Hey! i was the annapolis in that 2nd game, unfortunately that wasn't one of my best days and i played a bit like a potato, but it was quite scary seeing those torps knowing that i moved just in time
I loved the british dd line (mostly jutland/daring). The ships are for winning matches than doing big dmg numbers. Fast smoke, heal,fast movement, fire power and singel torps shoot mode.
Not to mention British dd's have great acceleration and deceleration
They're maneuverable, but I wouldn't say they're fast. Jutland and Daring have 34 and 35 knot base top speed, which is pretty bad. They also don't get a speed boost.
Cossack and Daring are my two favorite ships, they are just so much fun to play
They did a similar collection for the pan-asian special commander. IIRC the way it was set up then (and hopefully is set up for this one) is that the number of truly free containers (from missions) are enough to finish the collection on average, and then there's more available for free currencies (fxp, coal, steel, etc.) so even if you get unlucky you don't need to pay dubs to complete the collection. The dub containers are only for it you *don't* do all the missions.
According to my math 66.6% of players will complete the collection in 77 or fewer containers, while 84 containers guarantee the completion, this all assumes optimal duplicate utilisation (i.e. not using them until you have enough to complete the collection)
@@gygugyguwhat do you mean guarantee? Given its a collection of 60, are you not looking at 119 for the absolute worst case scenario?
Specifically by the way is currently worded at the moment, it looks like extra collection pieces will be for doubloons or real money only, not for free currencies.
Watching PQ videos always reminds me of how the matchmaker tries to create the most un-fun games as possible
Especially at Tiers IX and X...what a mess/miserable experience those levels are.
MM is designed to be like that.
Not only that, but it almost seems to have a sick sense of humour too. Like, if you have a mission that requires you to do Defends or Captures, it keeps putting you in every other type of battle than what you need.
Or if you need potential damage, it keeps spawning you on a flank far from anyone else so it takes 3-4 games longer than had you just spawned mid.
@@vtr0104 of course it does that. Makes you play longer to achieve those goals, create more activity on the server. Provided you won't just uninstall in the process. ;)
This is so totally true. If I have an AA build ship, I'll never see carriers. I got the new Commonwealth Anti- sub cruisers and never see subs. For sure, if I bring out a smoke DD, I see multiple radar cruisers and cvs and subs. I remember I had a capture the base mission. I literally played 22 games in a row before I gave up because I never saw a A B C map, yes I actually kept tract on paper and my clanmates were with me and laughed.
Thanks for the video. I spend almost all my valuable coal on this ship. I play Jutland. It's a good Tier IX and satisfies the needs of a DD player. However, it's in the row behind the Kitakaze, Groningen, Fletcher, Black, Yugumo, and Chungmu. The American and Japanese treeships can carry a game without considering a Premium ship. British destroyers are vital, as you stated, but they become a fantastic protagonist in the hands of a good player.
ugh i uninstalled WoWs recently because the way they pushed monetary changes felt so predatory to me it took a lot of the fun from the game for me. but i still watch your videos because they are fun at least :D

Quit 3 years ago. Now I hate-watch it through amazing CZcamsrs like PQ. Makes it possible to appreciate the art dept without suffering WG's abusive gambling mechanics (conveniently cured by giving them your credit card info).
@@JohnSmith-cb6qx yep I think imma do the same. It just feels very hard to me to enjoy something when you get treated like cattle by the company. I know it sounds silly but then I'd rather play indie stuff where the devs love what they do and there's not some weird currency every other day. The you can't even play the game high tier without premium or you'll lose credits which is the wildest thing I've ever experienced in a game.. you get punished for playing basically lol

I was the same for 1.5 years now but couple of weeks ago decided to just play for fun. No premium time, no looking at mission requirements, no pressure = fun!
I have been playing wows for 6 years, players have always complained about the match making including myself. One day I looked at the game in a different light, from the perspective of the creator. How do you keep the game challenging for the player, and the only way to do that as the player gets better is to put them in more challenging scenario's. The only way to do that is to put the player in the game at a lower tier than the other ships. So if I am in a lower tier I now take that as a compliment that I am that good and just play the game with no stress.
I don't mind the +2 tiers, but too many games are total blowouts, 1 team having 2 ships left and other still 10 or 12, happens way too much. It's no fun that way, not even when being in the winning team imo.

