The type of food matters immensely. Foods high in fiber will keep you full the longest but foods high in fat will prevent weight loss. I haven't heard this in a few years now, but it used to be said that 80% of fitness is diet and only 20% is exercise.

I like how you keep it simple. Walk 10K steps a day, strength training 3 times per week, and avoiding too much added sugar in your diet. There's nothing complicated about that.

I got motivated and I work out almost everyday, largely thanks to you, but I very often lose the battle with myself and eat something trashy that hampers my progress, that I realize I could have done without. Really the hardest battle is in your mind.

My daily calorie target -1800 calories protein-120g
Say I have 500grams of chicken =650 calories when cooked
I have 2 toast with butter = 400 calories
So that’s 1050 calories. My question is do I need to eat my remaining 750 calories or Not since I have hit my protein target for the day ???

i have a question in terms of my diet, so i do the intermittent fasting because im used to it, but the foods that im taking is making me question if its correct, so im here to ask everyone's opinion if this is a good diet plan or nah.
So for my breakfast, ill have a bowl of salad (consists of cucumber, tomatoes, and bell pepper), 2 boiled eggs, coffee with a bit of sugar, and 2 slices of whole wheat bread.
During for my lunch, ill have chicken, one egg (scrambled) and 1.5 cup of rice.
For snacks, im just having an orange and a banana and i skip dinner.
And for my exercise, 30 min cardio (skipping ropes) then 15 min calisthenics for 5 days a week.
So my question is if my diet looks like im cutting or im bulking? And im trying to lose fat, that is all everyone and thank you in advance!

What keeps you from losing fat is not yourself but other people. Especially living at home with parents who literally do not care how much food you're eating and think you are skinny when you're actually not (WOW!) It's impossible to lose weight when you have absolutely no control over what you eat. I've tried fasting, excessive exercise, cutting calories, and it always makes me eat even more because of the fact that we have 1,000 times more food at home then anyone could possibly ever need. Unfortunately, I can't get out of this situation until I finish school and get out of this house. What a joke😡

The thing is, before you trained you were probably the skinny guy with almost no fat on your body. Then of course it's easy to build a six pack if you've never had to lose fat. training and eating a lot, it was probably nothing more. Maybe you should say something about it and not sell it as so easy to achieve this when you basically didn't have to do much to achieve it other than training properly.
