The Snyder Cut simultaneously made Superman even MORE badass while actually increasing the importance of the rest of the team. Especially Flash and Cyborg.
The problem with DC is that some super heroes are excessively overpowered.. very difficult to manage a team like that....but syndercut successfully managed that which is very impressive
In the theatrical release I felt like the whole plot was them relying heavily on Superman to do most of the heavy work. In Snyder Cut the heroes did their best as a team and felt like reviving Superman was a side quest.
right? i didnt think the whedon cut was flat out bad, but I thought superman just coming in and making the rest of the team useless was really poor writing. But, that's not actually the case. They actually *lost*. It was Barry that saved them from the motherboxes uniting, and it took ALL of them, working together, to actually BEAT steppenwolf and his forces. this is so much better than "recognize that smell?"
Yeah because even though they brought superman back and he was holding his own with Steppenwolf they still needed to separate the mother boxes, a task that neither superman, cyborg or flash could do alone
It’s easy to make characters more developed when the movie is 4hrs long. Joss had to cut it at 2hrs, it’s a difficult task to give all the characters their moments in that time
It’s crazy cause Flash saved the entire universe in the Snyder cut, and here he just saves one family

And the quirky Superman lines in this are abysmal. In the Snyder Cut, he jumps into action. HE'S SUPERMAN FFS. HE IMMEDIATELY TAKES A BLOW FOR THE TEAM.
THE THEATRICAL RUN IS SO STUPID.

And for all that to be cut in the theatrical cut and constituted with a “booyah” line is honestly dreadful towards the actor of cyborg and for others that worked on the film.
Cutting loads of stuff that would’ve been able to make people go wild and insane back in 2017 is infinitely enough to justify people’s hate on what warner bros did to the movie.

Superman eyes laser beam for example, are from Snyder version, the only difference is the black suit and the camera position. This JL is 6,5 movie. Zack Snyder will be a 7.0

Everything aside, I don’t think the CGI, the acting, or the writing are the worst things in this movie.
The worst part of the movie, in my opinion, was the forced inclusion of the Russian family that served no purpose other than to drain 10-15 minutes of runtime for what could have been used to showcase something cool and expository, like the Knightmare sequence, but instead was spent watching them be saved like they were some sort of priority.
Thanks Whedon. The fans truly appreciate your efforts.
Edit: I’ve seen the Snyder Cut. It completely destroys the Josstice Cut.

It’s not really Whedons fault. He was brought in and used his own vision. Alone, Snyder and Whedon would have made a kick ass movie. But they had different visions which did NOT mesh together, so we ended up with this mess.
It served purpose for producers, because it was Russian-Jewish family and Dostoevsky part wasn't accidental either.. People say all those movies are US propaganda, it seems not only, but well.. That's how the world works. You pay, you demand. lol
@@MrMalborasy On the contrary, a lot of the executive producers hated and were in WTF mode when they read Whedons script. There's a confirmed source from an executive WB Producer. The Russian family served no purpose and they knew it. If I find it I'll upload it.

well, I am a Marvel fan, but I think that it's just natural for them to fall to that trap since they were just starting. I think it naturally happens, and hopefully, they will develop a better villain with interesting side.

I FINALLY figured out why this scene bothers me so much. The CGI is terrible, the fights are bland where they just pull back their fist and punch really hard with no technique, but that's not what gets me.
What gets me is the fact that with all the backgrounds being CGI, the director didn't even try to make it look like the characters interacted with the environment. They all have immaculate skin without a single speck of dust on them, despite fighting in a dusty hole in the ground. No sweat, no dirt, nothing. Like they stepped out of a photo shoot for a beauty magazine.
Compare that to Avengers where everyone's covered in blood sweat and tears. No comparison.

@TyetheRebel You're simply misinformed if you think that Snyder doesn't like or get Superman. Man of Steel was the most respectful Superman movie ever and BvS deconstructed him to his moral core. It's a story that tells us that no matter if the whole world has betrayed you and you're in hell, there is still hope for a better tomorrow. Clark is able to see this through Lois Lane, and dies for an Earth that tears him down. That's called real heroism, not perfect results. Grow up son.
