Thanks for watching BJJ Techniques | Multiple Side Control Chokes | CVBJJ Online - Sport
Love how you repeat the moves over and over. Helps a lot.
Such a wonderful coaching style. Slow definitive steps, with key words and phrases that trigger the brain. Love this, very helpful and effective! 🤙
@WT Callahan lll 100%! The last time I rolled, my coach said “happy cat!” With regards to my back posture and instantly I knew what he meant and that stuck with me! 🤙
Anthony's jiu-jitsu is so freaking solid.
Yeah, but he is doing it with no resistance.
The best teachers are the one that teach with resistance
Solid as a rock
Gotta love Anthony man. “Lookin to Pop the top off there a little bit”. 💪😂💪
Fantastic video. I love how you peel away the layers of his defense and demonstrate less used submissions. I'll definitely be referring back to this and working on the moves
i've seen all these chokes before but you gave some little details that i've never seen before! thanks for the video
Fantastic demo!! Thank you for posting! I seen this guy roll on Roy Deans channel and he is a beast! So technical its amazing!
I like these instructions, straight to the point , most instructions have a lot of talk
I literally hit that first one on three people today, it's my new favourite choke!
Fantastic, I'll teach that tonight. Oss
Munyanyo
Absolutely incredible. Thanks for posting.
Beautiful variations of those last few chokes. I study this position a lot and I've never even seen those. Love that Jiu-Jitsu keeps me learning!
Gonna incorporate these into my game. A lot of my attacks come from side control especially since I'm a bigger guy. Can't wait to try these.
These are great. Will try them on my economics professor next time I get a bad grade.
Brilliant, thank you!!
Loved this brotha gonna try them Monday.
Love this one. Sensei Anthony is a beast, too.
a fantastic video to learn the details. thanks for uploading!!!
I knew maybe like one of those chocks... the first One... I like the detail about isolating the arm for a wrist lock
Very well executed techniques. Thank you for sharing 🙏🏾🇨🇦
great video! nice and simple for a new guy like me! i also like how you are not "extra". very well done!
Thanks for this. I already use most of these, but there are always little tweaks to add.... the no pass loop choke is new for me, so adding that to my side control choke options.
This whole system is crazy. super systematic oss
Was really trying these out in class today but couldn’t nail them. Better luck tomorrow.
Great stuff !!!
Great stuff here. Will be trying to use some of these
Love it. Sneaky sneaky!!!
Nice stuff!
Cool variations...watched the whole thing
Can you show how to defend the same techniques? Because I believe if I try them on a resisting training partner, it may not work as depicted.
Thats an awesome side game right there, i will be doing this for the whole month in training
Amazing.
Very nice some great details in these chokes thanks
REALLY like the 2nd 1!!
nice vid. I forgot about the pushing the lapel under during the cross face.
One thing though.. I'm careful about the shin on bicep. I use the top of my shin near my knee. it's tons of pressure on the bicep. If you put it near the ankle their isn't much pressure and you really put yourself at risk of your opponent grabbing your foot and torquing your knee. He could also just reach around your foot and grab your belt but the real issue is potentially hurting your knee... exact position that a training partner needed knee surgery.
와우..간단하면서도 강력한 기술 고맙습니다!!
Nice sound at 6:49 :)
Video is great, very helpful.
Thank lot Sensei for your great techniques
Great 👍🏼 stuff - I’m a side control/north south player and usually trap the near arm under the shin like you show here - I like the way you trap the far arm as well - I usually get chokes from there, but since you’ve trapped the far arm isn’t it also open for an Americana, Armbar, and/or Kimura?
Subscribed! Your shit's dope! These are NASTY!
Very cool professor 👍
I use the far lapel loop choke all the time…one of my favorite chokes
Great teacher. Thank you.
The best details 🙏🏻
Great video, I can usually maintain control but rarely get any subs. Definitely going to try to pop the top off👍👍
Nice old school judobit thanks for the wrist lock never thought of that one
So my game! Thank u for sharing
Beautiful. Many thanks
Been using that first choke heaps but do struggle to finish on guys with thinner necks. Am certainly looking forward to trying to “pop their top off” 😝😝😝
Nice!
Devastating chokes!
Thanks Oss nice techniques
that's nice. I'm going to work that on the matt this morning 🌄 .
for the first one when you're separating their arms so you can slide your knee over to trap it how do you do that if they have a really tight grip on their hands
Savagery!!! Loved this video!
You all probably dont give a damn but does any of you know a method to log back into an instagram account..?
I was stupid forgot the account password. I appreciate any assistance you can offer me
@Enzo Alijah Instablaster :)
@Diego Lukas thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site through google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff now.
I see it takes a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Diego Lukas it worked and I actually got access to my account again. Im so happy!
Thanks so much, you saved my ass !
@Enzo Alijah glad I could help :D
These have all worked for me. It scares the hell out of the white belts.😀
super slick, i like to get the grip from reverse kesa gatame
wow- i am falling in love all over again. this is so awesome! so many fantastic positions.