You should really try AP in DD fights and when farming broadside targets with british DDs, it's totally worth it.
Problem in DD fights is that AP alpha on these British DDs aren't that great.

Oh yeah, i think that heavy ap skill for 2 points is better than demo expert becouse of that. Ap is really really strong
@@anidiot2818 improved isn't equivalent to never bounces which is HE. For 400 more alpha per shell, I'm not sure it's that useful. It's just for ships like Ragnar Elbing or Khaba or with heavy AP if you take it.
I am nearing the completion of the Somme event. And i have learned this. From the start dont use the double pieces. Complete the entire event. I just had exactly enough to complete it. If you use 2 doubles before i think you can at least spend 1000 gold on it. At this moment i have 21 doubles and 15 more containers to open. By using doubles before the event is over you create more chances to get a double. Wargaming is very eager to pick your pocket ..... sort of. Today got it and have never played with the Jutland but i like it. Not the best ship for every situation but the camo feels a bit Steam Punk like and you get a taste if you like the tier 10 DD. Again save the doubles untill last or you can grab your wallet.
Just gor ir a couple of hours ago, had about 21 duplicates and was able tobfinish and get the ship without spending a penny.

The reason you’re getting these tiny matches like the second game is because Superships are not particularly popular on NA, especially super CVs, so all it takes is one idiot to sit in queue for 5 minutes and the matchmaker just gives up and queue dumps them and makes a crap match. Honestly the queue should warn people it’s going to take a while and boot them to port if it takes to long rather than screw people over.
Better a small game than have super-CVs in your game!
I’d be happy with a premium Jutland! O7 PQ! I currently have the Lightening with a premium camo. Really like it. Becoming one of my favorite DD’s! Just wish their torpedoes had more range.

I have mine since yesterday. It was a hell of grinding. It has one gun more and love it. For me it was completely free.
For me the hardest was Spotting damage.

got it with just 3 hours left. 25 games in top 5 was just a grindy mission. Spotting damage for me was easy enough, I managed it while doing the sub flooding
To be fair, if I can get a premium Jutland for free, I'll take it. Jutland is one of those awkward ships that I'd like to play but can't be bothered (and can't really afford) to retrain a commander for, so having one that doesn't need that sounds good.
WG being lazy again , there was ARP Yamato , Kleber CLsomthig , B versions , now Somme , Grom = Blyskawica , and worst they polute pool of ships that will be avelible in SC & SG as there are more crapy ships to win :/
I wouldn't exactly call it lazy, considering the premium and special ships come with better economy, but i see your point to an extent due to the fact weegee sometimes can overprice things.

Copy paste ships are a good thing. Learning new meta at the speed WG is pumping out new ships is exhausting. Suckers who drop money on these techtree clones aren't getting better stuff than what you could get for free.

I would rather see that WG to like they done with Iowa , there is standard Iowa , Missouri with radar ,then Georgia with 6 guns , & Illionis with 12 guns and 7.4s reload (after mods) , I have 3 out 4 those ship and i like that , but how shitty must feel when you have Jean Bart and in BF you get Jean Bart B ? ... but buddy many those ships that you get for cash , you can get in SC or SG clone under other name without any special features , that is just shity !

