Jimmy - I am a fan of yours that once thought I'd be an airline pilot - but life got in the way of the dream time after time. I was successful enough to get my Instrument SEL license in 2002. In 2004 I bought a brand new T182T ( flow it from the factory home) and flow it for a while up and down the east coast. My medical expired after spending 4 years in Afghanistan and I just gave up and sold my plane in 2014. Since then I have longed to get back into flying and recently watch your videos with inspired admiration. Thanks for inspiring that little boy in me now at age 62. I use to fly my family all the time. The love of flight is born in us. Blessings.
I had the pleasure of taking a few of the kids from Swan Aviation Ministry on there first Young Eagles Flight a couple of weeks ago. They were very well mannered and fun to be around. To see the excitement on there faces was worth every minute of it. Great organization!!
from 12-15 years old, i flew in Iowa's Civil Air Patrol. Never made license but oh boy, the flight time! Never could afford to complete training but i LOVE your channel for supporting learning young! Not to mention your aquisitions and restorations! Keep em coming Jimmy!!!

I flew a 50's Luscomb joystick. LOVED that plane! LOL I remember making my glider pilot puke for telling me to turn around into the wind to climb.....so naturally i rolled it upside down and pulled up to half loop into the wind!

Also flew as a cadet in the Civil Air Patrol and I loved every minute of it. I flew nearly every week for several months bc the other cadets didn't care to fly as much. Good times!
Flew as a cadet in the UK Air Training Corps for many years , flying DHC-1, Bulldog and later Grob 115e. Even qualified solo on a Venture TMG (SF25e). Stayed on as a instructor for 30+ years. So getting kids in the air, for me, is a brilliant idea.

Jimmy, I have throughly enjoyed following your channel! I flew back in my High school days (1967-68) and a little bit post highschool. But life lead me a different direction, however I've always been intrigued with flying and airplanes. Cancer has closed the door on my flying again (along with some other activities). you are creating the best memories for your sons. One of my earliest memories is sitting in the back seat of a PA-11 in late summer. I was looking down the underside of the starboard wing looking at the reflection of long pasture grass. I heard my father applying power and it seemed like we floated upwards almost immediately.

I work with kids from unfortunate backgrounds as well getting them exposed to the very cool methods and processes in advanced manufacturing. One of the areas I point them to is the aeronautics manufacturing opportunities. Having Pratt & Whitney literally right next door to the university as well as them having an advanced composites lab right inside our facility (and my father having been the President of one of P&W’s divisions), it has given me a unique opportunity to expose these kids to seeing a future of possibilities they never imagined would be available to them. Without question one of the most rewarding activities I have ever engaged in. When you know you have connected with these kids, the transformations can be incredibly satisfying. When they clearly display their obvious change in motivations, you know very well that you made an impact that will probably change their life. Awesome and again, very rewarding. Good for you folks for what your doing. 👍🏻😎👍🏻

This has become my favorite channel to watch. Starting my flight training now and I got to say watching you go and find these airplanes is fun to watch. This is probably my favorite plane to date just based off the colors and paint look so good. Im in Florida myself up in pensacola. If you ever get up this way it would be neat to meet you.
