    Anyone wanting to do this business, start by aging your Authority/MC now by using your everyday driver car and getting Comercial insurance on it the lowest the FMCSA requires... So by the time you hit the ground running with an actual truck and trailer you can either work with brokers after the 60-90 days or book your own loads.
    Also to add it never used to be this way with the wait with brokers... Unfortunately the fraud in this industry is rampant with all modes of transport.

      Even if my everyday driver is a small sedan? How would this work exactly?

    When backing those cars down I find it better to tilt both side mirrors down and that way you can see you back tire when they reach the ramp to make sure they’re lined up. A lot better than hopping out the car. If the backs lined up then the fronts will be too. Stay safe out there brother.

    • @EprofitdetroitTheProcess
      @EprofitdetroitTheProcess  Před 9 měsíci +2

      Great tip, i actually do both, but wanted to stress the point of safety first for beginners in my videos. Those extra seconds it takes to hop out and check can save you alot of worries . Thank you for the advice ✊🏽

I got a 5 car double deck now. Tier 1 logistics llc is the name you see me on the road hit me up. I'm in my 21 day wait period right now. Good luck abs keep them wheels turning

      Its risky honestly but No thats what most people do. The majority of haulers financial their trucks . On average a new dually pickup cost between 60k to 100k . If you plan on operating interstate, meaning going Over the road long distance i suggest you get a good fairly new or new truck, you'll just have to hump. But that the game. People take out loans for semi's and trailers its how most get started.

    3:24 Bro, I am seeing rates as $1.50 to $1.92 on your phone! How on earth is this possible? I am about to start with a '22 Ram 6.7 diesel dually and rent a Kaufman Mini 5 (I know its heavy but I will use it for 4 cars for the most part) CDL set up. I don`t have authority, not enough money for insurance. (So I am riding under a company for 12% dispatch. I plan to drive southern states, California-Florida, not north as it is cold and slippery.
    Everyone is telling me, rates are $0.40 - $0.70 for a normal sedan!!! If it`s something bigger, it`s like 20 cents more. Your video is recent from 2 months ago! How the F@#$ a one car for driving only 124 mile pays $179??? $1.48 / mile?? (Chevy Traverse) /// 74 miles drive, $141?? $1.92 / mile?? Why is everyone telling me I will make only 40-70 cents a mile at best?? There is something wrong with this!!! PLEASE TELL ME!!

      @EprofitdetroitTheProcess  Před 8 měsíci

      Don't believe what people say, that's exactly why I'm so transparent with my videos. But to answer your question, shorter hauls pay more And longer runs pay less , under $1 for sure . It's crazy but that's how it works. I've picked up $6 per mile hauls to go 30 miles . The key is checking the load boards like central dispatch and super dispatch but you must have you're own authority to gain access. Watch my local vs otr rates video for more info .

      @@EprofitdetroitTheProcess was just watching your otr vs local video but no it makes perfect sense. Usually very short runs pay higher. I am planning on renting the mini5 this Monday. After the deposit and first month upfront, I only have few hundred to spend on diesel. I am right now in miami. I told my dispatch that I need few cod/Zelle paying cars so that I can put together some diesel money and grow from there. I don’t care about money for food. Forget about finding cod car…my dispatch tells me (a guy I don’t even know what country he is located in) there are NO cars going out of Miami. That miami is difficult. He found 1 F’ING sedan going to Virginia. That one car is not gonna even pay my diesel! Is this really the slowest time of the year? Even if so, it’s not possible to find 2-3 cars?? I really don’t get it. I have a CDL for almost 2 years, perfect MVR, TWIC card, almost new diesel 3500 dually and want to get not a wedge but 5 car hauler. And because I have been butt f’ed by companies so many times, I am planning on being happy if I make $25 / hr by driving!!! There is not even loads they are telling me……..

    • @EprofitdetroitTheProcess
      @EprofitdetroitTheProcess  Před 8 měsíci +1

      I'm not sure who you're working with as far as the dispatcher but i can almost promise , you wont be able to earn any money working with them. They have a limited search and probably work with certain brokers . I understand that you have to do what you must to get started but its better looking for loads yourself, you can choose where you want to go and how far. You can sign on to the shippers directly and build a relationship and get emails when loads are available But again you'll need access to load boards. I'm not sure what its like in Miami but i would say yes its the slow season but because I'm in the metro Detroit area around the big 3 auto makers its always a need for cars to be transported. You starting out with the right mindset, you have to be hungry and determined to be successful in car hauling so hang in there and learn as much as you can to be able to grow .

      Honestly dude you need to take a step back, if youre starting out with no money and have a 12% overhead from another company you will never make any money in this game. They're telling you you’ll make that lower rate once all of your fees and gas mileage are factored in. It also really depends on where you live, this isnt really a business just to hop into, do your research and GET YOUR OWN AUTHORITY! Find a part time gig and grind the winter out and stack dude, down payment for insurance is around 3-5k dependent. Think of starting small and work your way up it sounds like you already have a lot of overhead as well “22 truck and needing to rent a 5 car mini”. Not trying to down you or anything but just reevaluate a few things here

      that depends on a lot, your driving record plays a factor and your coverages. I cant really answer that, but if your starting a new authority expect to pay a lot .. between 7k - 15k a year in some cases
