When a driver intentionally lies about the cause of an accident, that person should face additional charges, for lying to the police.
Most times they can catch a charge. filing a false police report.
@@scottshep8978nah, there is rarely, if ever, charges filed for lying to the police or insurance for most accidents. The drivers causing most of them always lie, if their insurance (assuming they have any) believes it can reduce their liability, they’ll ascribe blame to the other driver, hoping there isn’t enough evidence otherwise, therefore, get a dashcam!

I watched that clip and came straight to the comments to see if someone saw it that way too! This guy clearly tried being a tool but ended up in the ditch where he belongs instead!! There was tons of time and room to adjust for the truck making a wide turn
@@ryanm4013 you can hear his tires spin when he loses control and almost hits the truck. Although the truck could’ve waited or pulled into the right lane, I still think it’s the cammers fault.
The other guy is still at fault for driving over a red without stopping for oncoming vehicles when turning right. Yes, the reaction of the cammer was stupid as well, but the situation was caused by the white truck.
@@rene837 I do think the other guy is wrong for blowing the red, but it looks like the cammer had just gotten their green and was accelerating from a stop. Had they kept their accelerator where it was, there was no situation at all. The cammer chose to floor it and try to drive around the truck, the truck did not cause them to do that at all.

I agree! He was angry that the truck had made a late turn, gunned it to go around him (probably to brake check him), and lost it on the wet road. Totally his own fault. They just can't accept reality.

@@jimbotime123There was a car stopped in front of him, past that driveway, and a lot of the streets and driveways where I’m at have “KEEP CLEAR” painted on the road so you’re not supposed to block the intersection by any means, also I think it’s statute that you’re not supposed to pass a car that’s stopped for this particular circumstance but I think it only applies to marked crosswalks when a pedestrian is crossing. Either way it’s shared fault.

The craziest thing about that Fresno intersection is that you can go to Google Maps and see that it's just a normal intersection. Not confusing in the slightest, clear sight lines, clear signals, everything.

Put stepping on the gas with rear-wheel drive? bald tires? is what caused you to crash. @@Procrastinator1948 While the guy who pulled out in front wasn't the sharpest tool in the box the dashcam driver got themselves into the ditch by too much right foot and not enough traction on a wet road - they avoided the vehicle that turned perfectly, then snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.
The guy at the 15:40 mark was in the wrong by pulling out in front of the car but the driver of the car wiped himself out by being foot heavy while going around him.

2:50 tahoe wanted to turn but was going in too hot. You can see his wheels locked up which is why he avoided rear ending the car in order to get t boned. Long story short slow down in icy snow. People drive way too fast in this mess and wonder why they cant stop

The SUV in #44 (16:58) was not only going too fast and turning at the last second, he also ran a red light! This is what's known as "not paying attention", an affliction far too many drivers seem to have.
Clip #47: Why was the cammer crossing the center-line? The car ahead clearly was signaling a left turn.

#8...The airbags didn't deploy because the impact didn't hit the sensor for the airbags. Since you said that a 2017 Jetta can take a hit, I'm imagining that's a good thing that they didn't go off because that's another $1500-$2000 per airbag if they had deployed. You should be thanking your lucky stars they didn't go off.
Yeah airbags are amazing if you need them, but it will cost a fortune if they go off.
Also which fucking intern design most of these crossings? Left turn while the opposite direction has green lights is just asking for trouble.

So many of these videos that the cammer/submitter is lacking situational awareness and could have prevented a crash by using good sense and honing his driving skills.

You also chose to aggressively illegally pass in an intersection which resulted in your car spinning out. You are clearly someone who shouldn’t be driving, and this highlights that. You had enough time to brake, which you did. However just because they didn’t ‘accelerate fast enough for you’ doesn’t mean that the accident was in any way their fault. You need to realize that you were in the wrong.

That one intersection in Fresno CA is cursed, or something. Seen probably more than a dozen different crashes filmed there just recently.

That was the end of the required action, but at 15:38 cammer made a stupid little dick decision, to step on the gas and speed around the truck. This decision which was made after the fact is what caused the cammer to crash.

I hope they'll finally do something about that intersection. It shouldn't take someone dying to address this kind of thing. The camera that catches all of the crashes there isn't even a city camera, it's owned by an older couple who live there; they just decided to keep one of their personal security cameras pointed at the intersection. Civilians shouldn't have to do that shit, the city needs to get off their ass and get more enforcement at that intersection.

