If you are having issues getting the software to install and open, try running your PC in safe mode. Thanks to Charles and Jordan below for figuring this out!
Did you scrape the film off of the connector? That would be my only other guess, it took me a few tries to get it but I eventually did with the combo of enough scraping and squeezing it together hard enough. Really felt like I was going to break it but that's what it took.
@@joatmon7621 oh no, didn't get to that part yet. The software wasn't installing at all. But I think I figured it out, I just restarted the computer in safe mode and it finally was able to start the install.
Did you fully restart your computer? Also if any of the remaining setup programs are running in the background it will not work. So make sure that no other ones are running in the task manager. You may end up needing to completely delete the program files from the computer and re-download them. Are you using the provided disk? Or an online download, I haven’t had good luck getting the online ones to work properly
@@joatmon7621 I just not restarted my PC. I was running as admin and closed those setup programs. I have one from the disk which is 3.19 but also tried one from online also didn’t work
I downloaded it from the disk that came with the AK90, I had to go buy a external disk reader to use it on my laptop though. I think you can also find it on google, possibly by searching “AK90+ software download”

Joatmon, did you have to scrape the ews3 pins to make contact with the AK90 reader cap?
Yes, i did scrape pretty aggressively with a small flat blade screwdriver. Seemed to be pretty resilient and did not seem to hurt it.
Any other suggestions? I just tried it but it's still not working unfortunately

I tried those steps on my pc for getting the installer to work and it still didnt run the installer

@@joatmon7621 Just now* reset pc and tried it. I’m gonna try and run my pc in safe mode and see what it does
