- This exploit has been around for a month now & BHVR still haven't done anything about it. This video was recorded before the unreal engine 5 update & still in the 7.7.0 update you can do the potential energy exploit. This video will show you why potential energy should of been kill switched!

This bug has been there for 1 year and half but ppl just started knowing about it
That's what happens when you don't have a dedicated QA team that purposefully tries to break and exploit the game to give notes to the devs. Just have to rely on the community. I understand that it's spaghetti code, and there's so many ways to interact with the game that not everything would get fixed, but probably way less exploits would hit Live if they did.

I don't need this, I'm good without it. And my opinion: using exploits to win the game = boring and toxic to others (on both sides btw), using exploits to have fun and just fool around without being toxic to anyone = ok. But in the end all exploits should be fixed.

The gen you completed at 0:33 took about 65 seconds. Considering you would normally repair it in 90 seconds (on your own) and you were using a purple toolbox, is it that much of an improvement?

A few bug hunters knew about this in the knights ptb. And reported it silently to bhvr It's been a thing for a while it took nearly 2 years and streamers showing it off to get it fixed

That’s because strike accumulates tokens based on repairs so since you use a toolbox that increases repairs you gain tokens a lot faster
The point is that the toolbox isn't consumed at all when using it for potential energy. That's the issue.

I was working on Gen with another survivor yesterday and they did the same, but I didn't understand why they hopped on, activate potential energy, hopped off, then back on. Found it weird, but thought not much off it.
At this point bhvr should killswitch the whole game
BHVR randomly killswitching Nowhere to Hide due to a bug that no one has ever seen since summer 2023 FOR 42 DAYS.
And them not being able to killswitch more than 1 map or any of the bugged perks for survivors.

I ran into this lol. I was barely done with the intro camera pan, hell I was still on the tile I spawned on and a Gen popped off lol.
I can't decide if that was the exploit, or possibly a cheater. Because they would've needed time to reach a gen, plus the time it takes to use the exploit. Unless I misunderstood something.

I think I know what otz was complaining about in one of his recent videos when he was playing freddy and gens were popping like crazy
But he censored the perks so no one else could use the exploit

I remmember when I started playing about year ago at Hunted by Daylight event and game was so fun and balanced. Now it's super hard to catch atleast 2 survivors. Even total noobs kicks my butt. Hit me if they didn't got faster. I have to cross whole map to get just one hook

It is so pathetic when I have gone against players using this expoilt and still lose than having the audacity to get mad at me in end game chat for tunneling them out. Of course I am going to tunnel you out when I hear the audio cue from Potential Energy and see a Tool Box. I'm not oblivious to exploit going on.

70 seconds if you use the same toolbox/add ons and don't hit great skill-checks. Faster if you hit great skill-checks.

Complain to BHVR about UE5 issues, that's about all you can do. My friend needs to reinstall the game like every other day since his game would freeze up his more-than-capable PC every time he launched it, another friend with bad internet can't even play the game as his main (Blight) because he rubberbands backwards almost every rush. Every time i use lithe i get stuck on the other side of the window for like 0.3 seconds which is more than enough to get me killed and waste a good bit of distance. Ever since the UE5 "upgrade" it's nothing but issues everywhere
Don’t play until it gets fixed, that’s it. BHVR never ever rolls back matchmaking penalties even when it’s entirely their fault. Most you could hope for if for them to just remove the bans while they’re fixing all these issues, but likely they’ll just killswitch half of the game instead

@@jims7773 as far as I knew, this was only being publicly talked about by Otz, but even then he didn’t mention the perk or exploit process in order to raise awareness without making the exploit more common
It’s exploiting and can be bannable so report or tunnel whoever uses a toolbox with that perk