15:40 Clip 40 - You can clearly tell that the idiot with the dash cam footage, was mad that the person turned right, so it swerved around and accelerated to hard. Causing it to lose control, and as driver was not competent enough to corrective steer to avoid the tail fishing..
That accident is due to the ignorance of the person with the dash cam.. not entirely on the truck..
I'm betting that the video starts just after the light turned green from red, which is why the truck started turning, because the car was not moving yet...

49. “Smart” car technology is far more dangerous than it is helpful. I shuttle rental cars all over Colorado and have had some really stupid things happen because of lane-keeping and braking assist features. Shoot, even the auto start-stop on my personal vehicle is potentially dangerous for similar reasons to what this Tesla driver says - if someone was about to rear-end me (or for any other reason I needed to accelerate from a dead stop *right now* ) it takes a full second for the engine to re-start and acceleration to be possible after taking my foot off the brake pedal; that one second could be the time I’d need to escape the situation.
Fortunately no wrecks. Yet.

0:25 When trying to avoid an accident it's always best to merge in the shoulder of your lane and not the shoulder of the other lane (unless unsafe). That way instead of 2 cars criss-crossing each other or 2 cars ending up in the same shoulder if you merge in your own shoulder your more likely to avoid an accident and less likely to be redeem at fault no matter who caused to crash.
8:40 There is no doubt the driver who lost control is to blame, however the "lady on the right" was going just as fast in unsafe conditions.
15:38 Totally the cammers fault. Truck stayed in his lane and cammer gunned it on wet roads, impatient to get around the truck and lost control.
18:02 Again, cammers fault. Going too fast and impatient to get around sedan making a legal left hand turn. Not insurance fraud.
The white truck in the 15:38 clip made a right turn on red unsafely, and turned into the left lane instead of the right lane. That is what initiated the problem. The ego/road rage and ill-advised acceleration on a slick road by the cammer merely compounded the error and made the ultimate result far worse. Simply backing off the throttle and not trying to "teach a lesson" to the idiot in the white truck would have probably avoided the collision. Plenty of idiocy and blame to go around in this one...

The car went halfway over beyond the barrier before the driver corrected his course. Could easily have gone the other half past it.

Are you serious? He veered into oncoming traffic to avoid a collision that was remedied on its own… they’re both idiots.
The hellcat actually caused the crash in the end by crossing into the wrong lane.

Hey I am genuinely curious, how come stoplights are sometimes switched to the flashing light mode to indicate stop signs? There is an intersection like #33 near where I live and I thought it was a malfunction at first and ended up just taking a right turn and detouring (I needed to turn left but was concerned someone would not heed the flashing lights).
At least where I live most of the stop lights start blinking at 11:01pm until 5:29a.m. every night.

Video 8 @ 2:50 I saw that coming from miles away ! Driver filming was going way too fast for those king of slipery road.
and why would he think speed should cause the airbags to trigger? Violence of impact is what counts. Tapping someone while going 55 shouldn't/wouldn't deploy airbags.
Going fast towards an intersection you cannot oversee. With that speed he would have flashed by those 2 cars. This could have been avoided.

My Honda Clarity complains and jiggles my steering wheel on curves turning right when it sees oncoming traffic and thinks a collision is imminent. Last thing I need is a safety feature CAUSING an accident that wouldn't happen if it just STFU. I drive a bit slower on curves just to adjust for that.
At least a third of these "pull out in front of you" accidents could be avoided if the cammer would simply brake AND steer around the stopped obstacle!

11:19 It's accidents like this that I find so annoying. You're at a 4-way stop intersection, you know you have the right of way, and you see a car coming in hot. You should acknowledge the possibility that they're about to do something stupid and just hang back a sec to see what happens. You're about 98% certain they're going to run the stop sign and hit you if you go.....so...you go anyway? If I was the judge for that one, I'd put blame on both of you. They run the stop sign, but you took no action at all to prevent the collision, in fact you knew there would likely be one, and you made it happen. Come on people, swallow your pride and just let them go.

We have become way to lax in our enforcement of the law! People who lie about the cause of an accident by blaming the innocent Victim, should be locked up for a year to think about their treacherous ways! You cause an accident, and then blame the person you hit! That deserves jail, doesn't it?👍😎✌🗽

I totally agree.... And no the driver that was hit by the tow truck was killed... I don't know if it was a, she was killed on impact or shortly after, scenario.... She was young too, I think 22....
