- More Metallica for you die hard fans. I hope you enjoy this one. Like I've said so many times, I'm not sure whether I prefer THE 'Ride The Lightning' album or 'Master Of Puppets'. They both seem to have some amazing songs on them! Anyway, here's my reaction to hearing Metallica - Fight Fire With Fire' for the first time. I hope you like it!

These guys were in early 20s writing masterpieces that are still relevant nearly 40 years later.
Exactly
A lot of metal bands wrote their masterpieces in their early 20s too. Some even did when they were teenagers.
@@MarkusSsZsome even as toddlers
@@CoboProdzSome even as tadpoles
They were 20 when this album came out
So they prob started writing it when they were 19
No need to apologise for listening too much Metallica, mate!! NEVER ENOUGH 'TALLICA!! They rule!!
Yeah 🤘
Mandatory Metallica! Still on my weekly play list since when I first heard them in highschool in 1985.
The look of disbelief on this cat is priceless every time.
No doubt, METALLICA in the 80s was the gods of metal, his music was incredible and unique, the best of the best.
Yep. Metallica was the only metal band in the 80s.
I was 14 when this album dropped and I still love it. We listened to this constantly as teens. Amazing that metallica was in their early 20s at the time.
I was 13 and it changed my world
Picture this- these guys were still in their teens writing some of the most iconic metal music ever created and they were so good that their music made it around the world during a time where there was NO social media or radio play. It was word of mouth back then especially for metal. We learned about bands like this from metal magazines then ozzy took them on tour and they fully exploded to the masses. Ozzy has been quoted as saying that they kicked ass every night and it was hard to follow them.
Exellent comment
You can never go wrong with Metallica my dude. Wicked riffs, the smoothest transitions, crazy energy, and unbelievable musicianship. IMO…the best metal band of all time, easily and without question.🤘
Very, very, agree great comment
I've always loved the transitions and the way it flips your mood and energy on a dime. Metallica and Megadeth both have off the chart musicianship and music craft. Too bad Mustaine couldn't keep it together enough for them to continue to create together.
Im 54 bought this album when first came out and was enthrawlled with and still am
Just turned 55. My kid got me Metallica tickets for my birthday. Saw them live for two days in November. I felt like a teenager again.
@@michaelevans1578 Iknow you mean,good times
@@RickSmith-tb8xr Yup. Good times, indeed. Plus, my son was glad to see Metallica with his old man.
this was the first metallica song I ever heard in the 1990s. a roommate of mine had a boombox with a timer on, put in the cassette, and this song would crank out loud at 6 am waking everyone up.
Both my bros had boomboxes😂😂
@@mztweety1374 I still have mine from 30 years ago.
@@Seadansr1let me seee 😂
The harmonies between James n Kirk are Phenomenal!!! The down strokes by James Hetfield are OUTRAGEOUS! This is pure Fire!! 🔥 you gotta check out this live SOFI Stadium 3 months ago!! Insane!❤🎸🤘🤘
Have you seen the metal hammer fest 85 performance?
The harmonies are just James, and there is hardly any downpicking in this song... but apart from that yeah 😁
Every time I listen to this album, I think "My God, this is the best album ever!" Then I'll listen to Master of Puppets and I'll think "This is the best album ever!" And thats the ways its been with me since the mid 80's.
Get out of my head!!
Justice enters that chat
The same for me, then I listen Justice and I think "now, they're on absolute top".
Dont forget the best Metallica song is from this album. Its called The Call Of Ktulu.
My fav metallica 😎
A great lead over a great guitar rhythm! Thats the classic metallica formula.
With Metallica, I always loved rythmic guitar when solo's playing. So cool !
I discovered Metallica with this album. 40 years later I've never forget how it smashed my brain !
Next is Ride the Lightning, with one of the best guitar solo's that kirk has ever done.
Imo it is THE best Metallica solo but would wanna hear yout fav too m8
Now you know why this band was groundbreaking in every respect when they emerged and very fast became THE most loved underground band ever before they went into eternal stardom reigning and dominating the World of Music 🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘🤘…..geniuses and the definition of LEGENDS 🔥🔥🤘🤘
The song still gets me pumped up the same exact way it did 35 years ago. 🤘🏽😏🤘🏽
I remember listening to when it came out. Someone got an advanced copy and there were 8 of us in a friends basement in Berkeley listening to it for the first time. We were mesmerized as it opened. It threw us off with the intro, then it goes into this all out thrasher. This song was a continuation of Kill "Em All, and then as the album proceeded we saw the growth of the band. Kill "Em All, Ride The Lightning & Master of Puppets.... every song is a banger.
I fell in love with the second part of the solo since childhood and to this day it is my favorite
this was my First Metallica song as well back in 1985 and it blew my mind.
I'm looking fwd to other bands but Metallica is ALWAYS awesome...!
Great comment
So cool to see someone having brand new experiences of songs I grew up with! Great as always, sir.
I saw them 4th time. I'm 24 and i will continue this Band Trip. They are my life ^^
Strong suggestion for your next Metallica reactions: Four Horsemen... and Fade to Black.
