- This video is filmed with GoPro Hero3 black edition camera. Frame rate is 120 fps.
I know it's not 100% galloping all the time, there's cantering, extended cantering, hand gallop and so on, but just have to stick to something! :)
Feel free to use the video as long as you credit us.

I am so in love with his breed! Watching him canter in slow motion feels like heaven to me. I've never been able yet to ride a true Irish Cob yet... Beautiful! I'm crying.
This is absolutely my favorite Ian video at the moment!
Fantastic
I couldn't agree more! ;)
This will always be my favorite horse video
Thank you Stephanie, it's one of ours also! He was so gentle and beautiful Ian! We really should go through all the videos we have and upload some never seen footage.
This is simply glorious and magical to behold. There is quite something marvelous to be said about draft horses and just horses in general. Ian has a very well collected gallop. Such a powerful stride. Love it, love him. Wow! Thank you for uploading this. His feathers are beautiful.
Thank you for the really nice words! I definitely think the same about these kind of horses (and horses in general). Beautiful creatures! Specially Ian of course! ;)
You're welcome. Such a beautiful boy. Thanks to his owner for keeping him that way!!!
This only seemed to be a fast canter not really a gallop but that's just me
You could be correct. There are a lot of opinions on this video! :) For me the most important thing is that it looks nice! ;)
urdaddy if all of the feet are in the air at any point it can be considered a gallop
It’s canter because it has 3 beats, gallop has 4 beats
100% correct
I don't ride but I always thought a gallop was a good deal faster with the hooves .
What a stunning horse, he's beautiful. He reminds me of my Welsh cob over in France. I absolutely adore this video
Thank you for the nice words!
WOW!! lovely!! Ian is GORGEOUS!!!
Thanks xDiamondsInTheNightSkyx
NP!!! xoxo
Thank you for the nice words. The info about the music, including the link to the author is in the description field of the video. And the music is: "Chasing Time" (by Dexter Britain)
I love horse's, They are the most awesome animal on earth for me
That's why I'm here :)
Horses are very, no, VERY beautiful animals! You are at the right place!
I'm very happy to hear that our videos have a meaning for you! People that think Gypsys are not awesome, well, those people are not awesome! :) Keep up the faith!
wow, majestetic 💕
Thanks! This is one of our favorite videos!
Love, love this video....you are a very good rider. A good match to the Cob. The music is wonderful too.
Thank you! It was a beautiful day fpr riding. Unfortunately Ian was taken away from us not so long after this! But yes, they were a match made in heaven! RIP Ian. P.s. The music is really wonderful! No wonder we choose it! :)
Thank you for sharing these beautiful pictures of your adorable horse with us. This video is simply amazing!
Thank you Torsten for your kind words. It was also fun to make the video!
I'm satisfied and amused by Ian the horse
I'm happy to hear that!
Fantastic video, wonderful horse - thanks for posting
So BEAUTIFUL!
Irish Cobs (Tinker) Are just TOOOOO Beautiful
They are!
Thanks for your comments! I'm in Finland and (speak Swedish). I usually just talk about galloping when the horse is running faster (mainly because Finnish and Swedish mainly have one word for cantering, extended canter, gallop and so on. I'm not an expert, but I stick now to galloping and add some explanation to the description so nobody get's sad if the term I'm using is wrong :).
That’s a beautiful looking horse ❤️
So kind of you! Thx!
That's true. Looks really nice in slow motion.
awesome quality. majestic horse
Thank you for the nice words! Will do my best to post more nice videos. ;)
HE IS GALLOPING!!! WELL DONE GOWJJ HORSE, NICE TO SEE IN SLO MO
That horse is beautiful!!
Beautiful !!
Thank you for the inspiring words!
Thanks! Jumping with Irish cob is really awesome! Beautiful animals!
P.s. Thanks for your comment!
What a beautiful horse! Never seen a cob so white!!! ;) Can surely tell you take good care of your animals! :)
Thanks Kylah Skerrett We do our best! ;)
Deffo takes care of her animals sooo well do you even know the amount of damage ‘ galloping’ a horse on solid concrete does to their feet
@@chicofraser5363 that looks more like a dirt road.
