Staal has been having a tremendous playoffs. He dominated the bruins in the face off dot and has done it again this series.
He also just bullys guys on the ice. Like he really plays like a giant and will throw players around if he chooses to.
It’s so fun seeing him get on the forecheck and just keep the opposing team stuck in their zone.
ESPN did a good job highlighting how loud the fans got watching Staal just dominate late in the game.

Carolina is having a tough trip to the cup. Had to fight off the goon squad that is Boston, and now having to fight off our mirror image 'evil' twin in the Rangers defense. Tampa is an offensive juggernaut but has played some crazy good D against the Florida Panthers. I think no matter what happens the East is going to beat the West for the cup. Honestly I thought RBA should put that line out on the PP on the road. Put DeAngelo and one of Aho, Svech, or Turbo on the point. The line does such a great job fourchecking five on five and getting to loose pucks. I think it could generate some great chances on the PP. Also RBA needs to be willing to mix his lines up on the road if they are not clicking offensively.

I don't understand the matchups argument. The Canes were 25-12-4 on the road in the regular season. Yes we are in the playoff, but a hockey game is a hockey game. The problem on the road has been mostly special teams along with just not getting to their game. They have looked slow on the road.

It would be interesting to get a video of different play styles in hockey. I feel like out of the 4 playoff pairings, CAR+NYR gets the least attention due to their play styles in general. Dangle and folks call it a boring series but still the heavily stacked D teams still have something to give to hockey thus them being in the playoffs 2nd round to begin with. I feel like Team Finland gets a lot of flack with the same thing internationally. People especially in North America and Russia call Finland's play style boring but to some extent, it seems like a winning style to play hockey right now. Any thoughts The Hockey Guy? :)

Sorry but why does Trouba always get booed by every team?

I guess we are going 7.

From a Rangers fan, we got dominated after the first period. Not even close. Fox looks hurt, panarin ain't right, no offense from the bottom 6. Have to get Kakko off the damn 4th line. Makes no sense

Yeah, what's up with panarin? Is he hurt or something? And why did they break that third line up? You'd probably know more than I do. From a pens fan.

@@daturdburglar2261 if he's not hurt then he's just not built for playoff hockey. Feel the same way about Fox too. And gallant has been trying to throw off Brind'amour's matchups by switching the lines. Worked for us in games 3 and 4 but we were on home ice. Gotta go back to the well game 6 and put the kids back together. Condolences for beating you guys last round, but we are right behind ya lol

@@kpine0927 well he better his shit together lol. Yeah... I mean that really is the one thing that I've seen with this rangers team. The talent is there, they just need to turn it on for a whole 60 min. All of them. Esp your top guys. Honestly, that third line is probably the most impressive thing I've seen from them this postseason. You guys should be pretty optimistic for the future.
lol thanks man, It is what it is. I've seen them win a lot, but those things don't last forever. Good luck to you guys though, I think it will go to 7.

Rangers looked flat tonight. I think they'll win Game 6 and lose in 7.

Putting into words how unbelievably disgusted I am with this team after that abhorrent effort tonight isn't polite for this comment's section, they will lose game 6&secure the 27th season in a row of failure

The Canes have a lot to do with how bad the Rangers looked in this game.
