- Before the 250 special we are back in Doncaster and what a wonderful way to end a week in a village that I know a lot of you have been waiting to see for a while.
How many parishes out of the 10,449 can say they hold an annual wheelbarrow race? I wouldn't think there are many, and there certainly aren't any others in South Yorkshire (that I know of anyway - there are still parishes to visit so I could be wrong on that!)
There are a multitude of things to see here too. Take the old water pump for example, restored and rebuilt by Doncaster Council. How about the Ruddle Centre, home of a football club that's only been around since 2016? If a good scenic view from an actual viewpoint is your thing, the tiny village out to the West within the parish boundaries has you covered.
Beautifully adorned with colour through the summer, it still looks pretty in the winter, with the old stone houses and buildings, and landmarks covered in snow. Yes, there are some perilous narrow junctions for motorists, and the lack of a village shop isn't ideal, but one things for sure, everybody I've spoken to about this one absolutely loves it.
Why wouldn't you, when you see what's on offer in BRAITHWELL.

You want to look again. Braithwell is 100% Doncaster Council.

There isn't a dentist it is a doctors surgery.

Haha yeah I had a comment on Facebook about that. I must be blind, I could've sworn it said "Dental". Never mind though, it can all be cleared up in Part 2 :D