You won't regret it, partner. I promise. But do the studio (album) versions for the best epicness.
he's reacted to fade to black already, but good suggestions, four horsemen is a great song
This was the 1st song I ever heard by Metallica. I was NOT ready.. YET. I slowly grew to like & then love & then obsess over them. They became my favorite band of all time!! I was 15 years old when I first heard them. I just turned 50 & I'm still listening all the time bruv!!! Thanx for appreciating the best band of all time
It was my first as well! It blew my head off!! I was an instant fan!
The song Ride the Lightning is a bagner!!🤘🤘
This whole LP is fire and should be done in its entirety and then followed by Master of Puppets
8th grade trip from Las Vegas to Washington DC and my metal head friend was rocking out to something. He gave me his headphones and said check this out. First Metallica song I ever heard and my jaw was on the floor of that airplane! Blew my friggin mind!
This is my fav metallica 's album. I like even less popular tracks like "escape" or "trapped under ice". Master of puppets is easily everyone's fav at first, but then listening more and more other records, it can happen that your personal taste will drive you on another album
This was the first Metallica song I ever heard, aged 10 or 11 in the early 90s. And I knew I HAD TO hear more things that sounded like this. Never looked back
This song was the very first time that i have listened to Metallca.I liked it very much,so i bought the whole Album,,in 1986.The price was -today price= 4 Euros
I said before I say it again, my favorite album by Metallica ever
I just realized I'm trying to relive my youth watching these videos
Metallica is the only one! There will be no more of them in the world. Remember bro. And go to their concert while they're still playing. MetallicA forever ❤
Can't stop won't stop need more Metallica
Those parts of the guitar solos you dig are actually both guitarists soloing in unison in different modes of the same scale. I agree.
Drums are insane on this!! And the guitar solos are sick!!
Back in my early teens in the late 80s I would throw on headphones and jam Kill, Lightning and Master and just rock out for hours until the early morning hours....this went on for years and stll does today on occasion 🤟🤟🤟
This is the best of thrash in a nutshell
My favorite song, lifelong fan in my 40s
Ha love this … I had to rewind that a opening a million times it blew me away and is still one of my favs to just giver
Saw them play this live way back in 1984!!
Woooooo Got my daily dose of Metallica. Great reaction great song thanks for that! 40 years and still getting my daily fix of Metallica! Later🤘🏻
The first three albums are an era, no need to separate them.
You just thought they were going to slow down that reaction was priceless
Just letting you know, we still want more Pink Floyd, the wall the whole album
That's their fastest song...fucking love it!!!!
Bro I truly believe what you’re saying. I made a comment on the last Metallica video now I’m about to see the future of the channel 🤞🏻
Your reactions ...I like them, they make me smile....Welcome to the Metallica Family 😄
This song was my first exposure to Metallica and really metal, in general. My brother taped it off onto a cassette and told me to listen to it. It was unlike anything I’d ever heard. I bought Justice soon after and by the time of the Black Album, I had all their albums.
This in my 9yr old son’s favorite Metallica song
The sound at the end, its called a dive bomb. Its a beautiful sound achieved by a floyed rose tremolo and some good timing.
You should check out the songs "Wherever i may roam" by Metallica and "Floods" by Pantera 🔥🔥🔥
^^^FLOODS!!! Yes!
Loving it. I've said it before a dozen times but reactions really make me hear songs for the first time in decades!
Totally agree 👍
This is a revolutionary album, its crushes your head and shoots you in the heart and want some more. MOP is a refinement of that thematic format.
That harmony in the middle 🤘❤
Great song! Great reaction! Can't go wrong with any of the early Metallica! Looks like you have a plan for upcoming reactions, but like quite a few other people here I highly recommend doing some Pantera. Early stuff to start. "Cowboys From Hell" and "Walk" would be good jumping off points. Megadeth is badass too! Dave Mustaine was the original guitarist of Metallica until he got the boot and formed Megadeth. Anything off of their Rust in Peace album would be a good start for them. Keep rocking man!!
Fade to black from the ride the lightning album is phenomenal ❤🔥
Waiting for that reaction
He's already done it. 🙂
@@tallycahamuhlhetru26 yeah but live
it's a pleasure to watch you enjoy this music
I witnessed this album....I felt like the gauntlet was thrown down..... daring others to challenge. 🤘🔥
As difficult as it may seem, this is my favorite Metallica song despite never hearing it live with Cliff.
I picked this album at random from a full page ad with 16 new releases on it because the title and cover looked cool.
Brought the tape home, popped it in, this was the first song you'd hear. It was the fastest thing I'd ever heard in my life.
I am so happy you did this song
Greatings from Portugal, Molly! 47 years old metalhead here and still today I can't say wich one of RtL or MoP is the best album...
Cheers mate, keep rockin' . Peace
Metallica - Bleeding me
1st time I saw Metallica was June of 1984 the day after I graduated. I was 17 and had bought a compilation album with Metal Militia on it. The show was in downtown Frankfurt Germany so we ate at a fastfood place and walked to the show. Looked behind me and the guys we sat next to at the Wendy's were carrying guitar cases and went in the side door. They were the warm up band for Twisted Sister. Anyway, talked to them after the show and got their autographs on a Jump in the Fire poster. In the early days they were metal fans just like us.
