People in Britain forgot how to make pottery for the same reason the textile industry in India fell apart : The Imperial overlords ruined local industry because it might compete with Rome. "What have the Romans done for us?" made us poor.

Most people are still primitive, shallow and stupid.
The beliefs they have, they will cling to, no matter what.
That means, not many people will change and they will continue to the end of their lives to believe the nonsense they grew up with.
Even unborn children are influenced by what they hear while in the womb.
Or having parents who smoked heavily, they will be influenced the habits of their parents and either never smoke, like me, or they too will become smokers.
My parents had no time while they were fighting to take good care of our needs.
Thank goodness I was blessed to be saved by my grandparents and given a real home at the age of 7.
I am so lucky that they went the extra mile to save us, my younger brother and me.
I chose to stay with them and my younger brother went to live with daddy and his new wife,
giving us both a better life.
But all through my life, I carried the feeling of abandonment and sadness.
I also became repressed until now...
After my children needed someone to defend them, I started coming out of my shell but to this day, I hate confrontations.
Why have I attracted bullies in my life when I mind my own business...
    I don't like most people.
All of the people who loved and cared for me are gone now.
A whole generation, all died out.
My beloved fur babies too, all gone except for one.
I don't believe there is anything after we die.
Nothing but release from pain and memories.
I think there is wisdom in knowing that.

I feel your pain, Deanna. I'm sorry for your many losses and hope there have been good things to bring you some joy and balance to your life. You are not alone, though it often feels that way these days between technology and the virus. 🖖✌🕊 peace to you and yours

@@feedermonkey7233 I live in an apartment when I yearn to live in a tiny house in nature, away from this horrid place that my two sons left me.
Now construction is going to start ad my nerves are on end. Because of big stress in my life, I developed panic and I tend to hate loud noises, like construction here, in this mad house.
I'm surrounded by smokers, ignorant men mostly who dislike me because I am not like them, in fact, they hate me.
I have one person who is part of this housing who knows me very well.
she is a social worker for the housing, I think. but has no solutions for me and my Aussie girl, Cinette-Rose.
On top of that, I have asthma and faint a lot if confronted with enough stress
I spend every day searching for like-minded people but have no friends here
It's going on 3 years now, never get to see my grand kids or my children
I'm at a disadvantage, no car, stuck in this apartment, 24/7, next door to the highway, and facing a parking lot, no place to garden, quiet path to walk with my fur girl.
Don't ask me how I cope, living on SSI, my family all dead now, I am not giving up but even though I may look younger than my age, it's getting lonely here.
I am an INFP type personality and tear up easily when I hear of other animals being killed, hunted, used and abused
Right now, we bird lovers are waiting to see if Iniko the Condor chick in Sur California, survived the fire
One of the things I enjoy doing is watching the live bird cams, starting with the eagles, the Garden of Eagles and the Decorahs and since then I have watched all kinds of birds, including birds of prey, albatrosses, etc.
I think my eyes have suffered, starring at the screen so much
I search the most intelligent people on the Planet, the ones with the most knowledge, I like up to people like Noam Chomsky, Chris Hedges, etc. too may to list here.
My boys, two of them, try to avoid my emails and hate to talk with me, I upset them and they upset me, never a good ending
I was their first teacher, they had the best Mom and even though I was dealing with an ex (over 30 years,) who treated me with verbal abuse and did not respect me, til he was dying, yes, He admitted he should have Appreciated me more, that is what his last words to me were.
I yearned to have a loving, caring mate but it never happened and he never changed
He used to call me Kid and say I was naive, I was naive for sure.
I se no hope for the human race and wish I could escape to be close to the natural world, not stuck here and my fur girl on leash all the time
The signs are plain to see, our world is heating up big time
I don't understand why most people choose to ignore what is right before our eyes and kep doing what they are doing
I lost faith in an invisible God a long time ago
I was a devout Catholic because my family were, mostly
Everything should stop, everything should go back to square one and start all over again
I don't think I will live through this coming construction while here
I am being moved to another apartment, the noise, my blood pressure.!
Now I have to take my fur girl out for the first time today
I wiah I had weitten some books, I've had an interesting life even though I never lft Massachusetts
I always wanted to set down roots but this is my 7th move
Once, I rented a cottage on a small island, West Island and it was good
But my landlord had to sell and I had to move, after 12 years
Noe O wish I could find an intelligent, kind buddy and move off the grid
      yours, lonely in Massachusetts, forgotten..
      Deanna Loretta
I'm a gal without a home, and their must be thousands of us in similar situations
I need a few good friends bu none live here...

The men who are wasting their time on porn and gaming have nobody to blame but themselves, and I am tired of hearing how men are devalued when women have been devalued for centuries. Let’s get over the gender identification and look at each other as human. Whether or not many men like it, the world is changing.

How about teaching our children the truth in school and teaching what really matters while we are alive?
Almost all things I learned about, I learned on my own.
And it really troubles me to be labelled because of my chronological age?
I am not going to accept it.
Most people my age are waiting to die.
I need to write a new chapter in my life but I can't do it alone.
Most people I meet are nay-sayers.
the ones who try to crush your dreams so you can join them...

I used to follow this guest many, many years ago. By listening to him then, I formed a picture of an islamophobe (he said some shocking things that you wouldn't say if you loved humanity) who thought of himself as superior, with his own religion as above other ones. A lot of his work is plagiarised from good writers at the time too. You have to have been in this game a long time to sort the wheat from the chaff.

Wow. That was an unnecessary moment of transphobia (23:42). Whatever our "consensus reality" is out there, is it really so troubled by "men competing in women's sports"? Express your solidarity as you will, in your life, but gender expression is not an ecological crisis.
