I was approached once so I had to ask the guy why he chose me. He said something like, "Well, you're good looking and you're wearing the clothes." I was wearing jeans, tennis shoes and a shirt with a button down collar...common duds. I didn't know there was any significance. Live and learn. Nice fellow and I wished him good luck. Back to boat shoes, I guess.

I saw Lifeguard when I was 12. Sam Elliott has held my attention ever since. He has an incredible and unique screen presence. The fact that he was not overexposed has served him well. There's no one else like him, so his appearances in any project are always a welcomed treat.
My childhood friend and I went to the movies and watched Lifeguard 5 different times. We both claimed we loved Kathleen Quinlin, which was true. But it wasn't the whole truth for two 16 year old closeted viewers. We came out some 5 years later 😉
I love him as Mayor West in Family Guy!!! He filled in for Adam West as Adam's cousin after Adam West passed away in real life. I recognized his voice immediately 💯❤️

I remember the first time seeing Sam Elliott in the movie The Golden Compass and I fell in love with his voice. I saw him again in A Star is Born. It's a pity he always got minor roles, but he seems to be a very humble and down to earth gentleman. We need more people like him.

Its simple biology
Every good looking man gets propositions from other men often. That's not a secret or something to be amazed about.

I don’t hit on men despite being gay myself. If he had invited me for a drink after taking me to dinner, drink I would have!
He's always had a great voice. When his hair first turned grey/silver it enhanced what was already appealing. I'd stand in the 'I'll do him' line.
To me he always looked like the classic type from a 70's gay porno movie ...somehow I cannot get away from that image.
