- Today, we're going to be creating a logo and package design for Sploosh from Holes!

The Process
----------------------
I'll be using Procreate and Photoshop CC to create the logo and package design. We'll design everything from scratch, including: choosing fonts, picking color schemes, and coming up with logo design concepts and creating custom illustrations.
Logo Design - We'll start with the logo and overall branding. This will include doing some style exploration to match the movies western vibes until our logo's layout is compact, legible, and effective.
Packaging Design - We'll start with a glass bottle mockup and come up with a simple design that continues to match the aesthetic of the movie. We'll paint a custom label and layout all the information in a way that creates good hierarchy and visual interest.
Presentation - We'll wrap up the video by creating a background matching the scene where Sploosh was discovered. This will include a lot of digital painting, photo editing, composition design, and some post processing and color grading.

Again a nice design! Your sense of lighting and color grading is really impressive to me. Usually when I try combining multiple images like you did at the end, you can really tell it's Photoshopped
Thank you very much! It usually takes a lot of trial and error to get things just right. Studying photography can really help to give you a better sense of composition, lighting, and color if you're looking to improve 👍

I'd love to see a video/guide about general tips to represent food on packaging (instead of just putting a direct picture of it like instead of putting a bowl of chillies, you can use flakes scattered around the text etc.) but just general tips!

Awesome tutorial! I think one major problem with the glasses lighting is the white reflection on the borders from the studio lighting; being burried on the ground would give it a rather brown tinted more textured reflection on the outline
This is still one of my favorite movies of all time, and you did such a PHENOMENAL job of capturing the little details. I could not have imagined a better design for this. WOW. just. WOW. Your quality and creativity astounds me

Haha, sorry it took so long to get this one out. Been working on some exciting things behind the scenes that I'll be sharing soon :). And I will definitely be working on some in-depth courses that will come out in the coming months.
I'm planning on doing one over Presentation Design (how to create mockups and present your work in a way that really wow's people) as well as one over my Lighting/Shading techniques to get realistic results. Do those sound interesting to you? What other course would you like to see?

Your series is epic! I love the designs you come up with. What if you created a restaurant franchise based off of Marvel, and designed a food item (hamburger, shake, fish sandwich, etc), or meal, that represents each character? Black Widow, Hulk, Captain America, and so forth. The same could also be done for DC.