It's a quite soft sandy road. Don't want to hurt our dear friend. And he really loves to do it on that road. He's like "let's go now! I want to gallop!"
What a beautiful animal. Love watching him move! I was worried for a minute this man was running him on the pavement. Thank god he isn't. He is so beautiful. Quite chunky so I am sure he is ok for galloping and that with a rider but I worry!
We did take good care of the horse we loved and he never had any problems with his feet. Unfortunately he got really ill and died last year. Cause unknown. Rip Ian
Thanks Oliver Vogt
WOW I really enjoyed watching this video, great music too :)
Thank you for the nice words!
I'm an experienced rider from Finland and I have never seen any concrete roads in Finland. You can clearly see that Ian was well-kept and healthy. There are forest -and field roads in Finland, which are made from sand mixtures. So for anyone who is concerned, the road is not bad for his hoofs :) Rip Ian 💙
Thank you for the supporting words! I couldn't have said it better myself! Rip Ian
Looks so soothing!
Thx!
@@pedroheller Was it? I will get a irish cob soon!
Thank you Anonymous wolf!
Maybe I should change back the name of the title to galloping? Or galloping and cantering? :) There's now one vote for cantering and one for galloping. Maybe next vote will decide what the horse is actually doing? :)
Thank you for the lovely words! I really hope you one day will be able to ride a true Irish Cob. I bet you will be crying afterwards! :)
You could call it a hand gallop which is what I use here in America (don't know if you're in US), but it is an extended canter. Usually a gait for hunter shows btu yes, he is galloping! :) beautiful footage and cob!
My pleasure! Hope you have great time with your horse!
Beauty!
Pretty good video, I like how horses move. 120 frames isn't super slow though, you are looking at 1000 and higher for super slow. I like the way cobs move. Thanks for posting.
I know it's not super slow, I just do like "all the rest" on youtube, exaggerate a little bit. :) I think it's a pretty good quality video so worth some selling words! :) Sorry if I fooled you!
Look at you - feathery feet, mane and tail all blowing in the breeze - just beautiful
:) Maybe I really should change it to that! Or maybe I should change the title to: " is sort of galloping and sort of cantering" :) And of course it's nice that people are active and have opinions on the videos. At least that's a sign that someone is watching them.
Thank you for the nice words!
Thank you!
this is wonderful!! I've always dreamt of galloping on a long and straight path but there are only grass, woods, country roads and fields around my barn :-)) really nice horse!!
Thanks for the nice words!
Ps. And that's why I tell the real frame rate so I'm not 100% talking crap ;)
Thank you for the nice words! Ian is doing just fine, thanks! He was today out in the terrain with one of the girls. Soon we will have winter in Finland and cannot do that much terrain as in the summer. At least not so much galloping.
Is that concrete you are galloping on as that is really bad for the horses legs and not being mean just concerned for your horse :)
Thank you for your concern! It's not concrete. Everything in Finland looks like concrete. Even sandy roads. :) We love our horse and try not to do anything that hurts him. And so far (knock on wood) he hasn't suffered from any leg injuries.

Ian the horse darcey gausden I agree with darcey, I'm really not trying to be mean, but is that defo not concrete? in some of the clips I can hear his hoofsteps. But I love your horse, your riding and your vids they are amazing! (my name is also darcey too lol) :)
toddiequestrian
It's not mean to be concerned for a horse's health, so no offense taken. And the answer is still the same. We don't even have concrete roads in Finland. Not that I know of. It's sand, "hard packed" at some points, but sand. You can hear Ian's hoofsteps even in the paddock. Anyway, glad you like the videos, should make some new, and I promise to take very good care of Ian. (Was btw for first time at masseur on Sunday. The girl doing it said the horse is in very good shape and has no problems with muscles etc.)
Bilbo Baggins The Ferret it’s a mud rode
This is what freedom looks like. Ian is beautiful
Enchy Games Thanks!
Thanks for subscribing. Saw the video of your Pony. Lovely horse! Keep up practicing because you can never be too good I've heard! :)
You are so right. Problem is that in Swedish you usually talk about "galopp" both for cantering and galloping so I always forgot about the canter phase. But, have now changed the title to more realistic one.
Thanks!
