FINNAIR ATR 72-500 AY362 Economy Class - Kuopio to Helsinki, Winter Flying (2024) (4K)

First I will start off and say 1 & 1/2 days in Kuopio is not enough time...
An early start catching the bus to Kuopio Airport, being such a small airport I only planned to check-in 1 hr prior to the flight, which proved to be a good move, as the flight was delayed approximately 45 minutes due to the severe cold temperatures.
It was -23c in Kuopio, but significantly less at the Airport.
One of the advantages of smaller airports, plus flying aircraft such as the ATR 72-500 is the apron/ramp boarding. Putting aside the freezing temperatures, the walk to the aircraft (OH-ATI) afforded us some amazing views of the Sunrise (after 9am when we started to board).
It wasn't long before we were taxiing to the runway and taking off.
Flight was smooth with great views from takeoff to landing.
As is the case on all Finnair flights, you can't say no to the Blueberry Juice... we need it in Australia.
A smooth landing and it wasn't long before we were at Gate 8 deplaning and heading into the terminal.
When I got to the baggage carousel it seemed like my bag was the only one from that flight (I believe the people that checked in when I did were trusting to another Finnair flight).

For a smaller airport it was very good. I always love boarding a flight directly from the apron.
