    Marseilles is beautiful! That huge Byzantine cathedral, wow! The beach too, and the port. Good to know it is a week’s worth of sights and experiences. Thanks for sharing your video!

      Marseille hit me like a total surprise! So many things to do in the city proper alone without even taking the nearby places in Provence into consideration! The interior of the Basilica was equally impressive as shown in another video of this Marseille adventure! Thanks for watching 🙏

      That would be wonderful! I really hope you'll have a great time there! Lots of things to do and I'm sure you'll be the Marseilles expert I wish I talked to before my own trip by after 2 months there!! Thanks for watching!! 🙂🙏

    Great! You did make it to Cours Julien! Seems the worse thing that happens, the later it is, the more you notice the drug addicted people. But, me being with 5 young French men, probably helped. Hehe! The people in Marseille were so warm and friendly! I didn’t make it to the fort. It was over 90 degrees in June, and there was no shade.

    Thanks for the nice comments about our crazy city. The Cours Julien and Le Plaine areas may look shady but are relatively safe. I do advise getting out there by 2-3 am on weekends just in case any shit goes down.

    You have much more experienced in your two days in Marseille than me in one week, so awesome!!

    • @SayuRinpoche
      @SayuRinpoche  Před 11 měsíci +1

      It is a truth that spending 7 days will always be more rewarding than spending 2 days in this amazing city , regardless of how you do it! 😉I wish I could slow down a bit so I could enjoy even more of the same thing 😅 As long as you had a great time - that's all it matters!!!

      @@SayuRinpoche yes it was really a great time and after what happened one week later, I am happy that I took the right week. But they were always friendly without scamming and harassing

    Nice video! You travel the way I like to by just setting off and going! Also, you French and historical references are great!

      Thanks so much for watching! 🙏. Yeah while I want to see the big attractions everyone talks about, I'm also interested in discovering hidden gems (especially the local ways of life!). To do that, like you said, setting off and going is the best way 😉

    wait what was the ferry for and how much?

    • @SayuRinpoche
      @SayuRinpoche  Před rokem

      Are you referring to the ferry to the Frioul Archipelago or the one between two sides of the old port? I didn't take the one to the the archipelago, so I don't know the price but I would imagine it's not going to be that expensive. The one between the two sides of the old port was included with the Marseille transit pass so I did not pay anything extra 😅
      If you are asking about the Calanque National Park boat tour, I made another video in details. Here is the link 😉