If you notice MB...on the album cover...the lighting that are coming down striking the ground from a giant "M"...
✌️❤️🤘...
The best thing about going to the shows is that Metallica would play songs off their up and coming next album so you would hear them first.
they were all about 21 and 22 years old when they dropped this album in 84. Think about that! The mastery in which play their instruments at that age.
Your reactions are great bro, keep it up for the younger generations! 💪🏻🤘🏻
I am the man !!!! ANTHRAX.......C'MON MATE DO IT!
I'm so excited for this one ! You ain't ready lol jk have fun bro
Those intros = The calm before the storm.
In the same vein I can't further suggest you the song "A fine day to die" by Bathory! Pure Fire.🔥
Ta for your refreshing and honest reviews mate! Cheers 🏴
My man ! I am a Taurus as well , May 12th is my bday brov . And I swear you look and resemble one of my old best friends who passed away . Its crazy . But keep up the good work and you will get there . More Pantera please . And no one ever reacts to Exodus one of the biggest thrash bands of the 80s . Try their vid for Toxic Waltz .
Yeah, choosing between Ride The Lightning and Master Of Puppets is super tough, those are my 2 favorite Metallica albums, heck, just having one album ranked above the rest can be challenging because of how many 10/10 albums they've released
Keep doin your thing youngin’. Happy to have you in the family 🤘
Appreciate that
The whole album is a master piece, try later the garage days re-revisited album, some insane bands covers is there!
One of my all time favorite Metallica songs!
One of my faves.
I prefer Ride the Lightning. Its close though
Pantera are another band that usually bring the feels.
Please, when you react to - Cemetery Gates, one of their best, be sure to do the full 7 minute version. 👌🤘
Also check out Rammstein doing Du Hast, in Paris. If you want views/subs.
I personally would concentrate more on enjoying the process, listening and learning, having fun, than chasing subs.
You're doing well, don't over think it, just carry on as is and let eveything tick along in the background. 😉
Appreciate your videos, man. Peace ✌️
U are awesome to watch since i did this 30-35 years ago when my big brother brought home this shit on vinyl. Metallica, slayer, agent steel, venom, bathory etc. Only we couldn'r film it. Thanx!
This song just kicks ass! Nothing else to say!
The guitar solo sound you like is... spooky yet proper..... Sometimes sounds wicked....
But it is always fitting for the song.🤘😎🤘
Fight fire with fire! FIGHT!
Great Metallica reactions!!!
I highly recommend Lux Aeterna! Great song done in classic Metallica style with a cool video.
I've only had the chance to see Metallica once. They played this. When I heard that intro start I screamed "YES!" So loud I blew out my voice. Not that anyone could hear me because Metallica is in the top 5 loudest bands I've ever heard. Like so loud your bones vibrate as if you are sitting in a massage chair.
This riff is like its death metal stuff
Metallica,Megadeth,Black label society all phenomenal Bands
You need to watch Cliff Burton's second gig. March 19 , 1983, at The Stone in San Francisco.
Please do Pantera albums !! You’re videos are sick and I’d think you’d like their heavy ass music especially the album ‘Vulgar display of power’
Yessss!!!! That's my favorite of theirs! It was Vinnie Paul's fav too! Saw him say that on an episode of "That Metal Show"
Still need to watch The Thing That Should Not Be live in Seattle 1989. AND Stevie Ray Vaughn Texas Flood live at The El Macambo.
this is thrash metal for you this song is FIRE!! thank you for sticking to always react to Metallica there is no band like them they are the best it’s set in stone and settled. I recommend you listen to The Four Horsemen if you want to hear horses galloping but through guitars and Metal Militia of their first album Kill ‘Em All
Metallica found sweet spot of thrash
You absolutely have to check out the title track on this album!!!!!
Ahh, the days - no internet, no mobile phones. Learned about the new albums coming out in mags - metal hammer, Kerrang, Raw etc… sometimes lucky enough to get a flexi disc stuck to them, I still have loads of them! A few years later than this album but, anyone here remember Krushers Cosmos on Raw Power, then Noisy Mothers? ‘I looked into a bullseyes eye and much to my surprise I saw a bullseye!’ 😂 Also, ‘Things worth going into your mummys purse and steeling those crinkly bits of paper for’ - then he told us of new releases. There was something far more exciting and special queuing for a new LP that you had no clue how it was gonna sound rather than waiting for a download date for something that’s already been leaked somewhere anyway. Not all progress is progress 😢
80’s metallica man..
Fight🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 w/ Fire!!
hello brother i need a vodka from my listing Metallica song you so proud whith him
People sometimes don't actually know what " thrash " is. Songs like this one, or Trapped Under Ice...or even Hell Awaits by Slayer are perfect examples.
You must watch For Whom the Bell Tolls live at the day on the green. Maybe on Cliff Burtons birthday
The best Metallica song
Oh shit i dono how i missed this reaction. I love their beautiful acoustic intros that transition seemlessly into extremely heavy, thrashy riffs. Goddamn metallica is great
