As a neutral that looked a cracking game . Well done to Braintree town . One thing they will have to improve is their defending , in the national league . But the keeper looked very good for the iron . Pleased for Freddie sears . Ex hammer boy .

They have a bit of trouble controlling the ball, don't they? It tends to bounce around a bit, innit? Still, when you're working in the bank, there's not much time for ball skills practice, I suppose.

With that defending by either teams especially Braintree, teams in the National league next season will be having a field day, caught out by so many long balls do that next season and they will be straight back down.
To be fair, this game was the highest goalscorers Vs the best defence. We've been defensively solid most of the season and kept like 22 clean sheets

Just a comment about the kit. Someone should think about colour blind fans. What is wrong with a team wearing white?
Whilst I wish Braintree all the best of luck next season, it makes me wonder if Chelmsford City will ever get out of the division. The life of a City supporter is one of continuous disappointment. It pisses me right off.
Mate I’m 58 used to watch them at new writtle street in the 70s and very early 80s as i lived in Upper Bridge Road .I remember in the early 70s Chelmsford actually winning what is now known as the conference now ,but due to the ground having a crumbling wall surrounding it we’re turned down for promotion .I even saw them play in front of 16.500 fans against Ipswich in the fa cup in the 73/74 season.They have never been close again ,and they have been stuck in a rut ever since.
