By removing the rear baffle of the sel16f28 you can use it in full frame on a a7 series. But to remove vignetting use clear image zoom 1.2x.
That's pretty neat! If only I had a full frame to test it on 🥲
I just bought a used 16 2.8 with the adapter for 100US. I can't wait to use it. I have the sigma 16 too but it's too heavy to lug around. Will be my studio cam. Really a bargain at that price.

Does the adapter work on the Sigma 16 1.4 for sony e mount?
No unfortunately. The sigma is too big, and even if it fit the optics wouldn't align properly

I'm glad the video helped you out! I'm sure if you Google "SEL16F28 ultrawide converter" you'll be able to see what is most available to you. I bought mine years ago used on eBay so I'm sure you'll find it somewhere!
Is the converter compatible with the kit wins on the Sony Zv e10?
I don't believe the thread size is the same. I was able to attach it to my 50mm f1.8 from Sony, but the lens wasn't able to focus properly. Hope that helps!
I just bought full frame a7c and got this lens from nex 5n, going to use this lens with a7c as you don;t lose video quality, but the photo quality will go down to 10MP though.

hHey nice informative video. One question concerning the autofocus for video with the sony 16mm. Does it hunt all over the place or is it acceptable for face tracking ect. thanks.
I found Sony's to work just fine for autofocus. I do notice some exposure issues but I bought it secondhand so it was probably slightly damaged when I got it. Glad I could help!
I actually prefer the pancake lens over the sigma for vlogging because the sigma is too sharp and shows a lot of imperfections on the skin tones. Meanwhile the cheap pancake lens is softer and less sharp.
it all depends and what style you like 🙃
@@streetlegends I typically use it for photography so the sharpness is nice! And I'd personally rather have sharper and soften in post than vice versa