As a bigger feller, I often find myself here. Nice to have this in my back pocket.
Very good video especially HD and angle is wonderful
Glad you enjoyed it!
Wow, excellent, thx
This is good 👍 💪
Awesome ❤️❤️🤩
Soooo good 👍
Pros: A variety of useful options for attacking from that specific side control configuration.
Cons: Requires the opponent to give up one of the most compromised positions of side control, which no good grappler will ever allow.
There’s a reason you see VERY few finishes from side control at the elite level. Guys use frames.
I appreciate your time, but techniques that work against all levels and not just beginner to mid level grapplers are preferable.
PS: This would work against me still haha
What is his full name ? I saw that 2 hour sparring video here and this man was on another level 🤩😍
👏
My professor catches me always with the third lapel choke
i still come to this video years later
Gold.
For the thumb in one, is the forearm supposed to come across their throat or to the sides of the neck (ie, pressing on one side with the gi/hand, the other with the forearm)? I’m a little confused as to where the pressure comes from in the choke.
This guys neck rn 😵💫
very nice
Genuine question, but if you trap both the arms at the beginning how is the first choke never going to work? i.e. why do you need any of the others?
Savage chokes. The dude has forearms and hands the size of a bear’s
"So again"
Blue belt thinking "oh ffs"
😁
Any side control chokes that work no gi?
Wow
What’s this coach’s name? I’d like to view more of his videos
On the far side lapel choke. What is choking him on his right side of his neck. The far side lapel is across the left side of his neck. Sorry to ask.
Pop the top off!
White belt here. Why check for the wrist lock?
What is the purpose of the wrist lock since you are letting go right afterwards?
He was just showing the wristlock as an option. If that really happens and you get the tap, you'd stop and then begin rolling again from standing or the floor.
Just one question, how do you actually break the cable grip with that one hand just grabbing backwards ? I don't really see that happening...
I think you're right about the grip break being impossible there. You'd have to pin and switch with your knees to get the arm down. Or pin it as you come into side control.
Most of the time this near arm will be framing on the hip, so it won't be locked in a grip around the back. Unless it's your first class. But for the purposes of teaching the mechanics of a technique, the arms could be placed out of the way.
Check out the beginning of this video for a solution

does anyonethat speaks Japanese/Chinese know why it says 'Zui Jia' on the Gi? is it a brand name? I get that it means 'extremely family/home' but It doesnt make much sense to me
just looked up the definition of Jia again and I'm guessing it also refers to an expert, so I guess its saying 'highly expertised/experienced'. is this correct?
Very cool tech. But wrist locks are kind of bush league. But the rest of it is very cool
i have to admit, im really excited about these. i often struggle isolating an arm for submissions and like another comment made , ive watched alot of videos and i havent seen these chokes. personally i think chokes are way better for lower belts. white belts will fight like hell against arm triangles and any arm isolation, but they tap like a hangman's drummer when a choke is coming. if you cant get these as a green horn white belt you should give up the sport.
Awesome video. And great technique.
I’m sure it’s a habit from teaching live, but there’s no need to show the technique 3 times on a video format unless your changing angles or adding details.
Thanks again for a great video!
You know you are super fucked when you hear that fabric stretch
😊👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿
😍🥰❤️👻🎃
I noticed your partner is hugging you, which I'll only get out of new white belts. Any advice on techniques to get their arms behind me to begin with?
You can try a number of ways such as cupping their shoulder with your undertook hand and with your head against their bicep then pulling them up into it. Otherwise often when you’re hunting the kimura/cutting armbar/americana the safest place when you’re on the bottom can be to “hug” your opponent. I wouldn’t say this is a white belt only move though as from there from the bottom of side control I seek to then use that arm/shoulder to bridge against the person on top and hip out for guard replacing or then rock back pinning their undercooked arm for sweeps etc.
Hey could we see some aikido grappling/rolling? We need true martial artist like you to turn aikido into sport so it's effectiveness can solidify
But it's just a pain submission, not a blood choke. In a real fight, are we talking crushed larynx?
I'm a no gi player, none of these work for my style, or really even outside of competition.
facing two attackers leave you in a very bad situation. This is why many consider BJJ to be very weak. However it does help to learn BJJ
We be cool if you discussed aiki grappling rules and started a tournament, aikido is sleeping now, we need aikidokas with blackbelt judo to construct rules, reach out to lenny sly and dan the wolfman and set up a aikido tournament
Kidding me with the push his arm to the mat. He's got a good grip on his other hand. Your using strength vs strength on a 2 on 1 in your opponents favor. Weak technique on that part.
Guess you'll need some timing or setup!
Okay white belt
Whoa! Bad ass!
Wow that is amazing teaching. Very detailed and technical. Almost seems rehearsed.
You know I tell people in class that just when they think they have seen every Gi-applied choke through years of practice, they need to think again. The number of chokes is almost limited to your imagination.
