Such a great song. Each part brilliantly crafted to give the listener the best possible experience. Loved it back then and love it even more now in 2018. These guys were part of a wonderful BOSTON (and New England!) music scene back in the day. One of my all time favorite songs...
They were the Boston band before there was a band called Boston... Boston will always be great but NEW ENGLAND ALWAYS ROCKS! saw ya at Mr. C's and got one of John's guitar picks and still have it! was playing a washburn Great show!
I saw these guys with Kiss at MSG in New York! They sounded awesome that night. I went out the next day and bought the album. Still have it and play it regularly.
its funny how a song just pops in your head. I didn't remember the group name but I remember the song so vividly from my high school years. thanks for the music and making our lives better because of it
They opened some shows for KISS on the Dynasty Tour. When I saw them in Columbia, Whiteface (from Atlanta) opened. Heard that an upcoming John Cougar did some dates with them on this tour, too.
I saw these guys at the paradise in 1980something. somehow I knew a guy who worked for their label and he decided to play a joke on them. They were going to do a song called BE my dirty dream tonight. The label guy [forget his name] hired a local woman to come out on stage during the song [unannounced] dressed in a somewhat flimsy negligee and start dancing around them provocatively. I have to hand it to the guys who literally did not miss a note! The look on Fannon's face was pure comedy and I'll never forget it.
I saw you guys open for Kiss in Pittsburgh,PA July 1979! WOW!!! This is great! You still sound fantastic!! I had your album and then cassette. Although Kiss was pretty much a sellout then and totally lacking class now, You guys are still great musicians and are still doing it for real. Thank you for this video and song. PS, This was alway a great song to have playing the car, while parked with a girl. I'm old now, but....back in the day! LOL
The latest issue of AOR Magazine has a nice article on New England. It caused me to reevaluate them. I went out and bought a copy of the debut record last evening.
I am not legally with the band, but I am friends with both the guys in the band and their management. This show is a small theater, but it is also a test to see if their is enough interest to play further concerts in other parts of the country. First, we must prove that people will still come to see them...their other two appearances since 1983 were both short sets for charitable purposes. This is a full concert with them being the only name on te bill.
Who would've thought I would see you guys show up on YT? A forgotten group from 1979 (well almost!) playing live last year? I have it on vinyl, had it on 8 track, and if I get the chance, I'll come out and see you! Thanks for the post!
