this might be the best review ever! im switching from the NZXT H510 to the Montech X3 and im so stoked for the better airflow and more room to work with vertically.
Awesome case review once again Alaina 🥰🎉🥳! Truely an awesome case for the money and with 6x RGB fans for $70USD is a steal! Excellent value for money and great job Montech 🥰🥳🎉🤯!
28:55 I think it's important to note that they're not ARGB fans. They are not "addressable" and cannot be changed with a controller or via the motherboard. 6 fans for this price is still a great deal. But you can find some cases in this price range with ARGB fans if you shop around.
Alaina, thanks so much for the great review - as you usually dd, an you deserve an applause for such a high-level of consistency. You got my 'Like.' Happy New Years :)
I have no qualms against montech. Think for the money you pay, you get excellent value for the money spent. I use the montech air 900 and I'm satisfied with it. One thing I think that case shouldve had and not worried so much about the RGB nonsense is rubber cable grommets on the case interior. The air 900 has that feature however it does not have the hinged glass, which I'm jealous about tbh. Undoing thumb screws each time you need access to the interior is a minor inconvenience, but if I cared enough about that I should've sprung for a more brand new rig I suppose. In summary you get excellent value for what you pay for these cases I feel.
I can’t get the back fan to turn on. I swapped the front 3 for different fans I bought before I knew the case had 6. I swapped the top 2 for an aio cooler. I can’t get the back one to turn on no matter how hard I try.
This is a fantastic case for the price. Gamers Nexus gave it a good review and I needed a good cheap case with good airflow so I bought one. I replaced the two top fans and rear fan with 120mm pwm ones since I had them lying around, and for the three 140 mm molex fans on the front I used an adapter to run them from a motherboard fan connector and I adjusted the fan speeds by temperature and voltage in the bios, and that works very well. The steel used to make this case is a little on the thin side, but not thin enough to make me regret buying it. i recommend this case if you want cheap along with great airflow. Plus, it looks good. Also, for some reason you said it holds one 3.5" drive. No, it's made to hold two, and I managed to get four in it by some creative mounting.
@@pcworld That's okay. I made a mistake once ;) There's barely just enough room for one more 3.5" drive on top of the cage-type mount that holds the two 3.5" drives. I mounted it upside down so it wouldn't short out against metal and put a piece of black card stock cut the right size on top of the drive so you can't see the jury-rigged drive pressed up against the underside of the PSU cage while still leaving just enough space for airflow so the drive doesn't overheat. For the fourth drive I just sat it on the back side of the case's motherboard tray and zip tied it in. That fourth drive is visible through the glass door but you'd have to look carefully to see it and it doesn't look out of place at all since the top of the drive and not the pc board is facing towards the glass door and you can see a part of it from the underside of the tray through the glass door. I could actually get more drives in there if I wanted to mount more drives the same way and sit them between the side cover and the motherboard tray. I never intended initially to put that many drives in there but I ended up with an extra 1 tb and a 6 tb drive so why not use them. I think this case would be perfect if it had some sort of dust filtration system in the front between the mesh and the fans, and if there was thicker metal around the backplate area because it's kinda bendy there but for the money I'm not complaining at all. I like it a lot. It was perfect for my budget and it should last me a long time. It's just big enough to fit a chunky 3 fan 3060 ti and a noctua nh-d15s so it ticks all the boxes for me.
@@pf100andahalf hey bro i dont know if you could check this lol but i was hoping to put a cpu cooler with a height of 160mm in there, do you know of it will fit?
Easy enough to get an aftermarket vertical gpu riser as that will fit. Got one in my Fractal Design Refine R4 case. They are easy to install. Critizing a case because of the bottom colors is ludricous as how often are you going to look underneath.
As much as the daisy chain makes us cringe, the typical person buying this case, will probably buy a mobo that won't have enough headers for 6 rgb fans.
got one for 57 euros including shipping. but im gonna have to throw out the preinstalled jet engine fans and put some cheap but quiet arctic fans in there
Think the PC master race gets too hung up on aesthetic sometimes. Wish it went back to more down to earth design language like the late 90s/early 2000s instead of worrying about RGB 🤮
If they throw out those useless FRGB fans and sell this thing for 15 bucks less, it might be a good budget choice. Seriously, stop selling your cases with these stupid fans and pushing the prices up uneccessarily. Make them optional instead and sell the case with no fans for less.

so can i not use a software like armoury crate to change their colours?
@@_BattsI heard someone said if you press the reset button it changes the color

The obvious solution to getting matching fans is to buy 2 of the cases and take the 2 fans you need and toss the rest. /s
If you have that much money to burn, get a better case and fans.
@@DeeDee.Ranged Guess you missed the /s.
This is my pc case and it’s pretty good and it’s small but still good
THanks !
I found the Pansonite cases a great value also...same price point, 3 140mm, 1-120mm fans, for 70ish dollars.
Awesome case ! Great deal.
Buy 6 fans from Montech, get a free case.
the fans are molex so kinda shitty
Anyone having problems with the Molex fans? Like mine aren't spinning or glowing

This case does look nice!!
Very quirky case but for the price can't complain too much.
where do you plug pwoer into fan thing at back

can anyone please tell me why my rgb isnt working when the fan is? I thought all we had to do was connect the daisy chain to the psu, am I wrong?
Led button in middle of case top io
So is there no way to adjust the fan speed?
Can you change the fans to a static color?
As much as the daisy chain makes us cringe, the typical person buying this case, will probably buy a mobo that won't have enough headers for 6 rgb fans.
Yes, that's why the case has a fan hub.
@@purplecrayon7281no it doesnt??
PLEASE REPLY my RGB fans don't work and I'm stressed and this is my first time building a pc
is it really airflow mesh?
Como se quita el panel frontal del gabinete? Ayuda :c
Having zero control over RGB color reduces the value of the RGB fans too much ATP for me to consider it.
Hello, Can I put 3 fans VGA inside this case?
You can replace the fans with others of your choice -Alaina
impressive for the price no doubt

are there anyway to turn off the fan?
Yes, unplug them.

So i cant change the rgb color
Unfortunately no. But if you like a rainbow effect, it's perfect :) -Alaina
Now almost $100

she's beautiful
If this was $55...The RGB fans are GARBAGE...NOT PWM aand NOT ARGB!!! NO DEAL!
hello bro, I didn't find this information on my Russian CZcams, I hope you can help, please tell me the fans are very noisy? thank you in advance
