- When turning on Philips TV it stays frozen on the Philips logo. called and was told that I needed software update is this true. Philips TV can only be turned off by unplugging it remote or side power button will not work.

Philips software engineers continuously improve the TV’s stability via software adjustments.
However, here are a few steps that could stop the reboots:
1. Unplug all devices
Unplug all devices connected to the TV. This includes set-top boxes, CI+ modules and hard disks.
If the TV continues to reboot, leave the devices disconnected and proceed with step 2
If the reboots have stopped, leave the devices disconnected and proceed with step 3
2. Restart the TV
• Unplug the TV from the wall socket for at least 1 minute after the LED light has switched off
• Switch the TV ON and leave the devices disconnected
If the TV continues to reboot , leave the devices disconnected and proceed with step 4
If the reboots have stopped, leave the devices disconnected and proceed with step 3

Got a funny story. So i had a Phillips that kept rebooting. I tried everything is this video as well as others, took the battery out of TV remote to make sure it wasn't that...It wasn't tried hard reset by holding down the power button for two mins , didn't work. Tried a bunch of other shit as well, eventually i wound up getting so frustrated that i threw the remote at the TV and ruined the screen. lol Mind you this TV was used in my man cave and i also have the same exact TV in my living room. So i get a new TV and I'm setting it up in my living room to test it before putting it in the man cave and i hook my NVIDIA shield to it ...Don't you know my living room TV started doing the same thing!!! Turns out it was the firestick remote that i use with my NVIDIA shield causing the rebooting issue! I took the batteries out of the remote and boom no more rebooting! I't didn't even dawn on me to check the Firestick remote because i haven't used it in a while! So if you have a firestick hooked up to your TV or use their remote with any other device i would suggest giving that a check before buying a new TV or smashing it like an idiot like i did.
This cured mine…disconnected all my boxes and removed the batteries from the STB, reconnected the mains and back to normal. 😊
Mate. I love you. Literally about to throw my TV out and I saw your post. The fire stick was plugged into mains, but not into TV. Unplugged the fire stick and took batteries out of the controller and voila. No more boot loop. You are a ruddy legend.

Hey Majestic, please unplug tv power cable for 10 minutes and hold power button for 10 seconds.
Now recheck the issues if same problem to that’s mean hardware issues. Incorrect voltage supply from psu. If you are expert in electrical circuits then open back cover and check any burnt components.
Otherwise call a repair man or send service centre.

For days ive been Iooking on the internet for solutions to my philips android tv, i installed usb with wipedatatool, i tried to do update from usb with original firmware, i tried to reboot, i tried to find the wipe data in the bootloader but it isnt there (i even tried 1-2-x-4 method) i can only choose REBOOT NOW or UPDATE FROM EXTERNAL but when i choose one of those 2 options i get a black screen with android laid on its back and saying NO COMMAND. I cant acces the tv with ADB neither because the usb debugging wasnt enabled before i lost acces to the tv. Its a Philips 7600 series LED I dont know what to do anymore help!

I did update in my 7600 series because the screen went black after logo dissapears when the update finished the black screen issue was solved and everything worked till i had to turn the tv off and on again it turns black again after philips logo at startup. Now i dont know how to get into systemrecovery there is no way i can enter systemrecovery holding the joystick down a menu appears that says boot now or download from externn devices but the joystick is not responding in the boot menu. I have read something about flashing the tv from pc does anyone know how to do this? I dont have the remote anymore
Phillip's tv turns on. Then it starts to channel up/down by itself. It goes to the menu display and the selections go up and down as if I was manually pushing the side buttons on the tv. I dont hv the remote anymore. It's almost as tho it is doing all of the button commands that were being pushed, just keeps going and going. Now it isn't responding to when I push a button, just keeps doing it's own thing. Please help. Thanks

It didn't work for me. The tv turns on with the logo screen but after 20secs, it shuts off. Any suggestions? I recently replaced the power supply board like 2 weeks ago and it's been working fine. Then it started shutting off and turning on randomly and now, it only turns on and shut off after 10-20secs.
Incorrect voltage supply from psu. So please check voltage on psu and main board.
Open back cover and check any bulge capacitor.

Low power supply from the power unit. May capacitor damaged. You need to repair the board or replace the power supply board.

Hi, I've got a bit of a different problem:
After I tried to update the software, the Philips TV tried to restart and now the Philips logo appears for like 5-10 seconds, after which the screen just goes black (it's still lit up). TV doesn't respond to the remote, neither to the built-in joystick button (red light flashes, but nothing happens). Seems like it must be some software issue, but when I tried to update the software with USB method nothing happens. Any ideas on how I can tackle this?
Had to send the TV to the local repair shop. The warranty had expired a month before the TV broke, but luckily they still took it in and repaired for free. Let's see how long it will last for...

@@justthefactsmaam321 basically, I rolled back to the previous version of firmware, installation via USB stick. Also have to refuse any software updates which the TV keeps offering. Great product, Philips - good job.

Did a factory reset on my Philips TV, to reset the blue tint, since I wasn't getting any results from the color boards. Now my TV will go through the installation process & the wifi set up, but it will not go pass the "loading" screen. Nothing I have tried has worked. Including the steps on this video. Did not work, I have never had any issue with any modern TV, with this being a common problem I would advise people to stay away from buying anything from Philips.

No luck with this on my 48PFS8109 :( Immediately when I plug it back in, the bootloop starts again (showing Philips screen for a minute or so, then going to semi-standby and then after a minute or so the Philips screen again). Any tips?

Nope. I have a Phillips mfr'd in 2021 and it just goes from its logo to black blank and back after moments despite attempting this fix several times, including with my batteries removed from the remote. It started exactly the day after I'd finished making the last payment on it.

Ho darian daniels, if this is happening due to incomplete firmware update of tv then update again to complete the update or install new firmware via usb drive.
If not work then unplug the tv power cable and after 3 minutes later plug it back. Switch on tv and recheck the issues if same problem then check hardware issues of main board.

1. Tv firmware failure to boot.
Solutions: install new tv firmware and unplug tv for 20 minutes
2. Incorrect voltage supply from psu or man board

My Philips Android TV starts up in developer? store? Service? Mode. There's a black background with AF44 in giant red letters in the middle of the screen. On the left is from the top:

While I don't have the original remote, I do have a Phillips replacement remote
The only thing I've been successful at doing is exiting that screen and getting a full red screen which then changes into green, then blue, then white. Gotta say, I am over it.

EDIT: 5 min later, it finally made progress where the input popped up but then black screened and is frozen on that again
ANOTHER EDIT: about another 5 min after that, it turned itself off and so I turned it back on and started back from square one

Thank you. I have now tested if the fault was caused by the Sky box (which we have had since 2004), but it wasn't, as I plugged in my spare, smaller TV into it and it is working fine. So the fault must lie with the Philips TV itself. It is in a permanent state of reboot looping, which is very annoying. We have the set for four years, and this is the first problem we have had with it. So do you reckon it needs an engineer visit?
