  • This video is filmed with GoPro Hero3 black edition camera. Frame rate is 120 fps.
I know it's not 100% galloping all the time, there's cantering, extended cantering, hand gallop and so on, but just have to stick to something! :)
Feel free to use the video as long as you credit us.

This is simply glorious and magical to behold. There is quite something marvelous to be said about draft horses and just horses in general. Ian has a very well collected gallop. Such a powerful stride. Love it, love him. Wow! Thank you for uploading this. His feathers are beautiful.

Thanks for your comments! I'm in Finland and (speak Swedish). I usually just talk about galloping when the horse is running faster (mainly because Finnish and Swedish mainly have one word for cantering, extended canter, gallop and so on. I'm not an expert, but I stick now to galloping and add some explanation to the description so nobody get's sad if the term I'm using is wrong :).

There are forest -and field roads in Finland, which are made from sand mixtures. So for anyone who is concerned, the road is not bad for his hoofs :) Rip Ian 💙

It's not mean to be concerned for a horse's health, so no offense taken. And the answer is still the same. We don't even have concrete roads in Finland. Not that I know of. It's sand, "hard packed" at some points, but sand. You can hear Ian's hoofsteps even in the paddock. Anyway, glad you like the videos, should make some new, and I promise to take very good care of Ian. (Was btw for first time at masseur on Sunday. The girl doing it said the horse is in very good shape and has no problems with muscles etc.)