It's so cute 🥺
Thx for the kind words! Sooo cuute! :D
Such a beautiful forelock
Your horse is so pretty!!! :D
Nice horse it's beautiful
Thank you for the nice words Ciara Farrell
The feathery feet are faboulous! Raymond Ashby Thanks for the nice words (again). ***** I really think you should one day go for a longer walk with the horse and find a nice spot to just do it! :)
Reminds me of spike. :=) A cob I rode sometimes. Really surprisingly agile.
Spike! That's a nice name for a cob!
subbed you ! I'm jumping with a irish cob and its awesome
It may look like he is cantering but he is actually galloping! Cantering is a 3 footed gait and galloping is 4 footed! All his feet are in the air at the same time so he IS galloping!
Thanks! And about the galloping. Read the comments. There have been a lot of discussion about this. ;) Ps. It's also not actually super slow motion, but it sounds better! ;)
His mane is beautiful 😍
Thanks kacey goodman
Ok Ian is buitifal love him so much ❤
For your concern this is not concrete it's a sand road that is what they look like in Finland
And you are so true about the roads, we made sure he had the best days. Love Ian.
@@pedroheller Yes it's just to stop confusing anyone
ce cheval est magnifique.
Very nice.
Thank you Jason Pearce
Sorry for my late response, haven't been logged in for a while. If you are still interested then Yes, you can use the video for your purposes as long as you credit the source some how.
I ride a horse called garroth, we r currently cantering! Can't wait to go into gallop!
Sounds great! Galloping is so much fun! You'll love it!
Irish horses: Pepe, Silver and Ian Cool! Thx for the inspiration!
Nice!
Thanks Manuela!
Wow 💕
Thanks!
True, true :)
I'm just saying you shouldn't as it messes up the feet badly but if you haven't had problems then go you but the amount of times I've know people that couldn't ride anymore for what happend with their feet
Anastasja Oudhoff it’s a mud road
Its not concrete haha. Just sand
Its sand there sand roads look like concrete in Finland
Wow
I almost had a heart attack because I thought you were galloping on a cement road 😂
sry for that! :) And no, no cement road!
+Virginie Spengler Merci!
On my channel I'm galloping on a welsh but it looks like cantering and people were disliking it because it looked like cantering. So say controlled gallop or extended canter:)
I want the sound of the huffs it makes me feel good in side
Hi there, I was wondering if I could take this clip and do a close up on his feet landing on the ground, put it in black and white and use it for the opening of a film I am working on? :) Thanks in advance for your response.
🐴👍 you go girl ➰ beautiful to see
Thx! A beautiful horse!
excellent video loverly horse
he looks huge!!! for an irish cob... how tall is he?
please inches or centimeters
Oops, that was supposed to be such a beautiful forelock, what a pretty boy. Here
Beautiful horse! What is the music called?
Isn't it bad for the horse to galop on hard ground?
+marcus hamelink its not really hard as in concrete, its a track really
Ian is 157 cm tall. A little taller than the average Irish cob.
How had you recorded the video next to the horse?
+belen sacristan I was riding a bike next to the horse and had the camera in my hand.
That looked like a canter and when would u run your horse on hard roads?
There are a lot of opinions is it canter or gallop, as long as it looks nice, it's good enough ;). P.s. It's not hard road.
Wahou ❤❤❤❤
Thx Malika! ❤
Just wondering what are you galloping on?
a horse
@@alannahx6641 nice one.
that is so pretty.
Thank you Andrea for the kind words!
That's great! But I bet our Ian is a little bit faster than your Ian? :)
Great for you Tim! Sorry. Ian! ;)
I'm subscribing you
Can i use a bit of this video in my own video?
Lily Moffatt Yes you can as long as you credit the original video, for instance with a link at the description of your video. Good luck with your video project!
He was canterimg?
Vad hände med Lan?
Vi kommer aldrig att få veta med 100 % säkerhet, men troligen någon form av cancer. :(
How did he die??
+elle schimmel We will never know. We made a lot of tests but nothing was found. The last theory was that it was some kind of cancer. :(
precio del caballo??
Lo siento, pero ya no lo recuerdo. Estaba entre diez y cinco mil euros.
