    A question from a newbie about precision tips. It appears that inks do not come in precision tip bottles so you have to buy bottles with those tips separately - is that correct? Can you just get the tips to insert into the original ink bottles? Or do you have to decant all your inks into new bottles? Thanks so much for your help - I've been googling this question with no success! These videos are a life saver 😆

    • @SCARYHAIRLADY
      @SCARYHAIRLADY  Před 2 lety

      I do buy some bottles with needle nose tips. But I do not transfer ink from the bottles unless the bottle is messed up. If I am mixing ink and alcohol then, yes I will transfer some ink and alcohol into another bottle. If I buy in the big bottles 2 or 4 oz. I will transfer into another bottle. I hope I did not confuse you . Let me know if you have anymore questions. Eloise

    I love your style! I only wish all the alcohol ink artists would tell the compressor PSI and nozzel size on air brush. Colors to me are less important than the air control.

    • @SCARYHAIRLADY
      @SCARYHAIRLADY  Před 3 lety

      Good point. the nozzle size .. I have not idea. It is what came on it . The PSI is between 25 and 35 for most petals that are smaller and longer.

    Thank you so much for sharing! Concerning the little "beads" or the way the ink "balls up" at the very end... do you have an in-line moisture & oil seperation filter between your air line and your airbrush gun? I'm taking a (strictly uneducated) guess that, maybe that's excess moisture. And, that's exactly what those filters are made to prevent. I've just recently learned about that, actually. I'd be really interested to know if that's what that is. Just a guess, though.

    • @SCARYHAIRLADY
      @SCARYHAIRLADY  Před 3 lety

      I don't have a filter on my airbrush. While it can be humid here I do this inside. When I do have problems inside, which isn't often, I let the dryer blow for a few minutes or I play with ink and the blow dryer and the humidity doesn't seem as bad.
