But maybe they need to understand not everyone did it as a choice or enjoys it. Lavenders background seems very traumatic, and itâs so sad that she was kinda invalidated. And to clarify I think that it is a valid profession but you need a little awareness in it because for everyone in the field they donât see it that way.
Itâs probably projection too, the amount of sex workers that say they are totally ok with it etc. and then say how damaging it is when they are older after they have quit is huge. I would say it is the majority of people that go through the sex work industry that have regrets. It really takes a certain type of person to do this work and thrive and if you are that person then you do you, I just donât think we should be promoting it to young people like it nothing because itâs really not for everyone.

I know Lavender didn't mean it this way (edit: not y'all wilfully misinterpreting međ) as she was only talking about her own experience, but it's so so dangerous to imply sex work is an ideal route for getting rich quick. Maybe 0.1% of people actually do well in the industry whilst thousands of others toil and sacrifice their privacy whilst failing to make rent. The popularity of SW as a "hobby" or fun thing for "anyone" to try has only made this worse.
