Turning the prop around exposes the holes very much off center revealing that the glass is merely slid back and forth so the needle and ribbon can pass, just like the little table model made in (turkey?)showing it being made.

@@noway4413 To be honest magic has got to the state now where spoilers and reveals have more watchers than the performance. People know there is basically only 2 or 3 methods to most tricks so the magic has gone...so they turn to reveals for fun and the youtube figures show that.