Gambling wise there is no indication that Somme will get added to the SC pool. Gameplay wise the players get a free T9 premium with no impact to game balance (clone of Jutland).
Wargaming has ATLEAST a dozen premium ships in supertest, but noooo how dare they release one clone Jutland.
Stop gambling and you'll be less miserable.
These missions are crazy. How can they expect average player to earn 30 million credits in just first week? They seem to have some idea that average player earn that much credits... when we don't evne have any good economic bonuses nowadays... I mean, we are supposed to play submarine for 10 million credits and I have trouble motivating myself to play even one single game with that cancer class... My highest sub is T6, because I hate that class....
Bit of a late reply but the somme containers drop a large number of green boosters. Combine this with premium time and you'll get easily getting 200k a game. I skipped the sub credits mission until week 3 and combined it with the flood mission
If you play decently you can get 300k avg per game playing tier 8 and 9. Combine that with premium time you can get 500k-750k per game, especially if you find yourself in the top 3. Its steep, but doable. I got the Somme a few days before the time expiry and didn't play subs at all or without spending any real money. I personally like this kind of slightly skill wall because it means that poor players don't end up with even more high premium ships to potato in (as if there aren't enough of those already). I mean technically you can just pay for the containers but why get a freemium Jutland for money? But then there are brainless players that purchased AL Azuma so there is that lol.
The trade-in they proposed for next update is yet another way of trying to swindle people out of their better ships unknowingly to the players and only offering the junk premiums as option to buy, heck not even all the armory ships are options.
This is something players have been requesting for a while. It's a great way for players to extract value from ships they don't want, and the trade-in is completely optional.
I don't understand why you call this a "swindle". Did you not know it's optional?
Could you do a video reviewing tech tree gunboat DDs? I'm really struggling with which line to go down. I know that many people say thtta the Kleber is good. But I just can't shake the inconsistancy (that you have to hit a button to give yourself good dpm for 15 seconds). I love the open water gunboat style and I don't have any currency to get non-tech tree ships. A video about gunboats would be a really great help for me and others.
Kleber still has really good effective damage at 13-15km range without the booster, been greedy with only using the booster on dds and light cruisers, and gotten full games without reload booster with still some 200k+ damage. It's all about ballistics and fires.

Cool thing on Legends is your can't turn your AA off, so carriers can drop you no problem even in smoke.

I just got the ship and the camo doesn't look anything like yours. I wonder why mine looks like crap after all that grind. Did only the CCs get the pretty ones lol.
Honestly for me the only downside about these top tier RN DDs arethe torp range at high tier. I mean they could at least update them to 12km and reduce their damage a little bit in 2023... Other than that I love ALL RN DDs in the game.

Shouldn't you use the AP more in DD fights? Improved pen-angles and short-fuse AP really hurts.
Was going to say this, but then saw how crappy their AP alpha is comparatively. HE might still be the better choice for fires and to guarantee no overpens or bounces. Also only Druid has true short fuse AP.

Ought to get more XP etc. in a Tier IX vs. Starship game. Percent of damage model against battleships worth more hit points than some continents is just not fair.

Just finished grinding her for free took her out into coop for a spin she is not bad for a free prem ship at tier 9 and then i have not started my grind for darting yet but she feels nice to play but if you did get the chance to get her get her for free do not waste real money

It does get an extra gun, not quite copy paste. Jutland only has 5 guns.
It's a copy of the fully upgraded version, which does have the 6th gun as well.
My last 18 somme containers were 17 duplicates which forced me to play the sub missions this game is so rigged. The stupid get 90,000 flood damage took forever.

Why do you care? Just don't buy it if you aren't interested, but Somme was an actual cancelled Battle-class. I won't spend any money on it either, but I can appreciate possibly getting a T9 premium economy and captain trainer ship (and a good looking camo) for free.

My gripe is that they deliberately sabotage the fun of the game to force people to open their wallets. They put in enough effort to give the game a fun facade, then hold the fun hostage to turn a profit, creating a community of masochists clamoring to throw cash at their sadist. Other games do this to a smaller degree but WG takes it to the extreme, hence why it bothers me.

@@JohnSmith-cb6qx I appreciate your thoughts on how WG operates in general, but we're speaking about this ship (Somme) specifically. A clone techtree ship is probably one of the least damaging addition to the game possible, and you can get it for free w/ premium benefits.
We've gotten Tashkent '39 and Jager as new, free event ships simultaneously. I missed the coupon deadline on Jager and still got her at no monetary costs.
There is literally no reason to be complaining.
Not gonna be able to complete the grind..it’s crazy how much WG forces you to try and pay up. No way am I gonna pay doubloons for the remaining containers though..maybe if it comes back as coal containers but for now, I’m just tired of the grinding
