I'm not sure any other team in history has got 107 points in their league and not been promoted (or won it) automatically, so I'm rooting for Notts County in the final.

Somehow, even though there were last minute goals in normal time and extra time, that block with the stud of a boot to prevent County going 3-1 down was the most heroic moment in the match
True but it was caused by the same player switching off, great recovery but ideally shouldn’t have been in that situation

As a local to Wrexham and follower of the team ! I have to say Notts county deserve to go up. They have played sensation football this season and too finish on 107 points and still not get promoted is crazy 😨😨
An Arsenal fan enjoying a great season. But, the lower leagues are much more fun to watch and very cheap to attend!
My son plays for Stevenage Academy so watched them get promoted to League 1. Now it’s Notts County, what an amazing game!! We go all over the country for those games!!

I reckon that after this season there may be a discussion to address the imbalance in teams being promoted to the Football League and those that exit said division.
Given how both County and Wrexham have been almost faultless all year and given us one of the best title races in any division this season, it deserves both teams returning to the EFL so as to allow them to continue such rivalry and pit themselves against better quality opposition.

I was at the game with my son. We hugged, we danced we cried. That is what football is about.

@extoast the average attendance at Wrexham may be close to 10,000 on average but its been between 4-5000 in recent seasons.
thousands stopped going when they were relegated, and it only got back up this year because they look to be promoted.

Things got interesting at the Wrexham
Interesting fact when man city were relegated to lower leagues the fans kept coming they constantly broke records and gave tremendous support away giving much needed revenue to those poor clubs suffering down there .... And also when International games are on the weekly schedule some lower league clubs have a spike in their attendances ...
Have to say, watched all 4 semi final play off teams, and Notts County look like they play by far the most superior football. Absolute joy to watch them play. Hope they get promoted.

It's hard on Boreham Wood after they led for so long and came within seconds of winning it in the 90. But yeah, taking the season as a whole, Notts County deserve to go up.
As a Fulham fan, i'll be watching Boreham Wood really closely next season, they have been amazing. Respect to the club and players, a really exciting team to watch play.
Justice was done in the end. The penalty should have been retaken anyway as half of the Boreham Wood team were encroaching when the ball was kicked, including the player who cleared it after the keeper had knocked it away.
Im a liverpool fan and my grandad is a county fan so i said id join him for this match and what a match it was 2-0 down first half then brilliant comeback and that jones is a great player hope ya get him in the summer and brilliant fans too

I know the rules are the rules, and it's part of the greatness in the lower divisions of England. But it will be terrible if Notts County doesn't get promoted to the Football League with Wrexham. A season that in 99,9% of the years would lead them to go up as champions, with much advantage.
They deserved to go up. Became aware of their campaign due to the game against Wrexham, and watched that amazing game
That's part of the league, dont get favours for 2nd place rather finish first or do it the hard way
At least in the National League, finishing 2nd gave them a bye in to the semi final and and a home game in the semi. So some reward.
For me a person that supports Notts county, I was devastated at the end of the first half
But then at the beginning my of the second half they scored
I wanted them to score again but they couldn’t
Until they scored at the last minute of full time to go into extra time

What a great match! I've been following Wrexham but by following them, I've also gotten invested in some of the other National league clubs. Rooting for Notts County.
I think that's the main benefit of Wrexhams attention, it hasn't just brought eyes to them but it's given publicity to the entire national league which is underrated and has some properly historic clubs like Notts and Oldham

Liverpool fan here but follow lower leagues and I have to say Notts County deserves promotion! Would be such a cruel game if they didn't win at Wembley and to go toe to toe with Wrexham in the National League...wow! I don't get this ridiculous system of one going up and the other 2 in the playoffs...just what the heck??
Usually I support the teams that have never played in the EFL. But at least we'll have two big clubs at Wembley. Should be a great atmosphere.
Top Division Non-League football is surprisingly able to deliver such quality in both skill and plays. Genuinely looks on par or even better than some of the US football.

It's good too see a substantial crowd at a football game outside the football league ,I know it's a playoff match but it shows the sport is thriving down in the lower Leagues, there is a few sleeping giants down at that level who are emerging

@@extoast At least half of the Forest team will bail out when they go down as this season's signings will have made sure that they had relegation release clauses in their contracts. Hopefully Everton will join Forest. It's a pity that West Ham aren't going down as well but Southampton are beyond saving.

Said it before, I'll say it again... at least put in the Italian promotion rule, if one playoff team finishes a certain number of points ahead of the others, they go up automatically and there are no playoffs.

For Notts County to be 36 points in front of a team that could potentially have stolen promotion, is where the play offs fail.
Lower to mid teams having something to play for is one thing, but to be twelve games behind is effectively a quarter of the season!
Nothing 'stolen' about winning promotion via the playoffs. In fact, it's what NC are going to have to do.
