of dishonesty. Then again, I also have an interest in psychology and body language so I knew who was the mole shortly after Ryan's comment got me suspecting Samantha.

The gloves doesnât really fit as there were others wearing gloves and there are a lot of cosplayers that will struggle through the gloves for the sake of accuracy

If someone came not in cosplay, I would immediately think the mole IS NOT one of them, simply for the reason that the actual mole is going to try extra hard to be believable, so they would most definitely be in cosplay.. Usually first thought is, whenever a girl wears a jumpsuit type of outfit with no accessories coming off of it, it mainly feels like it's a costume and not a cosplay at a convention. I can get when people buy certain parts of their outfit for convenience but it was already sus, like how Ryan said about the gloves (which comes with the jumpsuit most likely) and her shoes being heels which would be the only thing handmade but not practical
I honestly didn't get the gloves and heels comments. Cosplay doesn't always mean you'll wear it to cons. I defo have cosplays that I only use for pictures, not for cons. There's just different types of cosplayers
@@edwardkonrad4353 - if you're just doing it for pictures, then you're a model and not a cosplayer. For example, I can dress up in steampunk because that's what my model agency asks me to wear - that doesn't mean I'm a real Steampunker. To be a cosplayer, it's practically a way of life.

Well, one of the others had gloves too? Many characters (like Sailor Moon) wear gloves and there's still plenty of people cosplaying these characters. I myself have a cosplay of my OC Sailor Cat, which I wear to cons, and it has gloves. Yeah, it sucks to use your phone with them, but it can't be helped. I also see many cosplayers with high heels.

Cosplaying is such a cool thing and takes time and effort and i appreciate it a lot like it's awesome to see all of u guys in those awesome characters and i love and admire cosplay and the people who dedicate their time for it
Samantha was my immediate guess for who the mole was because she basically just wore a skinsuit, which is kind of a quick and lazy costume purchase, even if she did wear it REALLY well.. Most cosplayers put a lot of time and effort into detailing/accessorizing their looks and those heels (which also looked great!) were just not enough. To be fair, though, I probably would have voted out the two guys as well.. LOL

Yeah, I thought it was meant as a lighthearted "haha I've been cosplaying my whole life" kind of joke but everyone took it completely seriously because he didn't have time to explain. I think maybe his communication style is a little bit different than everyone else's.
Seemingly not knowing Anime Expo hadn't happened yet was my kneejerk "okay no it has to be him" moment, which unfortunately ended at the exact wrong time so he again couldn't explain. If he's in the military, though, I feel maybe he's moving around enough that he could legitimately be confused, since there is a Fan Expo somewhere in the western hemisphere that I think happens in May, and if he's not primarily an anime cosplayer, maybe he is not as up on anime cons. Also all these cons are named such similar things, I don't blame him, honestly.

Probably also nervousness from being on camera, the lights and the fact that others are trying to suspect you of being "the mole" which is essentially attacking your identity by guessing you aren't something which has a role in your identity. Obviously, this is just a game and I don't think anyone will take it too personal...but I feel like there would be plenty of reasons someone might be nervous and forget simple things in the moment.

I KNEW THIS!! Her wig wasn't really styled, she told them that her first cosplay was mercy (it is very expensive and hard to make costume, so it is hard to belive that it was her FIRST ever cosplay), she made this shoes for cosplay but they didn't rly match the costume.
but youd be surprised. there are so many cosplayers who start off with big cosplays. and sometimes cosplayers are bad at wig styling. i know some who dont know how to style wigs and have been cosplaying for years

I belived Samantha because she said she was new to Cosplay, with only a few years under her belt. After she was outed, it made sense when it was explained how the gloves and shoes make the who look, but add discomfort over a long day at a convention.

Ryan! People wear gloves all the time when cosplaying. They usually make it easy to take on and off so that they can interact with things. Maybe people at the larger events don't like to wear gloves, but I table in the Midwest at various cons and usually cosplayers just slip the gloves off or they'll ask me to flip through items or they have a friend who helps out.
I thought the same thing but he actually replied to a comment and explained that her gloves were taped on, so she couldn't easily remove them.

I have cosplayed for a few years now and it is really fun :) I do like anime, but admittingly, I don't watch it that often (I guess I just don't have the free time to dedicate to watching more and when I do watch I usually binge watch a series for a while). Creating the cosplay is half the fun, yet the conventions themselves and the environment of everyone else in cosplay gives off an energetic vibe where it really is a community :)
