As humanity continues to spread cross the globe, we have pushed animals further and further back into different habitats but something else is beginning to happen. The planet, is getting warmer. is it is? is it a natural cycle? Has someone left a heater running too long? Currently, its hard to tell. But one thing we know for sure, is that our species, may have the ability to change the trajectory of this outcome. By introducing gene manipulation into animals, we can make them more adept at dealing with the changes and maybe save a few species along the way. But what sort of creatures would this create? Lets discuss that in todays episode over Unnatural!

Just remember: there are some Inuit tribes in Canada who hunt polar bears with a single shot .22.
They sit on the ice and wait for it to rear up on its hind legs and roar, then aim for the roof of its mouth and fire. The round will go through the roof of its mouth but not out the back of the skull. The bullet sorta bounces around in its skull and the bear dies.

Russian sailors once tried to scare off an adult male polar bear off their sub after they had emerged from under the ice. The warning shot did not scare it. Then they shot at it with 10mm Makaraovs, and it ignored it even after getting hit with several shots. They resorted to a 12.5mm machine gun, thats roughly the same as a .50 cal Browning M2. That just pissed it off, and the bear started climbing the conning tower to get to the crew. They chose to go back inside and just submerge rather than try to fight an angry polar bear. They eventually found out the bear later died from its wounds, but it had lived long enough to travel about 20 miles, even with more than a dozen gunshot wounds. So even if you hit it with your eagle, unless you got a lucky shot to the eye and into the brain, it will most certainly live long enough to really make you wish you brought a hand grenade instead.
