Wondering if you are going to updates on the Hp3501 console as to any defects experienced, is there any fading of the brightness and any screen lettering burn seen on the screen? Also is the sonic gauge fairly accurate, accurate or very accurate? Many thanks for any video updates.
A year ago in the spring the battery went flat. I put another one in and same thing. There's been a short-circuit. I had an earlier copy that Ecowitt sent me and I replaced the chip from it and so far it works, but unfortunately in my case the rain gauge after two years in a temperate climate (humid and chilly, foggy winters, sometimes frost) catches failures. Now I have a collar on the funnel and in terms of rainfall readings and connection with the console it works very well.
